Chapter One
The night had descended over the land. Stating the day.
In one moment, everything that once had been, is not anymore. A great evil has surface. Taking with it a lion-heart. The dark
gloomy clouds remained in place. Imprisoning it, to devour whatever and whoever it sought.
What started out as an pact between two friends to connect
their countries, while bringing to deserving hearts to each other. A planned wedding of his brother Marcus and the princess
Allyia.
But that was foiled when she was kidnapped and sold as
an slave. To his brother’s head advisor. But Kane didn’t figure that one out until it was too late.
By the time they arrived to inform his brother, the Princess
had been discovered and Marcus didn’t want to have anything to do with her. She then feeling she had lost his, became
ill.
But Marcus then decided he couldn’t live without
her. So he decided to take he from her father and hide out until she was well. Again all was jeopardized when the slavers
captured the two and brought them to the land of the Dreds. A Magical land. The last place his brother needed to be.
And this is where they are now. In a very perilous time.
Marcus has become slipped to the dark side.
Kane had removed himself from the others. He needed to
meditate. Think this through without their distractions. His eyes fixed on the land of the Dreds. The place his brother had
been lost to him.
His mind went back to a time when they were happy as boys.
Marcus had always watched out for him. Then that too changed one day. His Father’s sister came to stay in the castle.
She was a tall blonde haired beauty. With ice blue eyes. Nearly white. There were some circumstances that led her back to
her family’s castle.
Marcus told him she was ran from another country, because
she was different. Kane didn’t understand at the time what he meant by that. But one thing he knew, his brother was
intrigued by their Aunt.
The time they once spent was taken by her. Kane didn’t
like her for some reason. He revealed this to Marcus. He just laughed at him and told him he was jealous, because he wasn‘t
playing with him like he had once. His Aunt knew Kane could see her for what she was. Evil incarnate.
One day while walking in the corridors. Kane looked up
to see his Aunt standing in front of him. He had no idea where she had come from. Kane paused for a moment, deciding if he
should retreat or not. Before he could decide, she was upon him faster than an heartbeat.
“Dear sweet Kane. Were you trying to run away from
your loving Aunt?” She had him cornered. Her icy voice touched his ears. She gazed down upon him with her void blue
eyes.
“Nuh....no! I was just remembering somewhere I had
to be.” He lied. His voice trembled.
“Hmmmm. Marcus tells me you’re not very fond
of me. Why my Dear nephew?” She touched his face with her finger. He very a jolt course through his body.
“No.....leave me along.” Kane screamed, closing
his eyes, hoping for someone to hear him. They did. Suddenly, he felt her touch no more. She was thrown backwards, sliding
across the room. Impacting into the wall with a thud. Kane laid on the ground huddled into a fetal position. Still begging
her to leave him alone.
“Kane! What’s wrong? You look like you were
far away. But then I don‘t blame you.” The soft voice came from behind him. Bringing him back from long gone memories.
He turned to see Allyia coming up the small path.
“I would thought you of all people weren’t
speaking to me.” He shook the memory off and turned his attention to the lovely Princess.
“No Kane. I need to understand all that is happening
here. And what is it we can do.“ She took a seat by him, looking into his gray eyes.
Chapter Two
Kane sat on the rock, staring into space. His mind wandered
back to another day long ago. He had recuperated from the encounter with his Aunt. He passed out, only to wake in his bed.
His mother was at his side.
“You alright my darling?” His mother’s
voice was soothing. She kissed his forehead. Her eyes were dark brown. Raven long silk hair. She was kind and gentle. And
above all loved her family dearly.
“Yes mother. I-I-I’m okay. What happened?”
Kane asked her. She sighed and looked passed him to nothing in particular. Then she cast her eyes back to him lovingly.
“Nothing my Dear Son. And nothing ever will happen
to your brother are I. That’s a promise.” She rested her delicate hand down his face.
“Kane!” Allyia called to him. Kane shook of
the past once again. He hadn’t thought about these things in years. But now, for some reason they were flooding his
mind. As if they wanted him to remind him of something long forgotten.
“Yes! Yes I am Princess.” Kane rose to his
feet and walked a short distance, looking at the land his brother remained. Allyia came to stand next to him, mimicking him.
“What do you think is happening now? Do you think
he has destroyed the Dreds and their village?” Allyia’s voice was very saddened.
“I doubt it. If he were, we would be seeing some
type of manifestation. Everything seems quite silent. But how long? I’m not sure.” Kane inhaled a deep breath
and slowly allow it to go.
“You’re not going to tell me what is happening
to Marcus are you?” Allyia realized Kane was being very vague about this situation. He looked down at her and smiled.
“That’s what I thought.” She said, giving
him a long sad stare, turned and went back down the rock to join her father.
“I really wish I could tell you. But the truth is,
I don’t know much myself. Only what is slowly resurfacing in my mind. It’s as if someone programmed me for this
day.
“Kane! What happened between you and Aunt Moran?”
Marcus came running into Kane’s room after hearing his parents discussing the departure of the Aunt.
“I don’t know. I can’t remember much.
She had me in the corner, acting real weird. She said you had told her I didn’t like her. Then she touched me and there
was this pain in me. I don’t remember much after that until wakening here in bed with Mother next to me.” Kane
told his brother.
“I never told her anything about what you felt for
her. I would never betray you. Never Kane! Do you believe me?” Marcus eyes were filling with tears. How dare his Aunt
use his kindness towards her to hurt his brother. And most of all, to try and make his Kane think he would discuss what was
between them to anyone.
“Yeah Marcus. I believe you.” Kane knew his
brother. Marcus’ eyes lit up, with a smile to match. Then they turned dark green.
“I’m going to teach her not to use me against
my family ever again.” He turned and started out the room. Kane felt a dread wash over him.
“Marcus what are you going to do? Stay away from
her. She’s evil Marcus. She’s evil.” Kane began to cry as he watch is brother pause to listen for a moment
then continue on his way. He has always been stubborn.
“KANE! KANE! Is Allyia with you?” Jared was
yelling as he came into Kane’s presence. He stared at Jared for a second, then looked out over the desert, to see the
small figure racing away. Heading for the man she loved more than life itself.
Chapter Three
Kane sat crying in his bed, watching his brother Marcus
disappeared from his room. On his way to confront his Aunt. He knew when Marcus’ mind is set, it’s no use but
to get out of is way. But this time it was different. His Aunt had an dark heart. She had no love for any of them. She only
knew how to use for her needs. Kane realized he had to go stop Marcus before it was too late.
He jumped from his bed and grabbed his trousers trying
to put them on as he ran from his room. And nearly crashed into his mother, who was coming to check on her sick son.
“Where do you think you’re going young man?”
She grabbed his arm and slowly began to pull him back towards his bed.
“Mother, please! It’s important I find Marcus.”
He struggled to get away from her. Her dark eyes widen at his resistance.
“Kane! You get right back in bed this instance.”
She gave him a little shake. Kane stopped and stared into the determined eyes of his Mother.
“Mother. I need to find Marcus. He may be in trouble.”
He calmed down enough to explain to her. She straighten upwards, staring long and hard at her youngest son.
“What is it that makes you think Marcus is in trouble?
What has that boy done now?” His Mother raised an eyebrow.
Kane watched as the Princess crossed over into the land
of the Dreds. She traveled at a great speed. He turned to an distraught Jared. This was more than he could bare. He sunk to
the ground as dead. Kane call to some of his men to come and help move him into one of the tents.
One of the men had knowledge of medicine. He checked him
over, then exited the tent to an anxious Kane. From the look on his face he didn’t bare good news.
“What is wrong with my dear friend?” He asked.
The Medic, walked a short distance pass Kane, trying to break the news as tactful as possible. He shook his head, then turned
at stared at Kane.
“His heart gave out on him. He really needs to get
back to the Castle. The doctors can attend to him. I can’t help him.” The man sighed helplessly. Kane walked away
from the man and entered the tent. He gazed down at his friend so frail.
“I’m so sorry my Friend. This has just been
a little too much for you. You hang in there. I promise you this one thing. You will have your daughter back. At ALL costs.
Even my very life.” Kane sat on the ground near Jared and gently touched the hand of the man who had been more than
a friend or mentor. But the father, who took the place of the one he loss many years ago.
“Mother, please. Go help Marcus. He’s in great
danger.” Kane allowed the tears to drop from his eyes. He was too overwhelmed with concern for his brother. His mothers
eyes narrowed. She had never seen Kane so flustered.
“Kane! Calm down and tell me what is going on?”
She sat on his bed, laying her gently hand on his own. He wiped his wet face with the other hand, staring into his mother’s
loving eyes. She will make it better.
“Marcus went to confront Aunt Moran because she told
me that Marcus told her I didn’t like her.” Kane began. His mother slightly tensed with hearing this woman’s
name in the same sentence of her children.
“When did she tell you this?” She asked, trying
to keep her composure. She didn’t want to upset him anymore than he was.
“When you found me in the hallway.” Kane told
her looking up and waiting for her to reprimand him for keeping that part from her, for of the reason he was on the floor
in the hallway.
“I’ll go find him. Now calm down and get yourself
some rest. You stay put no matter what. I don‘t need to be worrying about both of you.” His mother ordered him.
She placed her hand on the side of his face, looking deep into his eyes. Then with a soft kissed on his forehead, she turned
and left the room. Kane sighed with relief. But an dread overcame him.
What if his mother and Marcus needed him? He just couldn‘t
stay put while they face that evil witch. Kane disobeyed his mother for the first time ever. He throw back the covers off.
Jumped out of bed, grabbing the trousers he had struggled earlier to put on while running to find Marcus. Then left his room
in search of his Mother and Marcus.
Chapter Four
“Troy!” Kane exiting the tent where his Old
Friend Jared lied nearly at the door of death. Seeing his daughter riding into danger. A danger he was not equipped to protect
her. This was just more than his heart could bare. So he did the next best thing, escape into the land of sleep. Where he
wouldn’t have to deal with the outcome.
“I want you to take the army and return with Jared
to the castle. He is in need of the help of our Physicians there. And make sure he is safe and well taken care of.”
Kane commanded him. Troy looked concerned.
“What about you Sire? What will become of the Dark
Lord, you and the Princess?” He wanted to stay with Kane to the end.
“It’s not your worry. You see that everyone
gets as far away from here as possible. Whatever may happen. Will happen. It’s out of our hands now.” Kane said
to him. Then turned away ordering the army to prepare to leave. Troy didn’t like leaving his Princes in this manner.
Allyia slowed the horse down, as she came upon the campsite
she last saw her Marcus. She brought the horse to a full stop and looked around for any sign of her beloved. He wasn’t
present. So she felt and dismounted.
She was surprise with the huge display of lights coming
from this area. Everything remained intact. She picked up the robe Marcus had on when they were captured, as he laid dead
to the world.
“What happened to you Marcus? Why is Kane so determined
not to tell me? I know he knows.” She whispered to herself, as she took in his aroma from the robe. Tears began to fill
her eyes. She sat on the ground, trying to figure out her next move.
“I guess I should go see if the village of the Dreds
remains untouched.” She remounted the steed and headed in the direction she watched the warriors go. Allyia was never
aware she had been watched from the moment she crossed the border. A small chuckle escaped the mouth of the watcher.
Kane saw that his army were well away, before heading to
the border. He stood at the edge of the border, weighing his options. There were none. Allyia was under Marcus’ spell
and he needed to free her before he took her over completely.
But would he be able to fight off his brothers power over
him when he cross over. And then, would he be able to keep his promise to Jared. So many things ran through his mind. He urged
the horse onwards, finally taking the plunge into the enchanting land.
Allyia guided the horse until she spotted the village in
the near distance. She took the horse to an mild gallop. It wasn’t long before a few Dreds exited the hillside surrounding
the village and came up behind her. One pulled up alongside her.
“You? You were the one who was going to accompany
us to assure the safety of the village.” The young Dred said to her. Allyia recognized him right off. He was the son
of the Dred leader and the one that nearly loss his life at the hand of Marcus.
“Yes I am. Is all well?” She asked as they
continue on to the village.
“So far. But we’re packing up to move form
here. It isn’t safe. He could strike at anytime. Why did you risk your life to come here?” He finally asked.
“Because he is a good man. I have no idea what is
happening here. His brother knows, yet won’t tell me anything. That’s why I am here. May be I can keep you all
safe. May be.” She told him as they arrived at the outskirts of the village.
“My father will be glad to see you.” He jumped
from his horse and assisted her off hers. Then they led the horses into the busy village. They were tearing down the tents
and rolling them up into bundles.
Then packed them on the back of sleds, pulled by horses.
Children ran around playing with yapping dogs. Allyia felt so sorry for these beings who had to leave their homes due to the
possibility Marcus will attack them.
“Princess. I see you left your father and the other.”
The Dred Leader saluted her. He had been urging his people to hurry before they become no more.
“Yes.” She replied dismounting.
“Why did you come despite their protests?”
He asked, curious to why she would put herself in so much danger.
“I think I may be able to keep him from harming any
of you.” Allyia didn’t want them to know the real reason. She felt the odds Marcus coming to destroy the village
was great. She wanted to be there when he did.
Chapter Five
Kane stood at the border contemplating pressing onwards.
He knew his brother was near, watching and waiting for him. Strange how this day came to be. His mind wandered back in time.
He ran down the corridors in search of his brother and
mother. He came to his wicked Aunts room. No one was there. He continue to run until he came upon a servant walking to one
of the rooms.
“Have you seen my mother brother or Aunt?”
He asked. She paused from going into the room and approached the distraught child.
“Your mother asked me the same thing. I told her
your brother and Aunt headed for the garden. She seemed very upset and ran away. I think she went there.” Kane turned
and made a hasten flight to the stairwells to his family.
He ran through the double doors and searched diligently
for them. Then he heard voices. He paused to listen for where they were coming. Yes, it was is mother and aunt. He ran to
the area. He was just rounding the hedges when a explosion knocked him backwards. Everything went dark.
He kicked the horse in the side. It walked to the border,
crossing over. He continue anticipating the change to come over him as it had his brother. Strangely enough. He didn’t
feel anything. He felt the same as he had before he came into the land of Magick. The one place he and his brother were ever
forbidden to touch ground.
“That’s strange. I was sure that if I were
to come into this land. The same insanity my brother suffered would be my fate. Why did I feel that would happened?”
Kane tried to recollect what gave him the idea, he wasn’t able to cross over into Magical Lands.
Kane woke up in his bed. He was numb to the world around
him. But that soon changed as the sensation of pain washed over his body. Then the fog in his head lifted. He became aware
of what had happened before the darkness.
“Mother! Marcus! Where are you?” Kane shot
up in bed, looking around. His heart rate was rapid. His breathing shallow and quick. A shadow passed over him and sat down
on his bed in front of him. He moved back up into his bed in fear.
“Son! Calm down. I’m here.” His father’s
voice touched his ear. His soul felt at ease.
“Father!” Kane crawled into his father’s
arm, surrendering to their protection.
“There, there my Son. All will be well.” His
voice soothed him.
“Where is Mother? And Marcus?” Kane’s
sad voice touched his father’s heart. So much had passed while he was away on business.
How would he tell his young son what happened, as he laid
unconscious for these last several days?
Chapter Six
“Mother! Mother!” Marcus’ voice filled
the sewing room of his mother. She looked up from the old fashion sewing machine. Taken in by her excited son.
“Marcus, honey! What is wrong?” She then rose
from her chair walking to meet him in the middle of the room.
“Kane, Mother! What happened and where is he?”
He was trembling all over. His mother encircled him with her arms, bringing him close to her bosom.
“Calm down Marcus. Kane is fine. He’s in his
room resting.” She rubbed her hand through his hairs. He was nearly as tall as her. 5’9” at thirteen years
of age. If he kept this growth rate, he’ll be nearly seven feet tall.
“What happened? I heard some of the servants saying
he was hurt.” Marcus pulled back from her to look into her eyes.
“Nothing to worry yourself about. I discovered him
in the hallway and took him to his room. he’s safe now.” His mother stared into the emerald eyes so bright and
innocent.
“Are you sure?” he asked, never leaving his
mother’s gaze. She smiled and nodded her head, then place a light kiss on his forehead. Marcus smiled back to his mother.
Then turned and race off to his brother’s room, to see for himself he was safe.
Kane dismounted and began to inspect the area his brother
had stood. Yes, he could feel the leftover power that had once flowed through the land. No wonder he didn’t feel any
effects. Marcus had absorbed it. Then that could mean only one thing.
Marcus’ long legs took him rapidly though the corridors
in search of his Aunt. He will teach her not to lie on him. And most of all. Hurt anyone in his family.
He spotted her slithering down the stairs. He called to
her. She continued downwards reaching the main floor, swiftly vanished through the glass doors leading to the garden.
Marcus grew angrier. Which caused him to lose common sense.
He literally jumped two steps at a time, hitting the main floor. He took off into a gallop out the same doors his Aunt had
just exited.
She will pay dearly. The Old Witch. She thinks she is so
powerful. She has no idea how much I have learned. Nor is she aware I have been secretly watching her. I know more than she
realizes. But I think it’s time for her to be informed.” Marcus said to himself as he searched the gardens for
his Aunt.
“Marcus my dear nephew. Were you seeking me?”
His Aunt’s voice emanating from behind him. He jumped with a start, turning a around to face his adversary.
“Yes! And you heard me call to you. Why didn’t
you stop?” Marcus voice harsh. She began to move slowly around Marcus, like a tiger stalking it’s prey. Her eyes
were nearly white and cold.
“I didn’t hear you Marcus.” She lied.
Marcus’ eyes grew dark, watching her every movement. His hands balled up into fists, trying to remain calm.
“You lie. Like you lied to Kane. What did you do
to him?” Marcus asked her turning as she continue to circle him.
“I did nothing to him. He does have a vivid imagination.
Did he tell you I did something to him?” She baited him. Marcus could feel his rage swelling in the pit of his stomach.
“Do not toy with me Aunt Moran. I have you forgotten
all that you have shared with me.” Marcus voice became void of emotion. Moran ceased from walking. She looked ahead
of her, as if debating something. Then she turned her head and glared at Marcus.
“You think you are knowledgeable enough to take me
on?” She turned completely around to face the boy. Her voice was a low monotone. Her eyes became as black fish eyes.
Marcus took a step backwards. Suddenly the rage within him, turned to fear.
“He may not be able to challenge you. But I certainly
am more than able, Moran. Or did you forget your lesson from this afternoon, when you try to harm Kane?” The voice came
from nowhere, causing both Moran and Marcus to search where it was flowing. until the person came from behind the hedges.
“Mother!” Marcus yelled out, sending the loudest
thunder clap throughout the land of the Dreds.
Part Seven
Kane froze on the spot. That was not an ordinary thunder
rumble. Something is going on with Marcus. He could sense it. He hasn’t done anything for a while. Maybe the surge of
energy had cause him to fall asleep until his body could adjust to the power taking it over.
“I have to find you before you are able to use those
newfound powers. But first I’ll have to find Allyia. Before you do.” Kane hopped up on the horses back and compelled
it to move onwards to the village of the Dreds.
Allyia and the villagers made there way North, heading
for the next country. One that was as normal, until it was safe to return home. She wondered where Marcus had gone to and
if he would overtake them before they reach safety.
“How long do you think we have?” She asked
the Leader. He kept his face to the north, urging his people on. He didn’t want to answer that question. Because the
truth was, he had no idea.
“Actually, I’m surprise he hasn’t attacked
us already. I don’t know. Maybe he’s sadistic enough to allow us to get to the border before dashing our hopes
of escape.” He relayed to Allyia. She was speechless. Yes! Maybe that was the plan. She thought.
Marcus’ mother moved slowly between Moran and Marcus.
Shielding him from anything she may throw their way. Moran began her stalk around the two. But the Mother, matched he step
for step, keeping her son protected behind her.
“Your days are number Moran. When your brother gets
home, I will inform him of all your misdeeds. Including teaching Marcus the arts. Something he should never had been exposed.”
His Mother eyes never left her sister-in-law.
“Why Elyse? Because he would be more powerful than
my brother and you put together? I just taught him about his heritage. What was the harm?” Moran taunted Elyse.
“If you know anything. You know he doesn’t
need the added aggravation. He needs to learn to control his emotions before he could handle powers.” The Elyse explained.
“Why should he have to control his emotions. Or power
for that matter?” She stopped in her tracks. She could sense another nearby. The other.
Kane ran through the garden until he came upon the voices.
Marcus was very angry. He started to go in to help him, when heard another voice. His mother was on the other side of the
clearing. He didn’t want her to know he had disobeyed.
He listen to them talk, very confused him with all that
was being said. His Aunt was an true Witch? And she had been teaching Marcus’ the art. But what did his mother mean
by her lesson when trying to hurt him?
Or Marcus didn’t need the added aggravation and needed
to control his emotions? What has that have to do with anything? Then he heard his Aunt say something about him. This peaked
his curiosity.
“What about Kane? Should he not be taught as well?
Or should he learn to control his emotions as Marcus?” She mouth crooked into a half smile. Elyse paused, sensing Kane
near. He was just beyond the hedges.
“Ahahaha! So which one will it be Elyse? You can’t
save them both. Now can you?” She began to laugh out loud, causing Kane to shriek behind the hedges.
Kane pulled on the reins, as his memory began to flow into
his head. Something about being in the garden that day. Why can’t I remember what happened? Why? Kane thought, trying
to strain his subconscious mind to release what was locked inside.
“I can and will protect them both from you Moran.
I will.” Elyse eyes narrowed. Moran stared into those slits. She raised her arm, hand flat with fingers together. She
slowly moved it in the direction of the hedges where Kane hid.
Kane got up and was just rounding the hedges when a explosion
knocked him backwards. There was a blaze of whit/yellow light that followed. A hideous woman’s scream filled the air
then abruptly it ended.
Kane laid flat on his back, barely breathing. Then just
before fading away, he could see his mother. She ran to his side, with Marcus close behind. He felt her gentle touch on his
face. Her breath was on his face. She was whispering something to him, but the dark was enveloping him. Finally, pulling him
in.
Chapter Eight
Kane thought back to the memories that flowed through his
mind. He recalled waking up. His father at his side. He asked what happened to hi Mother and Marcus.
“Where is Mother, Father?” He was still groggy.
His father looked up from the chair he had sat in for days, while his young son laid semi comatose.
“Shhh! Rest my Son. Your body needs to heal.”
His Father stood up and sat on the bed, still holding his son’s hand. Comforting him.
Wh-where is Marcus?” Kane was reeling from the effects
of the blast.
“Do you remember anything of that day?” His
father asked.
“I-I remember an explosion. Then Mother was with
me, while I laid on the ground, Father. She was saying something to me. I can’t remember what. Everything went dark.
Until now.” Kane relived the event. His father’s thoughts seem to wonder to place far away. Kane could see a strange
expression come over his father’s face.
“Are they alright, Father?” Kane’s sad
voice touched his father’s heart. So much had transpired while he was away on an business trip. If only he had been
here. Things would have been different.
“I’m sorry Son. Your mother has gone on. But,
Marcus is well. He’s resting from the ordeal.” His Father’s voice trembled, as he tried to keep his composure
for his young son’s sake.
“Gone? Where did she go?” Kane asked. Confused.
“She’s gone Son. Far away. Never to return.
Dead.” His Father’s emotions were getting the best of him.
“Nooooooooo!” The Small Kane yelled, simultaneous
as an sleeping Marcus woke from his mini hibernation. Yelling from a dream of memories.
“Mother!” He screamed. His heart nearly jumping
out of his chest. His breathing shallow and rapid.
It’s wasn’t my fault. He thought. No one told
her to do it. I could have handled that witch. He conversed with himself mentally. Then the fog lifted, as he became aware
all around him.
Oh! Just a dream. He gather himself. And rose from the
ground in the cave he had slumbered, after feeling the after effects of the power he absorbed from this Mystical Land.
“Mmmm!” His senses fully intact now. He could
feel everything and one’s whereabouts.
“Both the Virginal Princess and my Brother have bravely
venture over into this place. Well, I’ll have to make both their stays a rewarding one. For me that is.” Marcus
chuckled as he rose from his bed of leaves where he had lain, shelter in a small cave.
As he exited the cave. His destination set. How did he
get here? Something strange began to develop. In the back of his mind. A battle of his conscious. Good vs the Evil.
Kane’s head cocked to the side. Listening, sensing
his brother’s presence. Odd. His powers were strengthening by the moment. But it seems they have an opposite effect
on him then his brother. He didn’t go insane as Marcus. Instead he felt strong and in control.
Allyia! He’s going after her and the Dreds. He has
to stop him. But can he? What if this is a trick Marcus is playing on him? Making him think he is strong and in control. All
the while luring him into a trap. To bring him over to the dark side.
Marcus continue with the battle within himself. Who is
this monster who had stolen his identity?
‘Don’t you know Marcus?’ The voice flowed
in his mind. ‘It’s you. The dark side of you that has been dormant for years. Only to be awaken when you touch
the Mystical Land of the Dreds. Don’t you remember? You almost while sleeping. The dream that wasn’t a dream.
Of the day your mother died.’
Chapter Nine
Marcus watched his Mother and Aunt arguing. Then his Aunt
said something about Kane, then turned her eyes to the hedges raising her hand and pointed it. His Mother began to say something
under her breath, he didn’t quite understand.
His Aunt was able to sent a power surge towards the hedges,
just before she was sent flying backwards. Kane had been standing there.
“What was that?” Marcus stopped in his tracks.
He remembered that day barely. But one thing he knew. There was something more to his mother than he had known.
“You had powers we didn’t know about. Not even
Kane knows what I know.” Marcus chuckled to himself.
Kane laid on the ground. His mother hovered over him, speaking
softly to him. Marcus remember standing behind her. Concerned for his brother. Then behind him he heard a noise. It was his
Aunt.
“Know this Sorceress! Your Children will never be
able to walk the Mystical Lands, without going insane with power. This is a curse I set on Marcus first.” Then her eyes
glowed, sending a piercing light through his body. He slumped to the ground, barely able to move.
She looked to Kane and began to curse him also, but his
Mother counter attacked sending the power back into her. She grasped her head in agony, running from the place screeching
like a banshee.
“Marcus, my Love! I’m so sorry. For allowing
that woman to come into our home and disrupt it.” His mother ran to him, taking him up into her arms.
“I wish your Father were here. He would know what
to do. But he isn’t. So I will do what I must. I love you both dearly. Always remember that. Protect each other with
Love. That will be the key to counter this curse she has put on you.” She cried as she held her fallen son in her arms.
Then both became aglow.
Kane watched all from where he laid. Suddenly, her glow
faded and Marcus’ grew stronger, until it disappeared into him. His mother’s body fell lifeless to the ground.
“Oh no! I remember!” Kane stood stunned. He
had blocked this out of his mind. It was the last thing he saw before slipping into darkness. He began to weep for his mother.
And her Death!
Marcus came to an halt. Something he felt troubled. Tears
filled his eyes. He felt himself becoming drained. This is not how he had envisioned being powerful. All of this inner struggle.
I bet his mother had something to do with this.
What is this. Kane, my brother! He’s sad about something.
I can sense his sorrow. Oh yes! Something about their mother and her death. It wasn’t my fault. She didn’t have
to sacrifice her life for mines. His battle was just beginning.
Chapter Ten
Marcus began his quest. More determined to reach the beautiful
Allyia. He could taste her. Her scent filled his nostril, arousing all his manliness. She was untouched. She will be the one
by his side. After he makes her one with him.
He was aware of all that was happening, but not in control
anymore. It was like he was inside looking out. Only for the ride. Kane and Allyia needed him. He could see the memories of
the day his Mother died and why. He could feel Kane’s anguish. But he doesn’t know the full story of that day.
He should be with him. To comfort him. But he is trapped
inside of his on body, while this fiend, who was now in control moved closer to his Allyia.
“Great Leader. The Beast has awaken. We must get
to the next land before he gets to us.” The New Shaman warned. Allyia looked from the Shaman then to the Leader.
“I’m sorry princess! We will not be able to
outrun him. Not with the women and children.” The Dred Leader knew it was futile. His eyes left the gaze of Allyia and
looked to the land so far away that would have been their refuge.
“You can’t give up! Let’s keep going.
Who knows we may be able to get there before he catches us.” Allyia for ever the optimist.
“What I’m saying to you Princess. Is to lead
us now. Go save yourself. It’s only fitting that we die in our land. Not you. This isn’t your land. Now go. Leave
us to our faith.” He dismounted and stared up to her then to his people trailing behind.
“I can’t leave you here.” She dismounted
her horse also. The face of the Dred leader tensed. He wouldn’t look at her.
“I am not requesting you to leave. I’m telling
you to go from us.” He turned his back to her. Allyia paused for a moment, then moved to stand in front of him, eyes
searching for an answer to this sudden change.
“If you’re trying to be noble.......”
She never finished. He gripped both of her arms in his powerful hands, lifted her off the ground and glared deep into her
eyes.
“You don’t quite understand Princess. There’s
nothing noble about my people and I. We are definitely killers. And on any other day. You would have been sport for my men.
But we share a common foal.” The leader began. Allyia was stunned silent.
“But even with your presence, It hasn’t deterred
him from coming after us. So listen very carefully. Your life depends on it. Either you save yourself or we will kill you
for the Beast.” His eyes never change the mood, as he slowly set her on the ground. Allyia backed away shivering, nearly
falling to the ground. She hadn’t saw this side of this Leader. But, she could tell he meant every word. She quickly
ran to her horse and fumbled with the stirrups, finally mounted the horse. With one swift movement sat on its back and commanding
it to go.
She was in full gallop, tears streaming down her face.
How could she not see the evilness in him? Had she been so tied up in Marcus that all of her senses had been blocked. She
ran trying to get to the other land. Safe from both Marcus and the dreadful Dreds.
“That was noble of you Leader. Sending her away to
safety.” The new Shaman stated, watching the Leader look after Allyia as she lengthen the distance from His people and
him.
“Remember what I said Shaman. There’s no nobility
in us.” He said this turning from the fleeing Princess and to face his doomed people.
Chapter Eleven
Kane sat on a rock, thinking about how his Mother gave
her life force to Marcus. He thought he had been knocked unconscious with the initial blast. But not so. He had been so devastated
by seeing his mother’s life slip away, he had blocked that part out.
“I know you loved us more than life itself. But I
wished somehow you could have found another way to save Marcus.” Kane wiped the string of tears from his cheek.
Kane replayed the scene over and over in his mind. But
there was something he was forgetting. Something his Mother said to him. He strained to remember the last words his Mother
spoke to him
“Kane my dear. Listen to me closely. Something is
going to happen that I’m not able to prevent.” Kane’s mother’s voice softly flowed into his mind.
“Yes, Mother. I remember that part. But there was
something else you said to me.” Kane growled in frustration. He flet it was very important he remembered. Because he
had the fainting feeling it had to do with what is going on with Marcus now.
Marcus fell Kane’s mind bending to recall what his
mother had told him. Something of this day. When his Aunt’s spell would lead him over into this land, to be consumed
by her hatred.
Kane, my brother. Mother connected us before she died.
She knew of this day. She had known when Aunt Moran entered the castle she was out to destroy us. The counter spell. What
do you remember of the counter spell?
Kane struggled to remember something his mother said. He
paced back and forth. But whatever it was, he had blocked it. He looked up to the sky. It was getting cloudy once again. Marcus
was on the move. He mounted his horse. He had wasted to much time.
No! No! Kane you have to remember. What was the counter
spell?
No my dear Marcus. Do not try to influence your brother
to remember. Whether he remembers or not. You will not be able to connect with him at that time.
Because I have blocked it from you. You won’t be
using it. For you to know, would be for HIM to know. A voice cut throw Marcus’ thoughts.
Marcus fell to the ground, in so much pain. What was this?
Voices conversing in his head. He almost connected to his brother, when another voice surface.
“ENOUGH!” He screamed. CRACKLE! ROAR! The lightening
and thunder began to put on a show.
Kane pulled the horses’ rein, looking to the lightening
flashing like crazy. The thunder shook the earth.
The Dred leader and his people had formed a circle, holding
hands and praying for what’s to come.
Allyia’s horse stopped short and bucked to the lights
brightening the skies and the rumbling of the earth. She turned the horse and could just see in the distance the people bravely
sitting and waiting. She thought for a moment. Then her courage took over the fear the Leader had put in her heart. She brought
the horse to full gallop as she raced back to the Dreds.
The Shaman looked in her direction, feeling what was in
her heart. She was not one to abandon those she cared about. The Leader look in the direction the Shaman’s eyes fell.
His heart jumped, he had failed to save her. He watched as her tiny image grew larger with the diminishing space between them.
Without warning, something happened to cause him to spring
to his feet. He watched as the ground split open, before her. Her horse reared backwards, falling on his side. Sending her
to the ground, almost pinned beneath him. Slowly smoke emanated from the opening. And out of the pit came HIM.
The Beast.
Chapter Twelve
Marcus rose from the pit, as the smoke shroud him. The
man Allyia had fell in love with, was no more. He touched down on the other side of the pit, where she laid on the ground,
stunned motionless. Slowly he walked towards. She began to back paddled. Then turned quickly onto her hands and knees, trying
to crawl away from him.
She was just able to make it to her and run. But it was
all for naught. With one movement, his arm had snaked around her waist, scooping her up. He turned to look at the Dreds, as
they watched with fear they would be next to feel his wrath.
But instead, his mouth formed into a devious smile. Then
he let out a loud laughter and vanished as quickly as he had came. The clouds fled away. The thunder ceased rumbling, as the
lightening speared the ground no more. All grew silent. Marcus had what he wanted.
Kane brought the horse to a standstill. His eyes watched
the sky clear as fast as it had grew cloudy. Something was wrong. He rode the horse hard, in search of Allyia and the Dreds.
He came upon the place the village once stood.
He hurried along, following the tracks left be the fleeing
villagers. Then in the distance, he could see the tiny figures moving about. They quickly grew closer as his horse raced across
the desert. His eyes met that of the Leader. He move towards Kane leaving his people busy continuing their journey to safety.
“Where is she?” Kane yelled, jumping from the
horse before it stopped. The Leader could see this one was not to be anger as his brother.
“Whoa, Magic one. She was taken by the other.”
The Leader informed Kane, slowly putting some distance between them.
“How do I know you didn’t kill her. Your people
are known to be killers.” Kane began to stalk him.
“No we aren’t. It’s a myth we have been
giving for years. We are no different from anyone else. We only protect our own.” The Leader continue to stay as far
away from Kane as possible.
“Really? Your young bucks came after us without a
thought. Where did they get that idea?” Kane eyes glared.
“They’re young. But you believe whatever you
want. I can’t stop you. But know this. I sent her away for her safety. I knew we were doomed. The women and children
couldn’t move any faster.” Kane looked passed him and to the Dreds as they slowly began to move onwards. Kane’s
heart felt for the leader. How would he feel, if his people were in danger and there was not a damn thing he could do about
it?
“She wouldn’t leave would she?” Kane
looked passed the villager.
“Not at first. I threaten to kill her. And even then,
when she saw we were in trouble, she rode back to be with us. That’s when he came from nowhere and took her.”
The voice of the Leader grew sad. Kane caught that. He knew then the tales about the Dreds were exaggerated.
“The one who holds the key to ALL of this. Has ventured
amongst us. You are coming into your strength. You are remembering. But be careful. The other is trying to infiltrate your
mind. He doesn’t know it. But if he does, he will destroy you both.” The Shaman spoke as he came near to the two
Leaders.
Chapter Thirteen
Allyia felt as if she were floating in air. The dark was
dense and cold. It swam about her. She couldn’t feel herself touching the ground, as she moved through the darkness.
“A-lli-ya!” The voice touched her ear. She
turned in the direction in which it came.
“A-lli-ya!” This time it seemed to be a little
nearer. She moved backwards. What was this place?
“A-ll-ya!” This time it was behind her. She
turned once again.
“Who.....who are you?” She asked, finally gathering
her senses.
“Why my dear Allyia. Don’t you know me? Your
beloved Marcus!” His hot breath warmed her neck. She snapped her head around to see the beast who had taken over Marcus’
body. She covered her mouth with her hand, unable to utter a word.
“Ahahaha!” He moved towards her swiftly, pulling
her into his dark soul.
“Noooooo!” She screamed, sitting straight up.
She was in a strange bed. In a stranger room. It had only been a bad dream. But the reality didn’t fair any better.
Then he memory flooded her mind like a monsoon.
“Where am I? Wait! Now I remember. Marcus took me
away. I passed out. But this isn’t any place I know.” She slowly removed the satin black sheets from her body.
The room was of black decor.
“Whoever lives here is really in need of an decorator.”
She whispered to herself as she gazed around the room, taking it all in. She left the bed and slowly walked through the room,
looking and touching various unusual objects.
“Hmmm! They have a taste for the abnormal. That’s
one thing I can say.” She walked over to the balcony door. Thinking maybe she could call out to someone. Only to be
shocked by what she saw.
It was desolate everywhere. No animals or people. The countryside
was without greenery. It was a dead place. She could see guards posted at the gates. And they looked like gargoyles.
“Where am I?” She whispered to herself.
“Welcome my Dark Bride. Behold our new kingdom.”
Marcus stood behind her. She stepped back. She wanted to be his bride. But not while he was in this state of mind. It would
be like betrayal.
“No Marcus. Not until you have dealt with what is
troubling you.” She was trying to see if she could penetrate his defenses.
“There’s nothing to deal with, my dear. I’m
just fine. Never felt better in my life.” He walked towards her. His eyes were dark and void. Her heart skipped. Her
Marcus was gone. How was she going to save him?
“Marcus! You’re not fine. You’re in some
castle that doesn’t belong to you. You’ve kidnapped me. Now you’re talking about ruling over some place
that isn’t yours. What about Kane and your real home?” She watched his stutter a step. Then pause, as if pondering.
“Oh I see. You’re having wedding day jitters.
Not to worry my beautiful Allyia. I have arranged everything. And my brother Kane and your new found friends will be attending.
We marry at dawn.” Marcus announced this without any emotions.
“No! No! No! I will not!” She screamed at him.
He looked over to her, as an smile etched across his face.
“I think you will my dear. I have something that
is very dear to you. If you don’t, he will die.” His eyes were deep with evil. She gasped. What could he have
other than Marcus? Her question was swiftly answered.
“Allyia My Daughter. Are you alright?” Her
father was shoved into the room, falling to his feet. The tears quickly filled her eyes as she ran to gather her weaken father
in her arms. How cruel had he become.
“I’ll leave you to rethink your decision. I
always get what I want. One way or another.” He glided pass the two and out the door. Leaving them to listen to the
evil laughter, that trailed behind him. As he moved through the corridors.
Chapter Fourteen
“What are you talking about?” Kane stared hard
and long at the Witch Doctor standing before him.
“Your powers will soon equal those of your brother’s.
yet yours is for the good I sense.” He walked pass Kane and took a seat on the ground, crossing his legs. Then closing
his eyes. He began to chant.
Kane somehow understood everything he was saying. Something
within him made him go sit across from the Shaman and listen to what he was saying. Then the Shaman open his eyes and looked
into those of Kane’s. Suddenly a sharp pain exploded inside of Kane’s head, causing him to move into the fetal
position and grasping his head.
“Stop! What are you doing to him?” Yelled the
Leader of the Dreds. The Shaman never acknowledged him. He continued with the chanting.
“You’re killing him. I said stop! Immediately!”
The Leader approached the Shaman. His eyes went to the Leader. He buckled under from the pain in his own head.
“Now listen the both of you. You will listen to me
and me alone. The lives of the world depends on it.” His voice echoed through their heads. They both nodded unwillingly.
Neither wanted to be controlled unknowing why the were.
“Trust me!” Is the only thing either heard
within their heads.
“Allyia my daughter. Forgive for not being able to
protect you. If only the surprise had gone as planned.” He laid weak on her bed. She patted his forehead with a damped
cloth.
“Surprise! What surprise?” She paused. Jared
looked into his daughter’s eyes. Gathering the strength to reveal to her concerning the planned engagement arrangement
between Kane and himself.
“Please do not be angry with me.” Jared breathed
heavily. Allyia felt something in the pit of her stomach. ‘Do not be angry’ lingered.
“No! No Father. I’m listening.” Allyia
reassured her father. Or herself.
“Kane and I arranged for the engagement to the nobleman
before you were kidnapped.” Jared told her, taking a deeper breath. Allyia’s eyebrows raised.
“I don’t understand Father. Why would Kane
be in on making my engagement to an..............” She never finished as her hands quickly covered her mouth. Her eyes
grew as large as an deer’s. Jared reached out to touch her. But she had slowly backed away, trying to filter out all
that was running through her mind.
“Allyia! Please daughter!” Jared’s voice
barely above a whisper. Allyia turned and began to walk away. Heading for the balcony. Thinking maybe some fresh air would
awaken her from this never ending nightmare. It didn’t. It just enforced more of the reality of it all.
Marcus was the nobleman she was to marry. All this time,
she was thinking she was being unfaithful to one man for loving another. When all the while. They were one in the same. Marcus
was always hers.
“Forgive me daughter, for loving you so much. That
I dared to give you the one thing you so desired.” Jared voice flowed from the room behind her.
‘Dared to give you the one thing you so desired.’
He knew how much I wanted Marcus. The Dark Lord? She thought. She shook her head. She looked up into the starless sky. It
was pitch black. The night was quiet. Nothing stirred but the guards.
“How were you to know I would be kidnapped? Spoiling
the biggest surprise of my life. But then, afterwards. Neither of you told us. I don’t know Father. Maybe with everything
going on, there never was a right time. I forgive you. All that you have done, was to make me happy. For that I can only Love
you the more.” Allyia spoke looking out over the darkness. Then she turned and headed back into the room, speaking the
last sentence as she walked over to her Father.
“Father? Father?” She touched him. But he had
passed on to the other side. His expression was one of content.
“F-A-T-H-E-R!!!!” Marcus walked away from the
room. He had heard of the betroth Jared and Kane had made between Allyia and himself. He stopped when he heard her outcry.
He felt Jared’s spirit leave this plane.
“Allyia my soon to be Dark Bride will be needing
some comforting. Now that her Father is gone.” Marcus chuckled as he continued on to his chambers.
“JARED! NO!” Kane jumped to his feet.
“He’s gone.” The Shaman reinforced Kane’s
fears. Yes. His powers were growing.
Chapter Fifteen
Kane grieved the lost of his dearest friend Jared. No!
He was more than an friend. He was like the father he had lost. And now he’s gone. My brother will pay dearly for this.
And I will keep my promise to Jared. Allyia will be safely returned. Kane thought to himself.
“There is no time to grieve. You must harness the
newfound powers you are experiencing.” The Shaman had come up unnoticed by Kane.
“And how do you figure on me doing this?” Kane
snapped, irritated with the intrusion on his private moment.
“There is an ritual taught to me by the old Shaman.
He kinda knew this day would come. We were prepared. Come with me. We mustn’t hesitate any longer.” The Shaman
explained to Kane and began to move away. Kane stood in his tracks tilting his head form side to side.
“I don’t understand. How did He know this would
happen?” Kane needed to know more. All of this connected to the day his Mother died and why.
“We saw it in the stars, many years ago when the
power shifted.” He stopped then turn to face Kane.
“When my Mother gave her energy to Marcus.”
Kane eyes met the ground, fearing he would began to tear.
“No! When your Mother pass her powers on to you.
Why do you think she died?” Kane’s head jerked up to look at the Shaman. What did he mean? His Mother didn’t
go until after she touched Marcus.
“No! You’re wrong. I was there. I saw it ALL.
She held Marcus in her arms. The became aglow. Her faded as his grew stronger. Then she died.” Kane became agitated.
His voice growing in volume.
“Yes. She died after giving your brother only her
life force. Not her powers. Those she passed on to you. Which left her vulnerable to her demise. If she hadn’t given
you those powers. She could have saved your brother. And lived.” The Shaman spoke softly as if to calm the angered giant.
“Why did she do it?” Kane was quiet as he thought
about all that was just told him. An the memories of that day so vivid.
“She knew it was the only way to counteract what
is going on now.” The Shaman informed Kane.
“She knew what my Aunt was preparing to do? Why didn’t
my Father and her get rid of the old witch?” Kane was more confused. Clearly their father could have done his sister
in.
“No! Your father was forbidden, as well as his sister.
To harm each other. And your Mother’s powers alone could not defeat her.” Kane took a seat on a rock, listening
to all the Shaman had to say.
“So she did what she did best. Protected us.”
Kane inhale deeply, before allowing the gust of air to escape his body. It had an relaxing effect on his body.
“She did more than that. She endowed you with her
powers. And they will help you set your brother free.” The Shaman reminded Kane.
“My mother was always a step ahead of the game.”
Kane felt his heart warm from the thought of her.
“She was an wise and powerful Sorceress. She learned
well from my Master.” The Shaman said this, turning away from Kane and began to walk away. Beckoning for him to follow.
Kane was stunned speechless.
Chapter Sixteen
Allyia set propped up on her huge fluffed pillows. She
hadn’t stopped crying since her fathers death. She had been an handful when the guards came to retrieve his body upon
Marcus’ command. She fought them literally tooth and nail.
But soon a couple were able to subdue her, while the others
removed the body. She felt this was all her fault. If she hadn’t been so determined to save Marcus. They would have
been back at the castle and he would have received the medical attention he needed. And wouldn’t have come after her
in his weaken state.
Why didn’t Marcus had his men take him back instead
of capturing him? Her sorrow was more than she could bare. He had been her only parent for such a long time. Now they‘re
both lost to her forever. And what about the kingdom? She is officially the ruler now.
No! So much to take on right now. You have to pull yourself
together Allyia. You must get out of here. Your people depend on you now. The voice sift through her mind. And the only way
to do that is to destroy Marcus. He will never allow you to leave without an fight.
“I have Loved him for so long. Risked and lost so
much to save him. Now I wonder if its worth it.” Allyia whispered to herself. Yes, can you ever forgive him knowing
he is the reason your father died? The voice played on her emotions. Allyia renewed her weeping.
“Hmmm!” The Shaman stopped walking and turned
his head as if listening for something.
“What is it?” Kane asked looking around.
“Nothing. We must prepare you quickly. Not much time.”
Is all he would reveal before continuing on his way.
After entering the new camp of the Dreds. The Shaman walked
pass the center and onto the other side of the camp. They arrived at a pit filled with steam. They moved down a makeshift
ladder. The steam was fused by hot rocks, as water was poured onto them. The fire never went out. Kane thought this interesting.
“Sit my friend. We will soon began your journey.
It will be an dangerous one if you don’t call on your courage. Do you think you’re able to do this?” The
Shaman warned Kane of the danger and gave him an way out.
“We’ll continue with whatever I have to do
to get my brother back.” Kane said firmly. The Shaman smiled and nodded his head. The Leader of the Dreds joined the
Shaman, Kane and elders in a circle. The Shaman presented a long pipe. He pulled out an small bag and dug is fingers in it,
bringing out some type of plant. he stuffed into the pipe and leaned it over the fire and took a puff.
Kane watched this with some reservations. He had never
seen anything like this in his life. The Shaman then passed the pipe to the Leader who repeated what the Shaman had done.
Then it was passed from one elder to another until it came to Kane. He looked at the pipe then around the room to each who
had smoked this strange object. He then cast his eyes on the Shaman who was now humming low. Which was slowly being joined
by the room.
“You must take of the medicine to help you on your
journey. Are you will not be able to see everything you will need to know to help you in your quest.” The Shaman’s
eyes were closed as he went into a deep meditation. Kane hesitated for a few moments as he once again looked around the room
at the men. They ALL had their eyes closed and humming, as they rocked back in forth.
Finally, reluctantly but feeling if this will help get
his brother back he took a long swig of the pipe. Boy, what an rush.
Chapter Seventeen
Kane drew on the pipe, sending the contents into his lungs.
His chest began to burn like fire. He tried to exhale the smoke. But it had absorbed into his system.
His head grew lighter. The room was spinning and turning.
He looked from one person to the other sitting in the pit. All eyes were on him. The Shaman was on his feet dancing in place
and chanting something.
Kane tried to stand to his feet, but just quickly fell
back to the ground. Everything was slowly becoming incoherent. The room was fading and the voices seem to be drifting away.
He could feel himself leaving the pit. Up throw the opening.
Everyone and thing grew smaller and smaller as he went
airborne. Flying higher and higher above the earth. But definitely heading to a place unknown to him.
Marcus decided to pay Allyia a visit. To console her in
her time of bereavement. He lightly knocked on her door. She didn’t answer. He quietly opened the door and peeked in.
She was seemingly asleep.
He moved silently over to her bed and gazed upon the beautiful
woman who had captured his heart. He wanted her badly. He gently touched her cheek with the back of his hand. Her eyes instantly
flew opened.
She looked up into the eyes of Marcus. She jumped up and
paddled backwards into the headboard. She panicked with seeing him in her room standing over her. Her Marcus would have never
done so.
“Allyia! Do not be afraid. I would never do anything
to hurt.” He said, trying to calm her.
“You have hurt me more than you know. You allow my
father to die, instead of letting him get the much needed medical help.” She said in a cold low voice.
“No, no! My men found him wandering in the desert.
He must have came over looking for you and got lost. I told him he needed to go back and get the help he needed. He told me
no. He wanted you. What was I to do? It was clear he was dying. He wanted to see you before it happened.” Marcus walked
pass the bed and came to stand in the doorway of the balcony.
Alllyia listen to all he had to say. Not sure if she should
believe him or not. After all he has turned evil. He could be using her father’s death as an tool to get to her. Yes,
don’t believe him. He knows how much your father care. He will do anything to get you. The voice once again flowed through
her mind.
“Stop!” She yelled. This was too much for her
to contain. Marcus jerked his head in her direction. He stared at her long and hard.
“I will leave you. It seems I have hurt you more
than help. I have told you the truth. Why would I lie?” He said turning fully around to face her. She looked at him
puzzled to why he was addressing her.
“What?” She was holding her head. Staring at
him.
“You asked me to stop. So I will leave you to morn.”
Marcus began to walk pass the bed and out the room. He felt an hand grab his arm.
“Wait Marcus. I wasn’t talking to you. I was
talking to......never mind. Just don’t leave me here along. I’m so afraid of being alone.” She said, looking
up pleadingly into his eyes. Marcus smiled in his heart over this small triumph.
“No Princess. I have no plans of ever leaving you.”
He took a seat on her bed and gather her into his lap. Encircling his arms around her, comforting her. Allyia slowly drifted
off to sleep. Listening to the rhythm of his heartbeat.
Chapter Eighteen
Kane found himself landing inside a dark garden. Everything
was dead. He looked up at the great edifice before him. Something was very familiar about this place. But he wasn’t
able to figure it out. He walked out of the garden, to the double glass doors. He opened them and entered. Yes, there was
something about this place.
He heard someone coming and darted behind a huge curtain.
It was the sentry making their rounds, to assure everything was safe. There was something weird about these guards. They were
huge, inhuman. He didn’t want to get into an hassle with them.
He made sure they weren’t anywhere close by as he
listen to their fading clump of their feet. The he left the safety of the curtains and moved through the corridors until he
cam upon the stairs. He surveyed the area, making sure no one was about. He slowly ascended, taking very quiet steps.
“You are here, good. This is where you will die.
Along with your brother.” The wind brushed pass him, leaving its message of doom.
Kane momentarily looked around. Seeking whom the voice
emanated. No one in sight. Started up the stairs. He had nearly reached the top, still sensing a familiarity of this place.
Then his eyes fell on the figure at the top.
“Aunt Moran!”
Marcus slowly and gently stood to his feet to lay Allyia
on the bed. After he deposited her, he went to cover her. She feeling his arms vacant from her, woke immediately.
“Marcus! Don’t leave me alone!” She sat
up in the bed with out stretched arms. He quickly came to her side, wrapping his strong arms around the tiny shoulders.
“Shhh! I’m not going anywhere. I promise. I’m
just trying to make you comfortable.” He said caressing her arms with is large hand.
“Okay! Just don’t leave me. Everyone leaves
me. My mother and father.” She said this with so much grief in her voice. If he had an heart it would have broken for
her.
“Just lie down and get some rest Allyia. It will
be a long day for you tomorrow.” He attempted to lay her back, but she sprung up like an jack in the box.
“You need to rest. Look at you. You’re whimpering
like a little child. Not the new Head of her country.” Marcus was growing in patient.
“I know. Once again I have the privilege of burying
someone close to my heart. I have loss everyone that matters to me. Even YOU!” She looked up into the strange eyes that
once housed her beloved Marcus. He looked away from her, fearing she would see the beast he had become. Or had he?
The Marcus she loved took over. Unable to bare her suffering
of loss any longer. He turned to her, gazing into her beautiful dark eyes sorrowful eyes. He took her into his arms and longed
for her sweet wet lips.
He could not contain the feelings taking over his body.
His mouth captured her lips. She surrendered into his embrace. At last the two hearts reunited.
Chapter Nineteen
The forces were at work on this night. The distance flashes
of lightening and the rumbling of thunder, signaled the issuing of the Battle between Good and Evil. Life and Death. Love
and Hate. Which one will prevail, as morning Sun rises?
Kane stood in complete shock. The one he thought had been
killed many years ago. Stood in front of him, apparently alive. Or was she? Never in his worst nightmare, did he ever thought
he would come face to face with her once again.
She had brought on so much pain to his family. Causing
his mother’s death and not long afterwards, his father’s. Unable to bear the fact, he had allow his sister into
their home. He took full responsibility for everything that had happened. He felt he should have banished his sister, than
allow her to reek havoc on his family.
“Kane?!!” Her shrilled voice cut into his ear.
Her facial expression revealed the bewilderedness she was experiencing. He came out of his thoughts. Glaring at his Aunt.
“Aunt Moran! I thought you were dead.” Kane’s
voice conveyed the disbelief of her survival. And the hatred he held for her.
“You can see me?” She asked him, shifting on
one leg from the other. Kane looked at her more confused than ever. Of course he could see her. What new game is she trying
to pull now?
“Yes! I see you standing there larger than life.
Even though I can’t figure out how. And why wouldn’t I? Unless you are DEAD!” That last sentence resounded
throughout the corridors.
Marcus slowly removed his mouth from Allyia’s. He
stared into her beautiful hungry eyes. He had not wanted this to be this way. But he didn’t have the power to resist
what was before him. In the back of his head, the evil Marcus lurked. He had no idea how long he would be able to resist him.
In response to his battle within, he reclaimed her lips.
His tongue moving pass them, into the warm moist sweet orifice. He explored the soft lining inside her mouth. She moaned from
the sensation coursing through her body. His tongue traveled to the entrance of her throat. Then dove in. Her body made a
quivering movement.
Allyia’s hand gently moved over his thick thighs,
just inches from his manhood. Marcus deepened the kiss, his hand responding by cuffing one of her firm breast. She groaned.
Strange thing about the atmosphere. People don’t
believe this, but it answers to human emotions. Whatever they maybe. But when these forces are about to collide, it leaves
the atmosphere no choice.
The clouds grew thick and dark in the sky. The lightening
flashing grew more frequent and intense, touching the earth with each strike. The thunder began to roar louder and louder,
shaking the foundation of the earth. The emotions were running high. The Dreds remained steadfast in the pit, assisting Kane
in his quest. The Shaman was in a deep trance, murmuring some ancient language.
“DEAD? Ha ha ha! You speak of me being dead. If you
are in this God forsaken place, my dear Nephew. Then what does that say for you?!” She spat at him, her eyes glowing
a fierce red.
Kane tilted his head to the side, trying to surf through
this information. He took a good look around. Closing his eyes, to get the feel of this place. His senses revealed something.
Then he knew. He was in another realm. The Astral world. The Netherland. That place between life and death. This is the place
his mother sent his Aunt. And this is where he was sent by the Shaman.
Suddenly, something flashed through his mind. It traveled
back to a place in time. He was a little boy again. Lying on the ground, just after being zapped by his aunt. His mother hovered
over him. She was sad, yet focus. He remembered the words she spoke to him.
“Listen my brave little man. I don’t have much
time. I have for seen what your Aunt had done to your brother and what she will try to do to you. But I set a spell on you.
One that will counteract what will come to pass on your brother. You won’t remember this, until the day you face the
evil. Then you will have the power of Love, to end this.”
“Yes, mother. I do remember what you whispered in
my ears so many years pass.” Kane said this and glared into the eyes of the evilness called Moran.
“Hmmmm! Talking to the dead? Sorry, but she isn’t
here. Why do you look at me?.........Wait! No! They can not!” She screamed. Kane braced himself from her outburst. What
is she talking about? Who is they? She went to move down a corridor, but Kane stopped her.
“You are not going anywhere. We have some unfinished
business.” He moved up the stairs. She turned to look at him coming towards her. She realized he was an hinderance that
needed to be dealt with swiftly. If she had any hope of succeeding in her plans.
“I suggest you don’t come near me. Or I will
finish what I started when you were a little snotty nose brat.” She pulled back and hissed at Kane.
“Sorry! No can do. It’s you and me now, Auntie.”
Kane continue to stalked towards her.
“You fool! You need to mind your business. You will
ruin everything. Noooo! This must not be done. The wrong one is with her.” Her voice trailed off as the lightening and
thunder ruled the night.
“I love you Marcus. No matter who you are. You are
my life and breath.” Allyia laid her head over his heart, to hear the soft beat.
“You are my safe place, Allyia. My rescue. And together
we will get through this.” Marcus said this as an promise. He moved from the bed and began disrobed.
Allyia’s eyes lighted up with he stood there fully
exposed and evidence of their foreplay stood at full attention. She covered her eyes shyly. He allowed a small chuckle escape,
as he moved towards the bed. She looked up into his eyes once more and lifted her arms to gather him to her. He slid into
her delicate arms, secured., as he moved back into the bed.
He kissed her lightly as he removed her top. His hand caressed
the soft mounds and playing with the tips. Sending electricity through her body. He bent down and kissed the nipples, taking
them between his lips. He nibbled on one, lightly suck on it. Feeling his arousal, he began a strong suction. Allyia called
out.
“Noooooo! Leave me alone, you imbecile. Or you will
feel my wrath.” Moran screamed at Kane.
“Feel your wrath huh? Where is it you have the need
to go. And who are they? And what is it they must not do?” Kane inquired. Moran let out a low growl.
Marcus moved his hand downward, removing her bottoms. Allyia
assisted with her disrobing. He rose over her like the shadow of night. And began to slowly kiss his way down her body, to
his destination. The dark bush that protected the sweet treasure of his desire. His body grew harder as the tantalizing ardor
filled is nostrils.
“Mmmmm! Sweet Allyia!” The evil Marcus reared
his evil head.
“Oh no!” Allyia looked into the eyes which
held her so tenderly. Into the lusty eyes which looked down upon her, as if she was prey.
Part Twenty
“Oh no!” Allyia looked into the eyes which
held her so tenderly. Into the lusty eyes which looked down upon her, as if she was prey. The evil Marcus had reared his evil
head.
“Yes! Just as I thought. Your Marcus did well. I
allowed him to think he had won. Just enough to get you to open up to him. And as I can see, you did open up to him.”
His voice was creepy and slimy. He lowered himself down on her, sniffing her like a dog in heat. Allyia tried to squirm from
beneath him with to no avail. She decided to stop fighting what was going to happen. She gave up, for a moment.
“Yesssss! That’s it. Do what you must do. Then
I will have the revenge I so sought for these many years.” She screamed out. Kane looked around to see if anyone else
were near, trying to figure out who she was talking to. Then she turned her evilness to Kane.
“Your mother banished me here to this barren land.
I have walked here, planning and seeing my plan take action. Using those weak minded pawns. Even though I didn’t quite
planned on Marcus to fall in love. I thought I had his heart.” She crossed her arms, and began to rub her chin, pondering.
Something had happened that wasn’t part of this elaborate scheme of vengeance.
“What are you talking about? Whatever happened to
you wasn’t enough for the HELL you put my family through. So now here we are Auntie. Let’s finished it.”
Kane started towards her, tired of this insanity. She came out of her thoughts. Too bad are else she would have figured out
something that was nagging in the back of her head.
“As you wish my dear Nephew! Your mother wasn’t
any match for me, what makes you so sure you are?” Moran taunted Kane, moving into position to attack.
“Marcus! Please!” Allyia begged. Marcus was
tasting of her sweet juices that had begun to seep through. They were intoxicating to him. He was losing ALL senses as he
began to lick and suck on her erected member.
“Tell me you are not enjoying what I am doing to
you. And I will stop!” He lied.
“I-I-I CAN’T!” As much as she hated feeling
anything for this monster who had replaced her Marcus. It was still the hands of her love. It was still the mouth giving her
such pleasure she had never known before. Somewhere in ALL of this. Her Marcus was still there, touching her. Or she would
not be feeling what she was feeling.
“Just as I thought.” He growled and resume
tasting licking and intensifying the suction on her member. Allyia screamed out in pleasure, calling his name. He smiled,
satisfied he was pleasing her.
“Damn! There is something I missed. I know. He shouldn’t.......!”
She didn’t finish as Kane lounged towards her. In one spit second she was able to recover from her distraction enough
to move to the side. Causing Kane to fly pass her. But just as quick as she was, so was his reflexes. He turned in mid air
and came back on her.
She tried to move to the side, but this time she wasn’t
fast enough. Kane plowed into her, sending her backwards and down the stairs. With Kane rolling down with her.
Marcus continue the assault, until she couldn’t take
it anymore. She came with the rush of an over flowed dam bursting through. Her body went into spasms. Marcus drank of her
fluids, overcome by them. Her body slowly calmed as he licked her dry. He rose from her, allowing her to curl up into the
fetal position.
He smiled watching her and a little overwhelmed. It was
as if he had drank a keg of beer. Something was wrong here. He thought once he had tasted of her he would have the feeling
of victory. But instead, he was feeling that of surrender. What kind of sorcery was this?
Kane and Moran hit the last step and rolled over an over
until the came to a stop on the main floor. Kane was the first to his feet. He came towards Moran. She laid as still as an
rock. Just as Kane was upon her, she quickly rose to her feet and flew backwards from his reach.
“You were an pain those many years ago. Sticking
your nose where it didn’t belong. Now here you are once again, interfering.” She said calmly, preparing to attack.
“When it comes to my family. They are always my concern.
I didn’t quite get it at first. But now I’m figuring it All out. Marcus is somewhere in this building isn’t
he? The one you created. And he has Allyia.” Kane was trying tot stall her.
He senses something is going on with his brother and Allyia.
Moran did say she didn’t count on Marcus’ love for Allyia. Moran was upset by something. But what? Maybe Allyia
is getting through to him. Somehow he has to keep her off balance. And hope Allyia is able to release his brother from the
hold of the evil side of him.
Moran wasn’t paying much attention to Kane. Her mind
was back in the room where Marcus had Allyia. Something strange was developing there. Only if she could get up there. But
Kane was just as powerful if not more powerful than her in this realm. He was given some powerful mojo. And probably he is
getting help from someone on the other side. But who?
“Shaman! How are things coming along?” The
voice flowed through the Shaman’s mind. He looked to the fog as it parted, exposing the beautiful woman.
“Just as you had planned.” He responded, then
went back to watching the events unfolding.
“Good! It won’t belong.” She said and
moved back into the fog.
Chapter Twenty-One
Allyia laid in an heap. She dare not move, afraid she would
stir Marcus. No, not Marcus. His dark side. Her body was still simmering from the after glow. Her body had betrayed her. She
shouldn’t be feeling the way she did. This wasn’t right. It should be her Marcus extracting these emotions. Not
this evil monster occupying her love’s body. She was feeling a sense of shame.
The bed move at her feet. Then up behind her, dipping.
She shuddered as she felt his hand gently touch her arm. What is he going to do now? His flipped her over onto her back. Staring
into her fearful eyes. Somewhere in the back of his chest, ache formed. Could it be, this was a mistake? Surly taking her
would only give him greater power. But what power? She began to cry.
“I’m just beginning to realize something, Nephew.
What are you doing here, besides being an pain?” Moran settled back on the floor and began to pace back and forth in
front of Kane. He tilted his head as he does when he’s trying to figure things out. Good question. What was his purpose
for being there.
“I was sent here to help my brother.” Kane
said the first thing that came to his mine. He didn’t want to let her know, he had no idea why he was there. other than
to aide his brother.
“Sent? By who and how?” She was growing more
curious to who had enough power to sent someone from the world of the living and have the power to return them.
“Don’t worry about who and how. Just know that
I am here. And it has something to do with you, as well as my brother.” Kane was trying of the third degree. He knew
she was only baiting him for information so she would know how she could battle him.
“I see you have grown wiser. It doesn’t matter
who sent you and how. I will have my revenge nevertheless. Right now in the other realm, your brother is about to make love
to the very Virgin Princess Allyia. They will conceive in that union. Then that will be my way out of here.” She began
to laugh loudly, like a demented witch. True to form.
“What the hell are you talking about?” Kane
yelled, interrupting her laughter.
“Just when I gave you the benefit of the doubt, for
being a bright boy. What do you? Open your mouth and prove me wrong. You do know what making love is ALL about or should I
give you a quick lesson on the birds and the bees?” Moran said to Kane with an half smile and small chuckle. She was
once again taunting him.
“I don’t need you to teach me a damn thing.
I fully aware of what making love is ALL about, seeing as I have had the wonderful pleasure of experiencing it myself. Can
you say the same?” Kane with an even better come back.
“I hate you!” She screamed. Kane’s words
like an sledgehammer, hitting her below the belt. No she had never had anyone make love to her. How could she, when she never
had any love to give. Men were like pawns in her hand as she slept her way to wherever she so desired. Only to see it explode
I her face. This is why she was back at the Castle. This is why she hated the happiness her brother had found. And this is
why she sought out to destroy that happiness. For the moment, it seems she had succeed.
“Marcus no! Please. It wasn’t suppose to be
this way. We were going to be married and the share ourselves on our wedding night.” Allyia pleaded as he began to kiss
her neck and move downwards, caressing her breast, softly.
“Oh! You didn’t know? This is OUR wedding night.
And this here, is the wedding ceremony. We are binding ourselves together. Our bodies joining together as one. This is the
ancient tradition man had forgotten, before all this new fanfare of weddings.” Marcus looked up to, heavily breathing.
He was like a dog in heat. Nothing else matter than to enter her.
“What? What are you talking about, ancient tradition.
I have never heard of this ever in my life.” She cried, trying to reason with him.
“I said it was ancient and forgotten. Didn’t
I?” Marcus enter her with his index finger, causing her to jump in surprise.
Chapter Twenty-Two
Kane watched Moran with great intensity. She was very quiet
for some reason. Her eyes closed as she leaned on the banister at the bottom of the staircase. She had a smile on her face.
Kane looked up the stairs. Marcus was up there somewhere. And he had Allyia.
He allowed his senses to roam the castle, seeking out his
brother’s whereabouts. Suddenly, he was thrown backwards, sliding into the wall with a huge thump.
“Gotcha!” Moran yelled. Laughing like an hyena.
Kane instantly jumped to his feet, bracing himself for another mind jolt.
“Did you not think I would feel your mind trying
to locate your brother? Whether you or whoever it is that is assisting you may think. This night I will have my revenge. Yes,
yes! It is beginning.” She smiled and turned her face to the top of the stairs. Feeling the passion flowing from the
room.
Marcus looked into her eyes. Trying to reassure her, everything
will be just fine. But Allyia closed her eyes to him. Not allowing him to take part of her essence.
“You can have this body and do whatever so you wish.
I’m not powerful enough to stop you. But my heart, mind and soul. You will never have.” She said this without
any feelings. He had chased them away.
First it felt like a knife ripping him apart. Then his
anger for her overtook what soften feelings he was experiencing. He would have her. And have her he will. If she wasn’t
willing to give of herself freely. Than the assault he was going to lay on her body will have to do.
He stuck his middle finger into her as hard as he could.
She let out a small yelp. Wishing this will all soon be over. He pumped it in and out her, toying with her small member, kissing
and licking her body. Knowing no matter what she made say. She had no control over what her body was experiencing under his
touch.
“Dear Allyia! Do not resist him. You are the only
one who can save him now.” The voice flowed through her mind. Allyia opened her eyes, looking around the room to see
if there were another presence. No one. Marcus stared at her, continuing his probing.
“What’s wrong? Change of heart?” He said
laughing and went back to concentrating on the task at hand.
“I’m not out there my Dear. I’m in your
thoughts. Do not resist his Love. Together your love for each other will win out.” The voice once again invaded her
mind.
“Who are you?” Allyia asked mentally, not wanting
to sound like a lunatic to Marcus.
“I am here to help you all.” The voice answered.
Allyia thought for sometime, wandering if she was talking to someone or was she losing it after all.
“No Allyia. You’re not losing it. You’re
too strong for that. This is why I chose you. I knew you would be the one to get him through this day.” The voice told
her. Allyia came back to reality for a moment as Marcus was inputting two fingers. She was very moist from his activities.
Damn body. She thought.
“Wait!” She called to him. He stopped and stared
at her.
“What?” Is all he would say.
“Let me catch my breath for a moment.” She
pulled herself up into a sitting position. Marcus laid on the bed propping himself up on his arm. Allyia looked at him, then
away trying to stall him as she tried to figure out what was going on.
“Okay. I’ll give you a few. I’m patient.
We have ALL night and day for that matter. He rowed over unto his back staring up into the ceiling.
“Very good dear Allyia. Now listen. Because he won’t
give you as much time as he has stated. Someone will sent an urge for him to take you quickly. So I need you to reverse things
on him.” The voice began to explain to her.
“What?” Allyia thought.
“Take him!” The voice said to her. Allyia looked
over at the huge man lying in front of her and chuckled at the thought implanted in her mind.
“Yes, I know now I am losing it. I just told myself
to rape this giant. Yeah right. Just to humor myself, how am I to pull this off? He would stop me before I came near him.”
Allyia informed the voice.
“Do you remember the night you dance before him?”
The voice asked. Allyia went back to that day when they fell in love.
“Yes.” She replied sadly.
“Dance one more time. With All the love you have
within. This will be the only way to bring him back to us.” The voice sad with some sadness of it’s own. Allyia
sensed it.
“Who are you?” She asked.
“Just one whose Love flourished, even after death.
Now go and love him with all your soul, mind, and heart.” The voice trailed off. Allyia’s eyes shot opened. She
rose to her feet.
Marcus feeling the movement of the bed, turned his head
towards her. There he saw such fiery passion. It made his look like an bonfire.
Chapter Twenty-Three
Arrogance: The act or habit of arrogating, or making undue claims in an overbearing manner; that species of pride which consists
in exorbitant claims of rank, dignity, estimation, or power, or which exalts the worth or importance of the person to an undue
degree; proud contempt of others; lordliness; haughtiness; self-assumption; presumption.
The funny thing about one with arrogance. They tend to
over-estimate or under-estimate. In Moran’s case, she’s guilty as charge of both. She never understood the power
of Love over Hate. Or she would have never sought to destroy her family.
It would be love flowing between her Nephew and herself,
instead of Hate. It would have been the emotion of Love knowing her other Nephew had finally found the Love of his life. Instead
it is hatred consuming her, that as soon as they consummate this union. It will embark on the revenge she had planned against
her remaining family members, for what seemed like eons.
But the greatest mistake she made of over and under-estimation.
Was the power and strength of an Mother’s Love. It can overcome ALL obstacles to protect the ones that are loved. Especially,
offspring’s.
Kane watched as his Aunt moved from one banister to the
other, deep in thought with the biggest smile on her face. She seemed triumphant in whatever her evil plan maybe.
Then she stopped in the middle of the staircase, turned
and looked at him. Kane glared back into the eyes of his father’s sister. Feeling some remorse. Because those were the
eyes of his father. Only difference were. In place of the soft gaze of his father, was an hardcore glare.
“Soon I will be free from this imprisonment your
mother cast on me. And in my place, will be YOU!” She began to laugh at him, mockingly. Kane didn’t quite understand
what she meant by that last statement. But whatever, he didn’t think he wanted to.
“You are more delusional in Death as you were in
Life. All you have done is spend your Life hating and plotting vengeance. Never once had you ever tried to Love anyone unconditionally.
And the saddest part of it ALL. You don’t try to make amends even in this place of purgatory. You’re still trying
to reach out and destroy my Brother and I. And for what?” Kane began to pace back and forwards, trying to reason with
her. Why? Maybe because despite it ALL, she was still his family. The power of love once again overcoming.
Moran stood stunned, impacted by Kane’s strong statement.
For one second, her heart felt some type of new sensation. Regret? Remorse? Sadness of things that could have been? And yet
can never be. She gazed upon Kane. He thought he saw something he had never seen in her eyes before. But it was fleeting.
“You think you know everything don’t you? Well,
you know nothing.” She turned from him and her thoughts went to the top of the stairs and down the corridor to the left.
Then she hit the banister with an clenched fist, turned and sent a mind jolt at Kane. You may catch him off guard once, but
NEVER twice.
Moran screamed in agony as the jolt was sent back her way.
She fell to the ground, writhing in pain. Kane watched her, bracing himself for another assault. Then he sensed another’s
presence. Wasn’t sure where. But they were in this place somewhere. And there was something familiar about them.
“No! No! This can’t be happening.” She
screamed out in desperation, from where she laid on the floor. She was trying to crawl up the stairs. Something he sensed
had turned for the worse. For her that is.
Allyia replayed over and over in her mind what the voice
had told her to do. She thought back to the night she danced before him, trying to regain her freedom from the hideous Augustus.
And now she finds herself having to dance once again for her freedom. But not from anyone as Augustus. But from her beloved
Marcus, turned evil.
Her mind remembered how he looked upon her as her body
became as one with the music. Cassie was the faithful Servant Jasper’s daughter. She arranged the seductive costume.
It was turquoise.
Her hair brought up into one long braid down her back.
A veil covered her face of turquoise color with gold trimming. She wore a turquoise brassiere with matching chiffon harem
pants. Very enticing to say the least.
She paced the floor wondering how she had come to this.
She knew her family would be worrying about her. Cassie was confident in what she was saying. After all she grew up in the
castle.
She knew Marcus very way. They had been playmates. Maybe
the reason she could get away with so much. Cassie though how much she wanted her Master to be happy. If not with her, then
with someone. And Allyia fit the bill.
Chapter Twenty-Four
She was still fearful of Augustus’ wrath. Cassie
nodded her head, looking in her eyes to reassure her. Then some music began to play. She dance liked she had never dance before.
Making Marcus fall in love her. She allowed her body speak to him. To be free or better. Belong to him.
Maybe it was the quiet. Maybe it was the atmosphere air.
Or the hint of something to come, that made Marcus pause and turn his head to the end of the table. But whatever it could
have been. One thing for sure, the mood was set. For the two souls.
Allyia walked out from behind the curtains that had once
been her shield. Whatever it was, her fear fled from her. Her eyes caught a glimpse of the one sitting at the head of the
great table. He seemed familiar as she made her way into the open. Then she remembered the face.
He was the one Augustus cowered from. She walked slow and
deliberate. Her courage renewed. Maybe Cassie was right after all. If he struck fear in the one who bought her, then the only
way to gain her freedom was through this ones heart. And the one thing she replayed in her mind, ‘Dance like you never
dance before. Make my Master fall in love with you. Let your body speak to him.’
She took her stance and waited for the music to begin.
It did. Allyia became lost in it’s rhythm. Her body swayed with it’s every note. Her abdomen rolled like the waves
of the sea. Her hips moved like unto an pendulum. She and the music moved as one.
Marcus slowly turned in her direction, straighten up in
his chair. His eyes glued to the dark beauty, as she danced her danced. She looked to him, one foot in front of the other.
She came closer to him. Their eyes met. Marcus raised his mug to his lips, his eyes never straying from hers. He drank.
Allyia felt free. All inhibitions were gone. She felt confident.
It was as if they were the only two in the room. She dance the dance of love before Marcus. He stared into the dark eyes,
bewitched by their depth. She was entranced by his beautiful haunting green eyes.
Her dance intensified. Their eyes were locked. She raised
her arms and beckoned him to join her on the floor. Without a thought, he rose from his seat and began to walk around the
great table. To the one who called to him. Never once did their eyes disconnect. His heart was hers.
Marcus moved as an lion towards his prey. But the young
woman seemed to be just as mesmerized by him. She had his Marcus attention. He was very taken in by her. She came back to
the presence.
Allyia’s eyes reached out and grabbed, those of Marcus’.
She was the entertainer and he was her audience. She took a small step towards him. Then her body began to move with the rhythm
of unheard music. Marcus, eyes plastered on of her body. She had him hooked.
He laid there paralyzed, fearing any movement on his part
would ruin the moment. He watched her dark hair flop from side to side with her head. He had only fantasized what she looked
like under her garments the night she danced for him. But tonight, there was no fantasy. His heart pumped radically beneath
his chest walls.
His eyes studied her beautiful dark body as is swayed like
an Cobra to enchanted music. Her firm dark nipples bounced slightly. His body was aching now.
She turned around quickly exposing her hard rounded buttocks.
Her hips moved like the waves on the sea. Moving out and then coming back, washing onto the shore.
He wanted her on his erection, feeling the swerving of
her hips. She took another small step. Her body intensifying the movement. Mesmerizing, hypnotizing him. Marcus was no longer
in control. He was like a man on the desert, thirsting for water. Her water.
She came down on all fours and began to crawl towards him,
as a she wolf ready to pounce her prey. Marcus didn’t move. She dipped her head into the spot between his nipples, sliding
her tongue upwards with one long lick. Marcus groaned. She took a nipple in her mouth and began to suck on it hard.
He griped the sheets, refusing to spoil this moment, he
would allow her to ravish his body if she so desired. As if he really had a choice. She controlled the situation. All he wanted
was to feel himself inside her beautiful body as she danced.
She bit down on the other nipple, sucking it hard. His
body quivered a little, he didn’t know how long he could hold himself. He felt as if he was going to spew any moment.
She moved over him and began to lick his lips with long
strides. He went to place his hand at the back of her head to kiss her. But she pinned his arms down beneath her knees. He
looked at her strangely. When did she become the aggressor and he became the submissive?
She rose to her feet and continued the dance him. He was
filling up as he never took his eyes off her. He wanted her. Needed her. Hungered for her. He was so caught up in her, he
never noticed she had moved over him.
Dancing, taunting, casting her spell of Love over him.
It wasn’t until he felt the tip of his member touching the warm moist entrance. Then he realized she was crouching over
him, moving her hips as she slowly descended on him. He let out a long groan of pleasure, as she slowly came down on him inch
by inch, getting accustomed to his size.
Allyia was feeling every bit of him. And he was feeling
so good. She was stretched to her limits, but she knew that would soon change. Then she would be able to resume her movements
while he rested inside of her. She wanted him to massage every part of her.
Chapter Twenty-Five
Allyia crouched over Marcus‘ member. Her hands placed
at each side of his hips, balancing herself. She looked into his eyes, seeing the evil side of him weakening and the other
side taking over. She saw her chance to free her Marcus.
She slowly began to move her buttocks upwards, still balancing
herself on his hips. She allowed him to almost slip out of her. Stopping at the tip. Then what she did next made him yell
out her name. She slowly began to gyrate, slower herself down on him once again, taking him fully into her.
“Nooooo!” Moran yelled, sensing the over take.
She looked over to where Kane stood, seemingly preoccupied with something. This caught her attention. She sensed he was searching
the house once again with his mind. But this time he wasn’t looking for his brother or Allyia.
“Kane!” She called to him. He didn’t
respond, he was deep in his thought. She saw her way to escape. She slowly began to move back towards the stairs, with her
eyes fixed on Kane.
Kane had sensed the presence of another with his last encounter
with Moran. They had passed by them with great swiftness. And it was a familiar presence. He sent out his mind in search of
who this person could be. They were in this realm with Moran and himself. That he did know. But the questions was, why didn’t
Moran sense the presence?
His mind flowed quickly through the bizzare castle. He
was just about to turn to end the probe, when he saw a figure down a corridor. They were enshroud by a golden glow. They stood
before a door. He began to move in it’s direction.
The closer he came, the more he could sense the essence
of his brother and Allyia. They were in the room where the figure stood. He also could feel great passion and love emanating
from the room.
He paused abruptly, a small distance away, alarmed. The
person had sensed his presence and turned to stare at him. Kane retreated back into himself. He slumped to the ground. He
was overwhelmed.
His heart felt as if it would explode from his chest. He
looked up to see his Aunt slithering up the stairs, he was too weak to stop her. His mind probing had took much out of him.
He jumped when she screamed with pain. From somewhere, as she had made it to the stop of the stairs. A jolt of lightening
hit her, sending her falling backwards and tumbling down the stairs.
She laid on the bottom step writhing in pain. She slowly
raised her head and looked over to her nephew. She was going to tear into him for the assault, but ceased. She could see the
mind search had left him weak. He couldn‘t had sent the mind jolt at her.
“Well, well Auntie! I wonder where that one came
from?” Kane was beginning to get his strength back. He was amazed how quickly her was restored. His powers were growing.
He wondered if it will last after all of this was over.
“Dear nephew. What were you searching with your mind
eye?” Moran had sat up and propped herself up against the banister. She was still recuperating from the powerful hit.
“You need to answer a question for me, Auntie. Why
didn’t you tell me we weren’t along here in this realm?” Kane’s voice was low and deep.
“What are you talking about? There’s no other
in this realm but you and I!” She began to look around, trying to sense if anyone else were indeed near.
“NO! Stop lying Auntie. I saw for myself in my mind
probing.” Kane yelled at her. She continue rubbing her head. She looked at him confused. But there had to be someone
else with them. If so, why couldn’t she feel them? Unless the are deliberately blocking her out.
“Your brother and his soon to be bride are in this
castle, if that’s what you mean. But then they are not with us. They are in the land of the living. Where I will soon
be once they have given themselves to each other. I will be the child they will conceive. And you will be trapped here forever.
So you see, I still get my revenge.” She stood to her feet, revealing her sick plan. She had to throw him and the other
off. She needed them to concentrate on something other hand her. Then she could get into their mind and discover who it is
assisting Kane in his quest.
“Over my dead body!” Kane said to her. He didn’t
want to press the issue of the person he saw. If his Aunt couldn’t feel it, then that means they had enough power to
block her mind probe. But why didn’t they block him?
Marcus griped the sheet as Allyia moved up and down his
shaft, dancing her seductive dance on him. As she had become accustomed to his size and the pain had turned to pleasure. Her
movement became more intensified. She began to pick up the pace.
Her hips took on a snakelike motion as she got into it.
She turned around facing away from him, exposing her butt to him. He took the opportunity to began playing with her small
area, which cause her to pump harder. He licked his finger and slowly inserted it in. She moaned with pleasure.
As fast as she pumped, the faster he inserted his finger
in and out of her opening. They moved as one trying to please and being pleased. Marcus could withstand the assault on his
member any longer. With one swift moved he had grabbed her hips, turning her to face him. And just as swift switched their
positions. Her on bottom and him on top. Now he would show her what powerful love he held for her.
She looked deep into his eyes, seeing the burning fire
of love and passion. She let out a small squeal as he entered her with one hard thrush. Let the lovemaking began.
Chapter Twenty-Six
Marcus enter her with such ease. She was hot, moist and
soft. He loved how she felt around him. He peered down into her eyes, as his body moved in and out of her. Seeing the Love
they held for him, was overwhelming. His hips moved as hers had. He loved how that made him feel. He wondered will it do the
same for her. It did. She let out a long moan.
He couldn’t get enough for her. His heart felt weaken
by her passion. She began to stroke in time with him. They danced their dance of love. Him giving it to her and her taking
it in. They rolled over and over, changing positions. Wanting to express the love they had for the other.
“I love you so much Allyia. Where would I be without
you.” He said softly in her ear, as his hips moved with hers. She allowed the tears to escape her eyes and trickle down
her cheeks. She held his face from hers, looking deep into his eyes, in search of her Marcus.
She didn’t have to look far. At that moment she witness
the change. The evil Marcus and the Good one, became as one. Each truly the same, but split by the curse of the Aunt. That
phase was now over.
The figure at the door, sensing the completion of one part
of the curse, left the two to finish. They turned and headed towards the area Kane and Moran where. One was saved, now to
save the other.
“NO! NO! This couldn’t be. This just can’t
be true.” Moran sense Marcus had recovered. Her spell was broken.
“What Auntie? Something happened that wasn’t
part of your stupid revenge?” Kane began to mock her. She looked over him with snake eyes, the essence of her evil seeping
through.
“No matter. They are about to reach their climax,
I will be there to join in the conception, booting the one to be born out and taking it’s place.” She then unexpectedly
sent such a surge of power at Kane, hitting with such strength. He flew back into the wall with such force, he knocked an
hole in it.
“When the conception has been completed. This realm
will close. You will be trapped here forever you little pest, out of my hair. And secret with you. How ironic. I will be nurtured
by my favorite Nephew and his wife.” He laid helpless unable to stop his aunt as she laughingly ascended the stairs
going to become Marcus and Allyia’s unborn child.
Marcus and Allyia, were soaring the heavens, lost in their
lovemaking, oblivious of everything. Finally they came to that place where they couldn’t go any farther.
Moran reached the top of the stairs triumphantly. Or was
she. She stopped frozen in her tracks. Her eyes not believing what she was seeing. Or who.
Kane struggled to get to his feet. Too much energy used.
He looked up to see his aunt frozen in place. Then his question was answered before asked. He saw the glowing light moving
toward his aunt. Blocking her passage to his brother and the princess.
The person turned to look down upon him. His heart skipped
a beat. He knew why the were so familiar.
“Mom!” He cried out o her. Smiled that smiled
he was always happy to see. Her dark brown eyes were radiate. He black raven hair flowed like dark waves down her back.
“It is time for you to leave this place. You have
done well. Now go before this realm close in on you and you are lost here forever.” The voice flowed through his mind.
Marcus and Allyia had giving all they could to each other.
Their bodies couldn’t contain themselves any longer. Their dams were overflowing, pressing to explode.
“Get out of my way. You have always been there to
ruin everything. Now you’re here. Move!” Moran screamed lounging to get pass her sister-in-law. But unsuccessfully.
Nadine sent another jolt that sent her flying backwards.
“You are not stronger than me. You have never been.
And you will never be. Kane GO! NOW!! Shaman, get my Son out of here. Quickly, they have reached their time” Her mind
went out.
Marcus gushed into her like a flood. Her fluids flowed
like a mighty rapids. He gave and she took all of him. They plummeted to the bed, spent.
Kane felt the earth shaking. He ran from his spot, looking
up to his Mother as she confronted his Aunt. The whole place began to close in on itself. Kane felt as if it was too late.
Just before he felt himself being knocked backwards. The last thing he saw was his mother holding his aunt tight in her grip
and smiling at him. Then everything went blank.
Chapter Twenty-Seven
Kane felt the warmth from the sunlight touching his eyes.
He adjusted his body, just before he flinched from the ache surging through his body. His eyes slowly opened, to take in his
surrounding. His mind was still vague on what happened to cause him to be in so much pain.
“I see you’re awake little brother.“
The deep low voice rumbled through the room. Kane barely could turn his head to see Marcus entering the room. Then Kane noticed
something. This wasn’t his room.
“Where am I?” He asked, as his eyes roamed
this strange place.
“Home!” Marcus answered taking a seat at the
end of the bed.
“You gave us quite a scare. You have been out for
a few days. What happened?” Marcus inquired. Kane pulled himself up in bed and leaned against the headboard for support.
Feeling the softness of the sheets, as they rustle with his movement.
A young maiden came in with a food tray. Marcus gesture
for her to leave it on the table near the fireplace. Kane’s stomach growled from the scent of the food.
“Don’t you know?” Kane stared at his
brother as his memories slowly penetrated the veil blocking his them.
“No! Tell me.” Kane didn’t know if he
should. Maybe it’s best if he leave things as they were.
“If you don’t remember, neither do I.”
Kane eyes went pass is brother to the tray of food. He was starving. Marcus eyes followed Kane’s and smiled.
“Let me help you out of this bed. You need your strength.”
Marcus stood and came to his brother’s side, Helping him out of the bed and over to the table.
“Kane! You’re finally awake.” Kane’s
head snapped up to see the lovely Princess Allyia entering the room. She seemed more radiate then he last saw her. She came
to Marcus’ side, as he put his arm around her waist. Bending to plant as small kiss on her lips. A sample of what will
come later on. She blushed, reading his intents in his eyes.
“Yes! You seem well.” Kane’s words were
hesitant. Allyia smiled confusingly at him.
“Yes! Why wouldn’t I be. I’m married
to the love of my life. And my dear brother-in-law has finally come back to the land of the living. Kane eyes peered long
at her from the choice of wording.
“Interesting.” He said, leaning back in his
chair, allowing the food to digest.
“What is?” Marcus asked. Kane shook his head,
not sure what was going on.
“Nothing. I’m still trying to get my bearings.
I’ll be alright. Just give me sometime. It’s been a little hectic. Marcus nodded.
“Well my lovely Bride and I will leave you to your
thoughts. See you in a while?” Marcus eyes pleading.
“Yes. I’ll be down.” Kane smiled at his
brother, watching him turn and leave with Allyia.
Kane’s memory had fully returned. He diligently rose
from the table and headed to the balcony, taking a seat on the banister. Now he recalled this place. The castle he was sent
to help Marcus. It was the same land once laid desolate. But now beautiful and full of life everywhere.
In the distance, the countryside was filled with grass
and flowers, of various colors and types. Little small farms were spread apart as far as you could see. Sheep and livestock
grazed on the hillsides.
The courtyard was a small distance from the inner city,
which was full of merchants and buyers. Children and dogs ran through the streets playing. While their parents try to make
a deal. Yes, this was a far cry from the castle he was sent to help Marcus.
Kane eyes came to rest on someone in the courtyard, staring
at him. He knew this one. He watched him begin to walk towards the entrance way of the castle. Kane walked back into the room,
taking his seat at the table where he had just had his breakfast, waiting for the one person who could clear this all up.
The wait wasn’t long.
Chapter Twenty-Eight
A small tap came at his door. Kane called for the person
to enter. His eyes fixed on the figure as he moved into the room, easing the door shut behind him. He looked at a confused
Kane.
“I see you have recovered from your adventure.”
The Shaman said as he drew closer to Kane.
“Yes, I’m no worst from the wear and tear.”
Kane was a little irritated. He needed answers.
“And answers you will have.” The Shaman took
a seat across from him.
“Why didn’t you tell me my Mother was part
of this plan” This was the first and foremost question he needed answered.
“She asked us not to say anything. She needed your
brother and you safe. The less either of you knew, the better the execution of the plan would have been.” The Shaman
begin to explain. Kane shifted in his chair.
“How could us not knowing what was going to happen
help?” Kane didn’t understand the rationale.
“Let me first tell you how and why your mother came
to us. Then you will have an better understanding.” The Shaman took a long breath in then exhale before he relayed the
story.
“I’m listening.” Kane was less angry,
wanting to hear the story of his mother.
Nadine’s Story
‘We were a small village in this beautiful land.
The Old Shaman who lost his life in this battle over good and evil was then the leader of our group. The Dread Leader relied
on his wisdom. And as well he should. Never had their been one as him.
Nadine knew of his powers. You see, as a girl, she would
come to our village and practice with him. He taught her everything she knew. She became very powerful. Even more greater
than her mentor. He didn’t envy her one bit. Because she had the right heart. He knew her powers and everything he had
taught her would no go wasted.
Her father was the King of this land. When he discovered
what she was doing. He banished her forever. It was an sad day. The Shaman met her at the borders. Sending her away with his
blessings. And steering her to another place. To your homeland. And to your father. Who was a King with powers of his own.
But neither knew of the others, until one day his sister came to visit.
Your mother caught her practicing magic. Black magic, the
worst kind. Nadine counteracted it. She was hesitant to tell your father. She didn’t want to take the chance of being
banish once again. But unknowst to her, Moran had sensed someone had blacked her spell.
She set out to find who it was powerful enough to override
her spell. It didn‘t take long. Every night while all were sleep, your mother would go out deep into the garden. There
she would practiced her magic. She didn‘t want to forget what she knew. And she wanted to increase her powers.
Moran had followed her. She couldn‘t wait to run
to her brother and lead him out to the garden to witness her abilities. Your father watched in bewilderedness. This beautiful
raven haired girl had come to him from nowhere, was as he.
“Nadine!” He called to her. She jumped turning
in midair to face her husband. She stood stunned. Her heart sunk to the bottom of her stomach. All that she ever cared about
was now lost. She ran passed him into the night. He called after her put she cloaked herself form his sight. Needless to say
his sister was sent away.
He went in search of Nadine. He found her and explain he
had powers too. How else was he able to find her. He told her was known as the Lord of Darkness. And one day his first born
will be known as the same. And that he would have similar powers. But they would remain dormant until provoked.
Soon that son, Marcus was born. Then later another son
was born, you. In the course of the year, Nadine sense a plot by your father’s sister hatching. The first was the fake
someone’s after me to regain entrance into the castle.
Then the time she spent with Marcus. Your mother knew the
spell she was casting on him. But with each spell cast. Your mother blocked them. But this time she was careful not to allow
your Aunt to sense her.’ Now Kane knew why his Aunt couldn’t sense his mother.
Chapter Twenty-Nine
‘One day she overheard her planning this ultimate
revenge against the family. She knew then she had to stop her anyway she could. This is when she came to us for help. We devised
the plan that would save you two, destroy your aunt. And help your mother reclaim this kingdom, which she should have been
heir when her father died. Marcus was to take the throne here. And you to become the new ruler in your father‘s place.’
All makes since. Kane thought.
“Does my brother know any of this?” Kane looked
up to the Shaman, as he was taking his leave.
“No only that he was to take this throne the day
he wed.” The Shaman disclosed to Kane and left.
‘So he knew all alone he was not going to be the
ruler in our homeland. Wonder why he didn’t tell me?” Kane whispered to himself.
“I asked him not to. I wanted it to be surprise.
But everything got out of hand. But all is well, that ends well.” The soft voice of his mother touched his ear. Kane
turned to see her floating near the balcony, transparent.
“Mother! I thought you were trapped in the other
realm with Moran.” Kane stood to his feet and walked slowly towards her, fearing she would disappear.
“No! But don’t worry about her. She is not
a threat any longer. All I want and ever wanted was for you two boys to be happy.” His mother answered.
“Well, I’m just happy to see you again. Anyway
I can. I love you so much.” Kane allowed the tears swelling in his eyes to fall. His mother tilted her head ever so
slightly, feeling the pain of her son. Longing to touch and comfort him. She reached out an hand and ran it down his cheek.
Kane felt the warm on his cheek.
“I must go now. My job here has ended. Stay strong.
Use much wisdom in your rule. And diligent in your ever growing powers.” She began to fade as she drifted out onto the
balcony and away into the sky.
“So will you be joining the rest of the world soon,
little Bro? I have some important news to share with you.” Marcus walked thought the bedroom door and exited onto the
balcony to stand beside his brother.
“Do you ever think of Mother, Marcus? And the sacrifice
she made for us to save us from Moran.” Kane eyes were still fixed on the spot he last saw his mother before she completely
vanished from his sight.
“All the time Kane. All the time.” Marcus had
great sadness in his voice. Kane turned to look at his brother. He noticed something awfully weird. His eyes were on the same
spot as his. Had he seen their mother too?
Later on after the revealing of the creed given to Marcus
by his mother to give to Kane upon his marriage. Kane bid Marcus and Allyia farewell. He needed to get back to his new rule.
He had been away to long. No telling what havoc was taking place. The promised each other they would visit often. And stay
trusted allies.
Marcus and put Allyia to bed properly. He took a walk in
the same garden his mother spent much of her time. There was a secluded and peaceful spot. His mother had told him many times
about it when he was growing up. The half hadn’t been told. It was beautiful and magical. It had it’s very on
small waterfall, that emptied into a small pond. He went and sat near it.
“You did good, my Son.” The voice of his mother
coming form behind him. She came to sit next to him, eyes glued to the ripples in the water.
“Thank you Mother. Kane will never know we orchestrated
part of this plan to get him to take over the throne.” Marcus said to his mother.
“I know. He never new how powerful he was or is.
Even now his powers get greater. He will rule over his people well.” His mother tossed a small twig into the water.
Marcus looked up to his mother.
“He doesn’t know you didn’t die does
he. I saw you in his room. Why won’t you allow him this bit of information. I hate to have to keep anymore secrets from
him.” Marcus said with a little annoyance in his voice. She sensed it.
“I have explained it to you over and over. When I
gave him some of my powers, I gave him part of my essence too. I will never be able to hold him or touch him. We can’t
ever be on the same plane. This was the aftereffects. It’s better he thinks I’m a spirit, which in his case is
true. If he ever found out what really happened that day. It would destroy him. It’s bad enough he is carrying around
this guilt that he caused my death. The other would be worst.
“Yes, you are right as always. I didn’t think
of it that way. So when would you like to began the next phase?” Marcus stood to his feet, crossed his arms over his
chest staring down at his mother. She smiled and looking over the water.
“Very soon. I have just the maiden in mind to become
Kane’s wife. We have to be careful that he doesn’t know we have a hand this. He has to think it was his choice
along.” His mother informed him.
“Yeah, like he thought he had hand picked Allyia
for me. The power of suggestion. It would be harder now, with his powers so strong.” Marcus assisted his mother to her
feet. She touched his cheek.
“Haven’t you learned by now. No one is powerful
than me. And definitely not more determined to see my Sons happy and well. Now let me go to the homeland. There’s a
maiden in the village I need to whisper in her ears. She will think it’s a dream.” His mother informed him. Marcus
smiled at the thought of his brother being in love. He hated he was alone.
Somewhere in the homeland. Kane stood on the balcony of
his room, looking out over his new kingdom. Things weren’t as bad as he thought. Jasper was a very good and loyal servant.
A knock came at his door.
“Come in.” Kane voice travel through the room.
He could hear the door open behind him. And the soft tread of feet moving his way.
“Sir, your drink that you asked.” Cassie the
daughter of the head butler informed him. He turned to look at her. They had grown up together with Marcus in this house.
They were like the three stooges.
Not tonight. His eyes came to rest on her face, seeing
her in a different light. Moonlight that is. It played on her face, giving her an enchanting look.
“You look different tonight, Cassie. What are you
doing?” Kane asked. He always joked with her.
“Nothing, Sir!” She replied and turned to leave
the room. Kane followed behind her.
“Would it be inappropriate if I asked you to share
a drink with me?” Kane went over to the table and poured a little wine in his glass. And gesture to do the same for
the other. Waiting her answer. But Cassie was standing frozen in her spot, staring at came with large eyes.
“What’s wrong. I didn’t mean to offend
you by breaking rules. But then I don’t remember you much playing by anyone’s rules before.” Kane stared
at Cassie who was just beginning to show some signs of life.
“No. That’s not it. This whole scenario. We
did this in my dream. I was sent to bring you a drink. We were on the balcony. You said what you said just now. Everything
Kane. It was so real. I remember it vividly. Now here we are.” In her explaining about her dream.
Kane had went and poured the second drink listening to
her and remembering a day when they were children. How he loved her then. But Jasper caught them kissing one day and threaten
to send her away if they didn’t stop keeping company. But it was him who was sent away by his father against his mother’s
protest. That’s what caused them to grow apart.
Yet, now seeing her and free from other concerns. His love
for her had never stopped. He had just pushed them back in his mind. No wonder no one else had measured up. They weren’t
her.
“Come my darling. I guess you don’t remember
what we once shared many years ago. And how we were separated.” Kane tried to make her recall their love. Cassie took
the drink and sat in the chair across from Kane, staring into the fireplace. No she had never forgotten him. She felt he had
her.
“No Kane. I never forgot. But what was I to do. I
was an butler’s daughter. And you a prince. Heir to the throne. Which you now preside over.” She looked into his
eyes, with such sorrow.
Kane took the wine in with one gulp. The magic was there.
It was as if it laid dormant. Only to be rekindled. The fates must be shining on them. They stared into each others eyes,
lost to the night. Lost to this realm.
“Marcus stood near the pond in the secluded spot
of the garden. He heard the footsteps approaching. He felt the soft hand rub his arm. He turned and bent to allow them the
gentle peck on his cheek.
“So it is done?” Marcus asked, staring back
into the water.
“Yes. It went perfectly. I always knew Cassie would
be the one to light him up. She always did. They will be alright.” His mother sat on the soft grass, watching the ripples.
“Yes, after Jasper comes down.” Marcus said
and they both began to laugh out loud. How well did they know their faithful butler?
