Chapter 1

Mystique stood on the balcony, looking out over the land she reigned over and called home. But it wasn’t always like this. She wasn’t always Mystique. And she hasn’t always lived in what she has come to call Mystique’s Realm.

She tuned and walked back into her room, She was deep in thought. Something was off. She could sense changes. There were dark forces at work. Something in her pass was resurfacing. Something she thought she had dealt with the matter. But now it seems sleeping dogs don’t lie.

She moved towards the chair positioned in front of the great fireplace and gracefully sat in it. She crossed one leg over the other and leaned back in it, studying the dancing flames. She would have to prepare for what’s to come.

She reached over and took the tall slender glass of red wine, putting it to her lips and sipped gently. She pulled the glass away and stared into it. She ran her tongue over her lips, savoring the taste. Her eyes darted back to the flames. Her expression grew intense.

“Not this time! You will not succeed this time! Only if..........!” She started, then the pain of a past life took control of her thoughts. her mind drifted back in time. To a place long ago, but not forgotten.

“Caron, come on! We’re going to be late!” The young woman called to her friend from the car.

“Alright, alright! Keep your pants on!” She yelled over her shoulder, trying to pull the key out of the lock.

“I don’t want to miss a thing!” She continued. Caron turned away from the door and jumped off the porch, rushing towards the car. Trying to put her waist jacket on. She ran around to the passenger side of the car and opening the door slide in.

“Damn Thelma! It doesn’t start for another three hours. Five minutes won’t make that much difference. Don’t get your panties up in a bunch! Thelma pulled the car out of the driveway and sped down the street.

“Keep my pants on! Don’t get your panties up in a bunch! What’s up with that? Yu got a fixation for my lower body?” Thelma pumped her eyebrows, staring sexy at Caron.

“Ugh! Girl you ain’t got the right equipment. So don’t go there!” Caron shook her head and frowned.

“Don’t knock it until you try it!” Thelma purse her lips and made like a fish in the water. Caron turned away laughing.

“Girl quit! We have plenty of time. It’ll on take thirty minutes to get there anyways. And only ten the way you drive.” She said, looking away out the window with this huge smirk on her face.

“Whateeeever! Boy I can’t believe we’re finally going to see him, Girl!” Thelma was getting all excited.

“Yeah! The last two times he was sick and something else. I would just die if he wasn’t there tonight! You don’t think he won’t be there tonight do you? It’ll be just our luck.

“He’s booked to be there tonight. It was advertised and all.” Thelma kept her eyes on the road and screamed at someone who cut her off.

“Yeah, but that also says card subject to change.” She reminder her. Thelma gave her a quick glare. She was about to ruin a perfectly good night out.

“Don’t go jinxing things Caron.” She snapped.

“Well if he isn’t, it’ll be the last time. This would make the third time. And you know what they say?” Caron looked over to Thelma, whose eyes shot up in the air then back to the road.

“I’m sure you’ll tell me since you’re bent on spoiling this night for me.” Thelma shook her head, wondering why of all the friends she could have invited. And who would definitely had been more fun to be with. Did she chose HER?!

“Three strikes you’re out!” Caron said, nodding her head. Thelma looked over to her with this wide grin on her face. Then she answered her question. Because out of all her friends, none were quite like Caron. She was one of a kind.

“Caron!” She warned. Caron began to laugh out loud. She had pulled her friend’s leg yet again.

“Okay, okay Thelma. I’ll quit!” She kept laughing.

“Look Caron, I want you to have fun. You know what I mean.” Thelma grew serious for a moment. Caron began to brush her hand over her leg, as if smoothing out her jeans.

“Yeah, but let’s make a deal. I won’t mention about him not being there. And you won’t mention the unmentionable.” Caron looked up to Thelma. She turned to stare back at her friend and smile, nodding her head. They rode onto the arena, each in their thoughts.

Part 2

The two young women had made small talk, as they excitedly awaited their arrival to the show that night. Thelma pulled up to the arena and the excitement swelled within them. She drove into the parking lot and Caron paid for the parking. Thelma find a nice spot, not to far away. The two quickly got out of the car and rushed towards a crowd.

“Is this the spot where the wrestlers come through?” Caron asked as the walked up to the group.

“Yeah!” A girl told them and turned back to talk to her friends.

Thelma and Caron walked around until they found a spot to squeeze through and up to the barricade. Both being 5’3”, no one paid them much attention. The leaned over trying to see if they could spot any cars coming up.

“Al Snow!” Someone in the crowd called out. A bunch of people came running over to see him. He smiled and waved. The girls called to him.

“He’s cute!” Thelma turned to Caron, smiling form ear to ear.

“Jackie and Terri!” A voice yelled. The two famous superstars waved as the pass the crowd. The crowd was pumped. Electricity was floating in the air.

“The Dudley’s” Once more a voice yelled. The wrestlers pass by waving, making their way to the underground passageway. The crowd chanted ‘Tables! Tables!.” Thelma and Caron were having a ball, seeing the different wrestlers pass by waving and smiling. A couple came out to allow pictures of them to be taken.

“Hey here comes a black limo!” Someone called out. A long limo pulled up and started pass the crowd. Then unexpectedly, it stopped right in front of the crowd where the two young women’s stood. It had dark tinted windows. No one were able to see inside.

Caron suddenly began to feel ill. She felt a chill come over her. Her stomach was upset. She turned and slowly pushed her way through the crowd. She thought she was going to pass out. She looked up and saw a tree, she made her way towards it and sat down. Just as she distance herself from the crowd, she instantly felt a lot better.

The limo began to move away and down into the garage. Thelma turned towards, where Caron had been standing and saw she wasn’t there. She strained her neck to see if the crowd had some how pushed her down farther. She saw she wasn’t there and pushed her way through them. She exited the mass of bodies and searched for her friend. She look over to see her under a tree. She rushed over to her.

“Caron, what’s wrong?” She came to sit neck to her.

“It’s the strangest thing. When that limo pulled up in front of us. A second later I got sick. And once I got far away, I felt so much better.” She told her. Thelma smiled at her friend. Always the dramatic.

“Whooo! Maybe the Lord of Darkness put a spell on ya!” Thelma teased. Caron stared at her for a moment, then burst out laughing.

“Yeah right!” She laughed.

“Did you eat anything today. Maybe ALL the excitement was overwhelming.” Thelma suggested.

“You know! I just realized I haven’t ate a thing. Let’s go get something to eat. We still have some time.” Caron told her. Thelma agreed and they both went in search of food.

Part 3

The limo came to a stop, in the garage area. The driver exited the limo, immediately went to the back door and opened it. The passenger placed one foot out and then the other, stepping out of the automobile. He came to stand his full nearly seven feet tall. He looked around, his face in a scowl. Then to the driver with annoyance. The driver slowly back out of the giant’s way and watched him moved through the garage.

Thelma and Caron had finished eating. They took a seat under the tree and waited for the show to start. Thelma looked over to her friend with great concerned. She loved Caron very much. She was more like a sister than anything. She had seen her through some rough times. And always fearful she would fall back.

“So how are you feeling now?” Thelma asked, drawing on the straw and tasting her drank.

“Yeah, I do. I guess hunger and excitement took it’s toll.” Caron looked over to Thelma.

“Note! Next time we make sure we make time to eat. Can’t have either one of us passing out and missing the show.” Thelma chuckle. Caron nodded in agreement. The crowd began moving towards the doors. Thelma looked up to see what was going on. She quickly patted Caron’s knee and jumped to her feet. Caron looked at her, then over to the doors. The crowds was forming a line.

“They’re opening! Let’s go!” Thelma cried. Caron was on her feet in no time and the two went running to get a place in line.

It took them about twenty minutes to get in. Once in, they headed for their seats. They were lucky, seated on the floor section. Still having time before the show began, they wondered around a bit.

They checked over the merchandise for sell and searched for something they wanted. There was a table with T-Shirts and caps. They decided to by the ones of Undertaker. Roaming around and looking at the crowd. Bathing in the energy spilling over. Nothing like a WWF/E show live. After sometime, they decided to go back to their seats and wait.

He stood looking at the monitors, searching for someone. He gestured for the cameraman to scan the audience. He watched intensely, eyes locked on the screen. The camera went down one side of the arena, taking a sweep over the other. Nothing. He inhale and held it, then allowed it to slowly exit his body. He stood watching, rubbing his hand over his goatee.

He started to turn and leave, when something caught the corner of his eye. Turning back to the monitors and leaning in, to get a closer look of two young women, walking down the aisle of the arena. The were approaching the front of the ring, in the floor section. Could it be? Yes, it was her. The one he had connected with earlier. He ran a finger over the monitor, outlining her, as she made her way to her seat. He took in a deeper breath, closed his eyes, then let it out. Then he straighten up and smile deviously. He turned and left the booth, at the relief of the crew. He really creep them out.

“Thelma! Look there’s JR and King!” She pointed in the direction of the area by the ring. Thelma craned her neck to see them. Their spot was so nice, everyone was so up close.

“Yes! They look about the same. Don’t you think?” She said, looking over to Caron. She nodded her agreement.

The announcer made his way to the ring. He gave some instructions, then the show was on its way. The girls shifted in their seats, anticipating seeing their wrestler of choice. The Undertaker!
The matches were pretty much up to what they had expected. But they were getting impatient, waiting for The Undertaker.

Then the lights went down. Everything went to that famous blue. The Gong tolled. The crowd went wild. Then out from the curtains came the huge man. The Phenom. He moved like a Zombie, face blanked. Some of the crowd reached to touch him. He never acknowledge them. He stepped up the steps, raising his hands and the lights.

He got into the ring and stalked around looking over the crowd. This evil smirked pasted across his face. Then he came to the side Thelma and Caron sat. He looked over the crowd on that side. Then his eyes locked in on Caron’s. She felt her stomach churning, feeling cold and clammy. Next thing she remembered was falling into darkness.

Part 4

Caron saw herself lying on a hard table. She was fighting hands groping at her. They were trying to touch and grab her. It was dark and cold, smelly and stale. A mist surrounded the table. She realized the people were dead. She tried to escape, but she found she was bound. Not by any seen force, but mentally. She screamed out.

She could hear heavy breathing and a deep voice laughing at her struggle. She tossed and turned trying to break free of the hold on her. If only she could wake up, then she would be free. The voice said to her, ‘No! You belong to me. Always.’

“Noooooooo!” She yelled, coming out of her unconsciousness. She shot up in a sitting position. Her heart was pounding fast and breathing was heavy. She looked around the room, seeing all these strange people. Then it came to rest on a friendly face.

“THELMA!!” She cried. Thelma pulled her to herself. Trying to comfort her.

“Now, now Caron! It’s okay! You just passed out and was having a dream!” Thelma informed her. Caron pulled away and stared into her friends face.

“I passed out?” She ran her fingers through her hair, trying to remember something.

“Yeah girl! Just as the Taker came out too! The security was on us like white on rice. They carried you back here.” Thelma told her, trying to calm her down.

“Back here? Where is back here?” Caron, looked around and saw that the place did look familiar. It was the same room they use to bring the wrestlers, while filming them working on them.

“The Wrestler’s infirmary!” Thelma confirming, waving her hand around.

“Oh do I feel so embarrass.” She said burying her face in her hands. She heard Thelma chuckle.

“How’s the little lady? A voice entered the room. Caron looked up into Vince McMahon’s face. The girls got all nervous.

“I-I-I’m fine Sir!” Caron’s voice very weak. Thelma couldn’t believe he actually came to see about a fan.

“Good! Look! I’m sorry you missed the last half of the show. But I tell you what. I’ll treat you two to our show in the next city. How about that?” Vince seemed very cheerful. Not that hard ass everybody said he was.

“Alright! Sure!” Thelma shouted out, looking over to Caron.

“Good! I’ll have someone come in and give you the tickets. Oh and also, fill out the form. And please, make sure your names, address and phone numbers are correct.” He instructed them They nodded and watched him leave the room.

“WOW! Did you ever think?” Thelma said dancing around the room. Caron sat there in disbelief. Who would thought such luck would come their way.

Vince headed down the hallway, only to be stopped by a tower of a man. Vince looked nervous, the man sneered down towards him. Vince started to say something, but the man raised his hand to quiet him. Then he looked around to make sure no one was near. He gave Vince the go ahead.

“I did what you asked. Now you do what I want.” He told him. The man smiled and then looked towards the room where Caron and Thelma were. He nodded and turned, walking away in silence. Vince pulled out an handkerchief, rubbing the beads of sweat from his face. He knew he had sold his soul to the Devil. But worst, a young woman along with it.

Part 5

Caron waved goodbye to Thelma! They had made their plans to leave early in the morning to go to the house show, Vince had invited them. Thelma waved back and pulled out of her friend’s driveway and sped down the street home. Caron turned and unlocked the door going inside.

It was a small two bedroom house. She had stayed there with her brother until he got married and moved crossed country. She thought about renting out the room but didn’t feel right about it. So she elected to live along except for her three cats. Minnie, Moe and Mac. All M’s.

She flipped the light switch by the door so not to trip in the dark. She did a quick search of the house, you never know. The cats watched her every move. But mainly they were hungry. She spoke to them as she laid her purse on the couch and went into the kitchen.

She opened the three cans and place the food in teach of their dishes. She sat them on the floor and watched them chow down. She had to make a note to put out some dry food in case she got held over.

She left them eating and walked into her living room. She flopped down on the couch. It had been a very long and strange night. Her mind tried to remember something. There was something about her passing out.

“Oh well!” She said and pulled her feet up on the couch, falling to sleep.

“Caron! What a pretty name. What a pretty girl.” He walked around in his room, looking over the piece of paper that contained the information he requested. He looked over to his man servant. He shrunk from his stared.

“Tomorrow she will be mind.” He said and sat on his bed, then he pulled his legs up and stare up to the ceiling.

“Nooooo! Get out of my head!” Caron sat up screaming. This is getting ridiculous.

“What the hell is going on?” She whispered to herself, then rose from the couch. She went into the kitchen an poured herself a glass of water. Then she stared down at the floor. WAIT!

“I was feeling just fine until that limo pulled up! Who could have been in it?” She said and jumped when the phone rung. She reached for the one on the kitchen wall. She put it to her ear.

“Hey girl! How are you feeling? I couldn’t sleep. I’m still pumped!” Thelma’s voice came from the other end.

“I’m alright, I guess.” Her voice uncertain. Thelma looked at the phone then put it back to her ear.

“You guess? What the hell does that mean? Are you feeling dizzy or something? I’ll come take you to the hospital.” Thelma told her.

“No, no! It’s just that me passing out like that. It’s scary!” She told her.

“Yeah! And right when the Undertaker was string at us.” Thelma informed her. Caron stiffed. Then her mind allowed what she was trying to remember come through.

“The Undertaker was staring at us when I passed out?” She asked, hoping she didn’t hear that.

“Yep! He never took his eyes from you, as they rushed over after I call for help and carried you out.” Thelma relayed to her. Caron put her hand to her forehead, not believing this. The first time to actually see him and she doesn’t remember only vaguely.

“HOW embarrassing!” She said, sitting down in a chair.

“Oh and guess what else. That limo that stopped in front of us. Guess who?” Thelma was so excited to give her that bit of news.

“The Undertaker?” She answered.

“Yes, yes!” Thelma was so excited. Caron let the phone easy down into her lap. A chill ran up and down her spine. She had this sinking feeling something was off. Something that was going to occur, that would change her life. And it wasn’t good.

Part 6

Caron hung up the phone, from talking with Thelma. A dread swept over her. The Undertaker was in that limo that stopped in front of them. She became ill and had to leave the line. But as she got farther away, she felt better. Then when he came out into the arena and stood in front of them, staring down at her. That’s when she was overcome and passed out. Could he be behind all of this?

No! He’s just a man who plays a Dark character in the WWF’E. But there was something else that came to mind, the dream while she was out. Dead people surrounding her, trying to pull her off the table. And that voice in her head.

“His voice.” She whispered. She clutched herself, trying to calm her shivering body. This was the most weirdest thing that has happened in her life. Except for years ago, as her mind wandered back for a second, recalling something.

“No way! I know this is a dream and I’ll wake up. Or this is some prank being played on me like that fear show, to see how freaked out I can get. Well, hello! I’m freaked!“ She rose from the couch, looking around the room, seeing if someone was going to pop out with a camera or something. This can’t be happening. She thought, burying her face in her hands.

Caron decided to take a nice shower, to calm her nerves and then go to bed. Morning will bring a clearer head. If that was possible. She leaned in and turned on the water, testing the temperature. She gather her things and set them down, began to disrobe.

She entered the shower and allowed the water to flow over her head and down her body. It was so soothing and relaxing. Her eyes were closed, shutting out the world. She felt herself drifting away, far away. Then she felt as if she wasn’t alone. Before she knew it, two hands had come up from behind her and grasped her breast. She felt herself surrendering, giving into the touch and sensual feeling it aroused within her.

“That’s right, surrender!” The low deep voice flowed into her mind.

“Aieeee!” She screamed. Her eyes shot open and she spun around with extraordinary speed. Only to face the far shower wall and closed shower doors. She was alone.

She stood frozen, with arms wrapped about her. Her lower lips quivered, the after effects of his touch remained prevalent. Her chest heaved in and out. She felt as if her legs were going to give from under her. Then she came to her senses and shoved the shower doors open, making her escape. She quickly grabbed her robe and ran from the bathroom. Looking back to see if anyone was behind her.

She flew into her bed and scurried up to the headboard, taking a pillow into her arms. Holding it to her. Her cats wandered into the room and jumped on the bed, each taking a positioned around her. They too had sense something. They would protect her as much as they were able. It’s said, if you ever want to know if something is afoot. Watch the animals! They’ll never steer you wrong.

He stood in his chambers, dripping wet. Eyes fixed and a triumphant smiled etched across his face. His outing had been most interesting to say the least. He looked from one out stretched hand to the other. Still feeling the soft firm and full rounded breast in his hands. Her body was nice too. Small and filled out. The beads of water accentuated her curves. He felt an hard on coming.

He stalked over to his bed and pulled the rope hanging near it. His chamber door quickly opened, a handmaiden entered. She looked at him with humble eyes, awaiting and knowing what he desired. She was more than willing to give it. He beckon for her to come closer, she did. He grabbed her hair, pulling her head back. He looked over her face and at her longing eyes.

His lips covered hers, kissing hers deeply. She moaned into his mouth. That made him want her more. He pulled away from her and began removing his garments. Her eyes grew wide for an instant, seeing the package he had. He smiled and ordered her to do the same.

She stood naked, waiting for his next command. He looked upon her beautiful body and knew she will do for tonight. He sauntered over to her, moving around her. His eyes dark with passion. He moved up behind her and bent her head to the side, exposing her neck. He placed his mouth on the spot to the side and planted a small peck. She inhaled hard,, holding it for a moment. She could feel his huge member pressing against her buttocks.

He wrapped his arms around her waist, lifting her from the floor. He carried her over to the bed and gently laid her down. He moved over her, as he came into the bed. She stared up into his eyes, feeling his legs between hers. He spread his legs, moving hers further apart.

He moved in and kissed her once again. She wrapped her legs around his waist and arms about his neck. He entered her slowly and methodically. She moaned and groan with pleasure. And pain. He began moving in and out of her at a slow pace, then thought of the one he wanted the most, filled his every thought.

His hips began to move back and forth. Faster and faster, until he reached that place where he needed release. He growled loud and long, spilling into her. She screamed out and collapsing beneath him. He fell in the bed next to her and pulled her limp body to his. She had done good. He would reward her well in the morning.

His thoughts went to Caron. And her invitation to the house show they will be doing. He laughed to himself. “She’ll be entering, but not leaving.” He said quietly, then snuggled closer to the maiden next to him, drifting off to sleep.

Part 7

Caron’s breathing had slowed down some. Her heart was not pounding as much. She rested her head on the headboard. That was too real. She thought. The touch was still present on her breast. She was afraid to go to sleep.

Minnie got up and moved to her. Caron’s tired eyes looked at her and began rubbing her. Minnie appreciated that and laid next to her, purring as she rubbed her fur. Mac and Moe remained at the foot on either side, watching.

Soon the rubbing of Minnie and her soft purring calmed Caron more than she knew. Her head began to rock up and down, as she tried to fight the sleep. But her head grew heavy, along with her eyelids. She slid down in bed and laid her head on her pillow, soon after the she slipped into the dark.

“Caron! Caron!” The deep voice called to her from the shroud of darkness. She looked up to see a red mist. She could barely make out the form as it floated towards her. The she froze as he came clearer.

“KANE?” What are you doing here?” She sat up in bed. Her cats lay sleep. Some protection, she thought.

“Do Not go to the Show tomorrow!” He warned her, in a monotone voice. Then she remembered something.

“Wait! This is a dream, because you can’t talk!” She told him. He tilted his head to the side and stared blankly from behind the mask.

“Do Not go to the show tomorrow!” He repeated. Then began to move backwards. The red mist that surrounded him slowly engulfed him. Then with a “Poof!” He vanished along with the mist.

“OH!” Caron said loudly, coming out of her sleep and searching the room. She slowly crawled to the bottom of her bed and looked around. He was gone. It was just a dream. She sat back in a kneeling position. Can this night get any worst. She looked over to the clock. She must have slept most of the night soundly. It was now 5 o’clock.

One thing she had learned from experience, if you have a bad feeling about something. Act on it. Somehow she knew she had to stay away from the WWEF/E! Things weren’t as they seem. Thelma and her were going to a show Vince had invited to the night before. She had to call Thelma and use the being sick as an excuse. She couldn’t tell her the real reason.

“Oh, by the way Thelma. Undertaker and Kane are haunting me. They really do have powers.” She knew Thelma would send the white truck and men in white after her. She could see herself being carded off wrapped in the strait jacket screaming to the top of her lungs.

She had to laughed at the irony. All she wanted was to go to a simple show and watch her favorite wrestler in action live. But what did she get, them after her. Be careful for what you ask. You may get more than you bargain for. She move towards the phone, staring at it. She went to pick it up a couple of times and stop. Needing to be convincing and new Thelma would be disappointed.

“Hello!” The voice was just below a mumble. Caron pause, taking a deep breath.

“Good morning Thelma!” Is all she could think of to say at the moment, before she hit her with the news.

“Huh? Caron! Oh my! What time is it?” She asked, straining to see the clock on her bedside table.

“Five! But I have some bad news, you’re not going to like.” She started, frowning for what she had to say next.

“What?” Thelma was fully awake and sitting on the side of the bed. Caron closed her eyes to draw strength.

“I’m not feeling well at all. I haven’t been able to sleep all night. It’s just bad for me. I can’t go to the show with you today. I wouldn’t be able to enjoy it!” She rattle on. Thelma drew in a deep breath and blew it out.

“Oh man, Caron! That sucks!” Thelma sounded concerned. Caron breath freely.

“I’m sorry Thelma. I have know idea what’s wrong with me. I think I’m going to see a doctor today. Maybe he can tell me what is going on. Is there someone who could go with you? I don’t want you there by yourself!” Caron said strongly half looking into the phone.

“No need to apologize. You’re sick, you’re sick. I saw it firsthand. I wouldn’t feel right if I dragged you out and you passed out again. Yeah, I can asked Jake!” She told her.

“Okay good!” Caron sounded relieved, this was curious to Thelma.

“And since I can’t go back to sleep. I might as well get his butt up now. I’ll come by on our way back to check in on you. Love you, bye!” She said to her.

“Love you too, bye and take care!” Caron hung up the phone, with a sharp pain shooting through her body. Something was off.

Part 8

Caron sat on the edge of the bed. Trying to gather herself from this awful feeling. She lifted her feet into the bed, resting her head on the pillow. She could see the house growing brighter from the sunrise. Maybe she could get some sleep in the day. She closed her eyes, trying to relax her body. She was right, she was sleep before she knew it.

It was almost time for the house show to began. He entered the control booth at everyone’s dismay. He could sense their fear of him, he didn’t care. It only fueled his dark side. They never knew what he was going to do next. So they sat nervously, waiting for his command.

“Scan the inside of the arena!” His deep voice ordered. Without a second thought, he could see the monitor going up one side of the audience and down the other side. He watched closely, trying to pick her out. He saw her friend enter with a man. But no signs of Caron!

She wouldn’t dare turn down an invitation to a show. But when they took the seats reserved for the two women, a low growl rumbled through his chest. The crewmen froze in terror. They knew he was angry about something, but didn’t dare ask. He quietly turned and walked out of the control room. Everyone let out a big breath, hoping he wouldn’t return for the night or ever would be preferred.

He walked through the hallway, with an expression on his face that caused everyone to look away as he passed them by. Hoping whoever he was angry with, wasn’t them. He came to a door labeled Vince McMahon. He didn’t bother to knock, he pushed the door open with ease.

Vince looked up to see the menacing man coming through his door and towards him. And from his face, he wasn’t a very happy camper. Vince sat back in his chair, eyes large.

“She didn’t come, Vince! Now you know what that means!” He snarled. Pressing his knuckles on the desk and leaning on it. Nearly in Vince’s face. Vince sat there nervous.

“Wait one minute! I did my part! I gave them the tickets and got the information you wanted.” Vince came back, leaving his chair and standing closer to the wall. Undertaker rose to his full height and glared at him.

“But she didn’t come!” He repeated, his voice low and calm. Vince looked around the room, as if searching for a solution to defuse this situation.

“Look! It doesn’t matter!” Vince began to grin. Undertaker looked at him with raised eyebrows, arms folded across his chest.

“What?” Undertaker asked, becoming more irritated by the second.

“Here me out!“ Vince began. Undertaker felt he could hold on to his patience, which was few and far between. For a minute longer.

“You got one minute!“ He informed Vince.

“Look! You have everything you need. Her name, address and phone number!” A smile etched across Vince’s face, as he watched Undertaker digest this reminder. He began stroking his beard, turning away from Vince.

‘Yeah that was right.’ He thought.

“You’re right! But it would have been much easier, the way I had planned it. Now I have to do something I hadn’t planned. Something that she’ll regret!” He was speaking mainly to himself. Vince’s smile slowly shrunk form his face. He didn’t like the sound of that last part.

“What? What are you going to do?” He asked, not really wanting to know. And yet he did. Undertaker turned his head in Vince’s direction

“It’ doesn’t concern you. And don’t worry, I’ll keep my end of the bargain.” He told him, making his way to the door. Vince swallowed hard. Then sat down in his chair, feeling his legs buckling under him. He watched Undertaker disappear out the door, slamming it behind him. A picture almost feel off the wall. He wondered how much more of this he could take or if his goal was really worth it all.

At that same moment, Caron sat in her easy chair reading a book. She had fell back to sleep after talking with Thelma! She looked up at the clock, the show was just beginning. Her eyes fell back on the page, when she heard a crashing sound.

She jumped to her feet, as her nerves were still on edge. Then walked in the direction of the noise. A picture had fell off the wall. It was one of her and Thelma. She picked it up and stared at it. Something shot fear through her heart. Thelma’s picture seemed to be faded out. She gently sat the picture down and walked away, thinking. Then!

‘You’ll be sorry!’ The voice boomed into her mind, she grasped both sides of her head, trying to get block out the voice.

“Stop it! Stop!” She screamed. As quickly as it came, it left. She began to breath deeply through her mouth. She felt as if her heart was going to break through her chest. She sturdy herself, regaining her composure. What did this mean? She thought.

“Why are you doing this to me?” She screamed looking up to the ceiling, as if the answer would come. She flopped back into her chair, burying her face in her hand. How can she fight something she didn’t understand? She began to cry.

Part 9

The show ended, Thelma and Jake began to exit the arena with the rest of the crowd. She was so excited. She couldn’t wait to get home and tell Caron all about her experience of the night. Undertaker had come in as usual. He had a match with the Big Show. But before that and after his entrance, he had come to the side of the ring where she sat. Then he smiled at her, she felt electricity flow through her body. She jumped to her feet and waved at him. He then turned and walked away. That was priceless, she thought.

As they made their journey home, they were discussing the different matches and how they felt it should have went. Jake decided he wanted some water, but his bottle was emptied. Without warning, he unbuckled his seat belt. He turned around in his seat and began hunting for more.

“Jake sit down! You’re get me a ticket! Let me park the car!” Thelma hollered at him. She didn’t want a cop seeing him.

She turned from looking at him and to pull over to the side. She gasped. Before her was a figure standing in the road, right in front of her. Panicking, she turned the steering wheel to miss it. The car swerved off the road, tumbling over and over. Finally, coming to stop on its side. The figure turned towards the car, staring. Then walked away, pleased.

But another had witness the accident. He came from the brush, pulling the young people from the wreckage. One was alive, one was dead. That sadden him. He looked up to the road, sensing someone coming and fearing the other had returned. But instead, he saw a car slowly coming to a stop and people emerging from it. He back stepped from the area, leaving them in capable hands.

Caron jumped to her feet, something very bad had happened. She didn’t know how she knew, but she did. She began to pace the floor. Her eyes fell on the clock once again. Thelma and Jake should be on their way home from the show. Then the phone rung. She nearly jumped out of her skin, pulled from her thoughts. She knew then something had happened to Thelma. She snatched the phone up!

“Hello!” She said softly, eyes closed and bracing herself for the news. Thelma’s Mother was on the other end. Just as she thought. Thelma had been in an accident on her way home.

“I’ll be right there!“ She told her and hung up the phone. She grabbed her purse and jacket. Then rushed from the house.

Caron raced through the hospital, searching for Thelma’s Mother. She found her in the ER. She ran up to her and took her in her arms. She was like a mother to her. They held each other tightly, crying. Then Caron pulled her away and looked her in the eye.

“How is she?” She asked. Thelma’s Mother looked at her, then turned and took a couple of steps. She couldn’t bare to look her in the face when she told her the news.

“She very bad, Caron! The doctor says she made never come out of the coma. And if she did, she would be partly brain damaged.” She started crying. Caron walked up behind her and pulled her into her, wrapping her arms around her neck.

“Yes, she will. And she will be as good as new. If I know Thelma!” She said gently. Thelma’s Mother, raised her hands and patted those of Caron’s. They stood for a while, comforting each other. The Doctor came around the corner, both pairs of eyes fell on him at the same time.

“Hi! I’m Dr. Ramis!” He extended his hand to them. They shook it and looked at him with great fear. He smiled.

“She has cranium swelling. We’re not too concern with that, it should slowly drain. But the broken ribs are a great concern. One is pressing against her lung and may puncture it if we don‘t do surgery. Both legs and left arm are broken. She’s lucky to be alive. Right now sorry to say. She’s remains in a coma and we don’t know when she’ll come out of it.” He explained. Caron held Mona, Thelma’s mother tightly as she cried.

“So what will need to be done?” She asked, trying to fight back the tears.

“Well, when we get one of you to sign a surgery release order, we’ll repair what we can. And pray for the rest.” He said honestly. Caron appreciated it.

They went to room where she laid lifeless. The tear fell from Caron’s eyes. Somehow deep inside, she felt as if this was all her fault. She turned and ran into the night, leaving Mona alone at Thelma’s bedside. She stood thinking.

“That should have been me lying there or somewhere in a morgue as Jake. Why didn’t I warned them? No she would have thought I was going crazy. And then maybe I am. Just maybe.” Caron sat on one of the cold benches in front of the hospital. Staring into the darkness. She pulled her coat around her, attempting to warm herself. It was a strange breeze flowing.

Suddenly a chill passed through her. She felt as if she was being watched. Her eyes roamed the premises, searching for the place from which it originated. But couldn’t pinpoint it. He was just too much of an chameleon. Yet, she could feel him out there gloating.

She stood to her feet, feeling alarmed and slowly backed into the hospital. Never taking her eyes from the dark. There was definitely danger in it.

“Whoever you are! No this thing to be true. You have picked the wrong people to screw over. You will pay. I promise. And I always keep my promises.” She whispered, knowing they would hear anyway. The doors of the hospital slid open and she entered quickly.

He moved out of the shadows. Staring long and hard, as the young woman disappear down the hallways. She had made a challenge to him. Something within told him this will not be an easy one. Even maybe his undoing. But never the less, he had to have her. And that he will, no matter what the price. He backed into the shadows, vanishing as quickly as he had come.

Part 10

Mona and Caron sat in the waiting room for the surgery to be over. It seemed like forever. They looked up and saw the doctor coming. Both hit the floor simultaneously. Caron went to meet him, Mona at her side.

“She came through well. But the swelling on her brain remains. We don’t want to take chances with trying to do anything more. So we’ll wait and see if it drains itself. Other than that all we can do is watch her closely.” He told them. They both breathe a sigh of relief. She was still alive and that was an plus.

“Can we see her?” Mona asked.

“She’s in the recovery room right now, then she’ll be taking to ICU. There you can visit with her. Take care.” He said, then walked back to check on Thelma. Caron watched as he turned the corner and then looked over to Mona.

“I have something I need to do. Will you be alright?” She asked. Mona looked confused. What could be more important then being here to see after Thelma? First she darts out of the room disappearing for a while, not this. Not to mention her bailing out on Thelma with the house show. Now when she’s needed the most, she’s leaving. After all, Thelma has always been there for Caron, even during that difficult time in her life.

“Go!” She said and abruptly turned and walked over to the a seat in the waiting room. Caron felt a pain shoot through her heart.

“I have to do this, Mona! Then I’ll be back!” She turned to face her. The woman looked in Caron’s eyes and saw something there. Something unexplainable. Something she had witness before. She just hoped it wasn’t happening again.

“You be careful!” She told her, knowing there wasn’t much else to say. Caron nodded and walked away.

Caron walked own the hall in search of the place that she felt would give her the greatest comfort. And help her to hold on to her sanity. Because right now she wasn’t sure if it was coming or going. With all that has happened. To everyone else this was just an accident. But she knew better. And the worst part, she couldn’t tell anyone. Or else they would think it was happening again.

She followed the direction of one of the personnel she has asked for directions from. She turned the corner of the corridor and right in front of her was the place. Her refuge. She slowly walked up to the door and stood there for a moment. It has been a long time since she had done this, but Thelma was in trouble and need whatever help that she could get. She latched on to the door knob and pulled the door open. Stepping into the place and embrace the serenity that flowed from it.

She walked down the aisle and came to the pew directly in front of the chapel. Then moved into it and knelt, hands clasped together. She looked up into the sky at nothing in particular and began saying a prayer for both Thelma and Jake’s family.

“I’m sorry about your friends.” The voice surrounded her. She turned to look around, but the huge hand gently touched her shoulder. Then she knew not to.

“Kane! Are you the one who keeps stalking me?” She asked.

“No, not stalking. Watching.“ He answered.

“So it’s the Undertaker behind all of this. You two really do possess powers. It‘s not a work after all.” She said.

“I was the one who pulled your friends from the wreckage. Sorry about the young man. He was dead before I could get to them.” He evaded her revelation.

“You pulled them free? You’re trying to help? Your brother did this to my friends. You don’t have to answer. I know the answer. But why?” She was getting hysterical. Kane squeezed her shoulder gently. She felt a calm come over her.

“He wants you for himself.“ Kane informed her. She turned against his wishes, to stared at the masked wonder. But the pew was empty. Just like that he was gone. She caught a deep breath. She sat down and cradle her head in her hands. She was loosing it. How long will she be able to keep from slipping back? She said a pray and rose up. One for Thelma and one for herself. She was going to need it. Then slowly, she walked back to be with Mona and Thelma.

Undertaker sat in his chair behind his desk. He was waiting for the Acoyltes. He needed to send them on a mission. One he knew them more than capable to carry out. He heard their footsteps coming towards him. He looked up as they entered the room. They walked up to his huge desk and stood waiting for their orders.

“I need you to bring my brother to me. Only you two can persuade him.“ He told them, smiling deviously. They returned the smile, then looked at each other. Bradshaw, slapped Farooq’s chest and they left quickly.

Then a familiar voice could be heard outside of his office. Coming closer. His eyes narrowed as he waited for the person to make their way in. He lead back comfortably as the figure made his way into the room, coming straight up to his desk.

“He contacted her again yesterday.” Paul Bearer revealed. Undertaker just looked at him. His thoughts deep. He’s the father of his brother. Yet, he stand before him giving him vital information on his son. Betraying him every chance he gets.

“Let’s get this understood, Paul. There is no love lost between us. I just keep you around for my amusement.” Undertaker’s voice was low and calm. This information didn’t sit well with Paul. But his fear of Undertaker was greater than him trying to betray him as he had done his son, Kane. He has learned all too well how vengeful Undertaker can be.

“Okay! I understand. But you know you like the information I provide you. It’s always useful. No one pays attention to me anyways. So it’s easy.” Paul’s shrill voice lit up the room. he was nervous, letting him know he was more of an access than amusement. That was more value. Because amusement sons wears out. Undertaker rolled his eyes to the air trying to block the sound out.

“Suit yourself , Paul. Whatever helps you get through this life. But understand another thing. If you ever hurt my brother again, your usefulness will expire. Am I clear?” Undertaker warned. He then stood to his feet and coming from behind his desk, towered over Paul. Paul shrivel up in fear, nodding his head.

“Sure, sure! I understand!” His voice a much higher octave then ever. Then he slowly backed away from the menacing man. Finally making it to the door, quickly ran through, making his escape. He stood outside, holding his chest. Trying to clam his heart beat and catch his breath. Then he looked over his shoulder, back to Undertaker’s office.

“You will pay for all you have done to me, Undertaker! Right when you least expect it!” His face twisted up as he scurried away.

Part 11

The next morning Caron woke, finding herself crouched in a chair. Her eyes roamed the room, trying to place her whereabouts. Then she remembered everything that had happened the night before. Thelma had went to the WWF/E house show by invitation of Vince McMahon. Due to her passing out at the end of the show, about the time Undertaker stared towards her. The dream of dead people groping her and this strange voice, not once but twice. Stranger occurrences began to happen. Someone in the shower, touching her body. Kane coming to see and warn her.

She gut feeling. Premonition if you want to call it, that something was going to happen to her. She couldn’t tell anyone. Their first reactions would go back to a bad time in her life. Now she wish she had said something. Anything would have been better than the death of Jake and Thelma lying in a coma.

Her eyes fell on the bed were Mona slept next to her daughter. They had waited most of the night, before she had came out of the recovery room. They took her to ICU, Mona and Caron accompanying her. They watched her closely until both of them drifted off to sleep.

She quietly stretched out her arms and legs, trying not to disturb Mona. Her extremities were coming to life as the blood flowed freely through her body. She stood to her feet and walked over to the two resting, smiling at them. They had been the family to her since her mother’s death, some years ago. if. Mona stirred, she was awake and her eyes opened and locked in on Caron.

“Good morning! You sleep okay in that chair?” She whispered, slowly adjusted herself in bed, trying not to wake Thelma. If that was possible, she still in a deep coma.

“Good morning! Yeah, a little. But I’ll be glad to be back in my own bed.” Caron said, now stretching her arms above her head. Getting the muscles to relax.

“Well that should be tonight. While you were out, I got a call from my doctor and made arrangements to have Thelma transferred to a private hospital closer to home. He affiliates this particular one and says it’s the best for the condition Thelma is in. He was able to consul with the Dr. Ramis.” She began to explain, her eyes washing over her slumbering daughter. Caron breath in and slowly let it go. Guilt is all she could feel at this time.

“And if she’s going to be out for who knows how long. I would want her near me. I can make the trips back and forth, not to mention stay if I wanted.” Mona sighed and ran the back of her hand down Thelma’s face. This was going to be very hard on everyone concerned. Caron thought. Not to mention Jake’s funeral when it was planned.

WOW! What a crazy few days. And she couldn’t tell what really was going on or people would think she was going back.

Thelma was released and transferred as planned, to a beautiful private hospital in their hometown. Mona’s doctor was waiting on them when they got there. Caron stay around long enough to see that Thelma was taken to her room and everything settled. She gave Mona a hug and kiss, telling her she would be back that evening after taking care of some business. Mona nodded and sent her on her way. Seeing She was mentally and physically exhausted. She was going to do the same as soon as she had finished up there.

Caron went home and was greeted happily by her cats. She fed and gave them clean water. Then she made herself some herbal tea and sat down in her easy chair, retracing the events of the past few days and what it all meant. Then her mind settled on what Kane had told her.

“He wants you.” But why? She thought. It wasn’t long before her eyes grew heavy.

“You will be mine!” She heard, as she passed out.

Kane sat in the office, waiting for his brother’s return. He had come along with the Acolytes out of pure curiosity. The two men stood at either side of the door, less he changed his mind and made an attempt to escape. Kane smirked under the guise of his mask. If he choose, nothing they could do would stop his leaving.

They all waited, each in their own thoughts for Undertaker. Which wasn’t long. The wind began to swell outside, blowing the glass double doors open. A blue mist flowed into the room, marking the entrance of the Undertaker. Kane stared from behind his mask, which shield his facial expressions. He watched as his brother entered the room, the doors creaking shut behind him.

The mist backed away from him, evaporating with the wave of his hand. He undid the ties of his cloak and shed it abruptly. It had served its purpose. His eyes roamed the room, until they fell on his brother Kane. He looked over to the Acolytes, nodding his head for them to leave. They turned and went out the door, leaving the two brothers.

“Hello Little Brother!” Undertaker said cordially. Kane tilted his head to the side.

“I hear you’ve been butting your nose into things that don’t concern you!” Undertaker sat down in is chair and stared blankly at his brother.

“Anything you do, Big Brother. Concerns me! And I don’t need to ask, who informed you. Now do I?” He said. Undertaker couldn’t see behind the mask, but he knew the expression. If he were Paul, he would steer clear of Kane for a long time. If not ever.

“No, that you don’t!” He replied, inhaling and letting it out slowly. Confirming the betrayal of Kane’s father, Paul Bearer. He leaned back in his chair and began to contemplate a plan to get Kane out of the way long enough to get the girl.

Kane’s head went slightly up, then back down. Staring and reading his brother. It’s been a long time since these two had battle wits. He was ready for the challenge. In fact he hungered for it. Little did Undertaker know, his brother was slowly slipping back into the dark side.

Part 12

Caron slept peacefully. She was waken by the phone ringing. Not again, she thought. She lazily shifted in her chair and rose from it, going to catch the phone before it stopped. She was half sleep when she put the receiver to her ears and said “Hello!”

“Caron?” The voice shocked her fully awake.

“Edward?” She called back. It was her brother who she hadn’t heard from since. Well, since that time.

“Yes, how are you doing, lil’ sis?” He had some concerned in his voice. They were so close, neither could fool the other.

“Not so good, Edward. It’s Thelma. She was in an accident a yesterday. She’s in a coma.” She began to cry.

“I’m so sorry. I know how close you two are. Is there anything I can do?” He asked her. She wanted to say yes, come home please. But she knew he had his own obligations.

“No! Just hearing your voice is enough. I love you so much.” She slid down the wall and came to rest on the floor. Her legs were just to weak for everything that was going on.

“You don’t sound well, Caron! What else is going on?” He asked. She closed her eyes and slowly took in deep breaths, trying to convince her brother everything is okay.

“Nothing Edward. Nothing at all. Just afraid Thelma isn’t coming out of this.” She finally broke. Her brother listen from the other end, as she cried. He grew tensed, not able to be there for her. Every since there Mother had gone, she has grown weaker mentally. He feared for her sanity. Only he knew how to help her.

“I’m coming there!” He told her. She let out her last sob and gather herself. He can’t come here, he’ll be in danger. Undertaker must never know she has a brother.

“No Edward! No!” She jumped to her feet, yelling hysterically in the phone. He sensed her losing it.

“CARON! Calm down!” He yelled back from his side. She began to pace around the kitchen, pulling the phone extension.

“Listen to me! I’m not crazy! I’m not slipping back! Just don’t come right now! Please for once do as I ask!” She sobbed.

“Okay Caron! I will listen to you!” He told her. She gripped the phone in her hands, relieved to hear him say that.

“Thank you Edward! I love you so much. I couldn’t bear to lose you two!” She said calmly, through sniffles.

“There, there Caron! You won’t be losing me! And you haven’t lost Mother!” He told her. She straighten up and stared into the phone.

“What do you mean, I haven’t lost Mother? Yeah, I did!” She corrected him.

“No what I meant is, she’s always with us. She a part of us, like we’re a part of her. That can of connection can transcend anything. Even death!” He consoled her.

She felt her body coming to a complete relaxed state, she pulled a chair from her breakfast table and eased down into it. Yes, his voice had this magical way of soothing her fears. It was his voice that helped her through that bad time in her life.

“Better? Yes, you are! I can feel it! Good! Now you get some rest and don’t worry about a thing. It’s all in control!” He told her. And the way he said the last, gave her confidents everything would be okay.

“Thanks Ed! I love you . How is Desmond?” She asked.

“She’s find! We’re expecting. That was anther reason I call. You’re going to be a Aunt.” He told her. Caron flew to her feet, happier than she has been for the last few days.

“Congratulations! My brother going to be a Father! That is so great!” She felt the tears forming. Something good for once.

“Now let me know how you really feel!” He laughed on the other end. She began to laugh, letting everything that has happen wash out of her mind. If not for this moment in time.

“Tell D’ I said take care of my little nephew and herself.” She told him.

“I will and you do the same. Take care of yourself that is. It’s going to be alright. Trust me on this!” He said. And somehow she knew he was right. He always is.

“Love ya!” She said.

“Love ya too! See ya!” He told her. He never like the word goodbye. It was too final. He thought. Caron said goodbye and hung up the phone.

“How was she?” Desmond asked her husband as he hung up the phone. He had this far away look on his face. Then he turned to his wife, taking her in his arms, holding her tight.

“Not well! Something or someone is bothering her as I had suspected. I could feel her torment. Her friend Thelma was in some car accident and lies in a coma.” He explained to his wife.

“Thelma is a good friend. I hope she will come through.” She leaned her head into Edward’s chest.

“She will! You have everything packed?” He asked, still holding her for dear life. She nodded her head.

“Good! I’ll take you there and go get my sister. She can’t remain there are she will be lost.!” Edward told his wife. Then he released her and walked over to the window, staring into space.

“Darkness Falls! Enshrouding the earth. We mustn’t waste anymore time. Let’s go now!” He looked back at his wife and moved towards the packed suitcases. They left the house that had been their home for sometime.

Part 13

Undertaker stood outside his room, on his balcony. Something was stirring within him all day. As a fore warning of something. He closed his eyes and allow his senses to run free. Yes, there was definitely something afoot. A power surged was felt, causing a shift in the universe.

This one had been dormant for sometime now. But he couldn’t get into their mind. It was closed to him. He couldn’t determined this one’s power. Or whether friend or foe. Only that he was not able to pinpoint their whereabouts. This concerned him.

He opened his eyes and looked into the skies, as they began to darken. Night was falling. And he had a mission. Turning away, he made his way into his chambers and sat before the fireplace. Every since he knew of her existence, he had to have her. He didn’t know why, just knew he had to. Maybe because she was like the forbidden fruit. Enticing, knowing it will lead to your demise.

“I’m through with these mind games. I will have her in MY bed on this very night.” He rose quickly from his chair and rushed over to the long cord, pulling on it. He will be paying a little visit to someone very special.

Caron thought about the call from her brother, Edward. She hoped he listened and didn’t come to see about her. If Undertaker knew of him, no telling what would happened. She sat curled up in her chair, head leaning back. It had been a while since any paranormal or mind things, she thought. But knew it would come. Just then her doorbell rung, causing her to jump nearly out of her seat.

She gingerly rose from the chair and walked over to the window, staring out to see who was there. It was a tall slender woman, middle aged. Granny glasses, raven hair with hints of gray on each side. It was pulled up into a bun. She had on this long black dress and a knitted shawl pulled around her shoulders. She looked innocent enough, she thought. She went to the door.

“Yes?” She called.

“Hello, my name is Joan!” She responded. Caron’s brows crinkled. She pulled the door open.

“Hello may I help you?” Caron asked, hesitantly. The woman hooked a finger in her glasses and slightly pulled them down, to get a good look at Caron.

“Yes you may! God you look so much like her!” She said. Caron shifted on one foot to the other, staring blankly at the woman. The woman half smiled and laughed, shaking her head from one side to the other. She realized the confusion on Caron’s face.

“I was a friend of your mother’s. I had been out of town for sometime and just heard the news of her death.” She explained. Caron felt her heart jumped, being reminded of that time in her past.

“Oh Honey, are you are right?” She asked, Caron was turning pale and looked as if she would pass out. Joan rushed to her and escorted her into the house. And assisted her into the chair.

“Now you sit hear. You look like all the blood has left your body. And not to mention like you haven’t slept in days!” Joan began to ramble. Caron was just trying to gather herself.

“You knew my mother?” Caron asked, still trying to regain her composure.

“Yes! Since childhood. We went to the same private schools. We were from the same place.” She seemed to reminiscent. Caron felt a calm come over her, as the woman‘s voice flowed through the room. Her eyes, now that Caron was looking straight at them. Had the strangest color. Almost like......but no. That couldn’t be, she thought.

“Let me go make some tea. I found it very relaxing to sit and sip tea. Makes things so much clearer. Don’t you think?“ She stared into Caron’s eyes, almost through her. Caron nodded her head and watched her pull her shawl off and fling it on the couch, going into the kitchen. She moved about in it as if she knew the place. Caron pulled her legs up to her chest and leaned into the chair. She watched Joan in the kitchen. She seemed familiar, but Caron couldn‘t put her finger on it. Maybe she knew her from before her problem.

Joan brought the tea to Caron, snapping her out of her thoughts. Caron thanked her and took a quick sip. It was good, she thought. But why didn‘t hers taste like this? Caron sat the tea down on the table next to her chair, then she looked up at Joan. She had taken a seat on the couch and was sipping her tea too.

“You said you were out of town when my mother died.” Caron retraced what the woman had told her. She took the cup from her lips, not looking at Caron. She stared into the cup for sometime before answering. Caron took this as if she was trying to sort out the right words to say.

“Yes, my dear. I was far away. In a place unreachable. I just returned home a few days ago and heard of her death. I knew I had to come here and see your brother and you. Which reminds me. Where is he?” She asked, looking about the house. Caron straightened up in the chair, alarmed this could be another one of Undertaker’s tricks.

Paul Bearer pulled up to his home, parking his car. He had been sent on a mission. Investigate Caron. The information he gathered, would prove to be interesting indeed. He smiled deviously. Undertaker will be pleased. He grabbed the huge envelope from the passenger seat and got out of his car, then walked up his walkway to his house. Entering the house, he tossed the envelope on his desk and headed for the kitchen. He needed some nourishment before phoning Undertaker. He just purely scared him, no matter what.

He came back to his desk and took a seat, with beer and sandwich in his hands. He sat down in the chair behind the desk and pulled the contents out of the envelope. He wanted to go over it one more time to decipher what he would keep for a later date and what he will reveal to Undertaker now. He knew his time will be up soon, so he needed a little extra leverage.

Paul was so engross with what he was doing, he never saw the figure sitting across the room watching his every move. Until.

“Mr. Paul Bearer, I presume.” The voice flowed across to him. Paul jumped from his chair, falling backwards, nearly tripping over the chair. He braced himself up against the wall, clutching his heart. His eyes grew wider as the figure rose from the couch and stalked towards him.

“What do you want?” Paul shrilled. The person said nothing, coming to stand in front of the desk and staring down at Paul cowering in the corner.

“You!” He answered, then turned and walked around the desk to a screaming Paul.

Part 14

Caron stared over at Joan. Some woman who dropped by unexpectedly, claiming to have known her mother. She seemed innocent enough and not to mention the calming feeling that flowed from her. But the mention of her brother set off her alarms. What if this was a trick by Undertaker? What if he had already discovered she had a brother and wanted to know his whereabouts?

“Why are you asking about my brother?” Caron rested her feet onto the floor. Joan looked over towards her with some concerned.

“Caron honey. What is going on? I just told you I can by to check on my best friend’s children.” Joan sat her cup of tea on the coffee table in front of her. her tone made Caron recheck her question.

“I’m sorry. Naturally you would know of my brother.” She stood to her feet and walked over to the window. Night was falling. At one time she had loved the night, but not lately. With it comes things. Things she didn’t want any part of.

“Caron! What is wrong honey? !” Joan rose from her seat and came up behind Caron.

“It’s just......never mind!” Caron continued to staring outside as the dark began to overshadow the earth.

“Tell me please! I can see that you are troubled!” Joan insisted. Caron turned from the dusk outside and walked towards the kitchen, standing there thinking.

“My best friend was in a bad accident recently. She’s in a coma and they don’t know when she will come out of it. I’m just upset, that’s all.” She said, staring down at her fingers. Joan walked over to her and placed gentle hands on her shoulders.

“I’m so sorry. I know how it feels to lose a friend.” She said sadly. Caron felt that pain and turned to look into her eyes. There she saw a depth no one could reach. This somehow freaked her out but gave her a sense of security.

“Yeah, you would. Wouldn’t you?” She looked at her and realized she was a friend. Joan fought back the tears, not wanting to upset Caron.

“Do you live far from here?” Caron asked and walked over to sit down. Joan took her place on the couch.

“Yeah I do! Which reminds me, I better get a start back.” She reached for her shawl.

“No! It is dark out! Look! Edward’s room has been empty for sometime now. He’s married now and expecting a child.” Caron looked over to Joan, feeling free to give her that information on him.

“Oh My! Little Ed married and going to be a father!” She said joyously. Caron stared hard. No one knew he was called that as a child but her mother and her. She had to be close to her mother to know this.

“You know Edward’s nickname.” Caron said to her. Joan smiled and chuckled.

“Yeah, but when he got older, he hated it.” She replied. Caron felt a smile cross her face.

“Yes, he did!” She giggled. She hadn’t had much to laugh about for the last few days, but Joan had brought a ray of hope to the situation.

“So will you stay for a while? That is if you don‘t have anywhere to go.” Caron asked.

“I guess I can clear out a few days in my busy schedule. I’ll be delighted to stay.” She told Caron. Caron jumped from her chair and gave Joan an unforeseen hug. Joan wrapped her arms about her and held her tightly, closing her eyes and taking this moment in.

Undertaker stalked around his chamber, waiting for Paul Bearer’s returned. He had told him that he was on to something, something that he would be pleased with. He said he would get back with him tonight.

Well, its night and where is he? Undertaker thought. This information may prove useful in convincing Caron to come with him. He’ll be making an visit to her later on. But he needed the information. There came a knock at his door.

“Come!” He yelled, staring at the door. Entered the Acolytes, Mideon and Viscera.

“It seems Paul is missing. Mideon, you and Viscera go to his home and drag him here if you have to. I hope he isn’t planning on turning on me anytime soon.” Undertaker had a extra edge to his voice. The Acolytes looked over to the other two as they left the room. Then their attentions came back to Undertaker. He stared at them, then turned away and looked out the balcony door into the night.

“You two are my most trusted servants. So I will let you in on this one thing. There is another out there with powers. I’m not sure how great the power is that they possess, but I can’t lock in on Paul! So that should tell you what we’re up against.” he turned to stare at them. The looked from him at tow each other, then back to him. The three stood silently in the room as the atmosphere outside thickened.

Part 15

Paul emerged from the dark that had claimed him. He could feel that he was sitting in a hard stone chair, his extremities bound by leather straps. His eyes slowly opened to a pitched black room. His panic set in, it was moist and clammy. He struggled in vain to free himself. This wasn’t good, he thought. Not good at all.

“Help! Help! Let me out of here!” He yelled to the top of his voice. Undertaker will think he was betraying him. he’ll have to run for his life. But where? He’ll hunt him down like the dog he was.

“Let me go! You don’t understand! Please, my life depends on it!” He pleaded. Undertaker will send the Acolytes. They are ruthless and loyal to Undertaker. They never fail.

“Wait! Maybe he’s already sent them. They’ll find me here, wherever I am. Then he’ll know, I didn’t turn on him. This time!” Paul said to himself. Why hadn’t Undertaker sought him out with his senses?

“Your Master has no the power he think! He will not find you here!” The voice came from the shadows. Paul strained to adjust his eyes to seek out the figure.

“What do you want with me?” Paul yelled. He thought he heard some movement. Then a light illuminated the room, chasing the dark out of the room. Paul instantly shut his eyes. The light filled his dilated pupils, stinging them.

“You are the source I need against your Master. You see, you are the weakest link!” The man walked over to him stooping to stare him in the face. Paul shook his head vigorously. he knew either way this went, he was going to DIE!

“Sorry sir! Paul wasn’t at his place.” Mideon informed Undertaker. Undertaker sat before the fire, staring into the flames. He had expected as much.

“What would you like for us to d?” Viscera asked.

“Nothing! Tell the Acolytes the plan is set.” He told them, never looking up. The looked at each other and slowly backed out of the room. They were confused how calmly he sat there after knowing Paul was nowhere to be found. They met the Acolytes and relayed the message from Undertaker.

Undertaker concentrated on the flames. He would let nothing or no one stand in his way. He will go to Caron and have her. That he will not be denied. He will deal with the other later. he rose from his chair and gather his cloak. And left his room, meeting the Acolytes outside.

Caron had set Joan up in Edward’s room. She took a long lingering bath and went to bed. She was relaxing, when she thought she heard a man screaming for help. She got out of her bed and looked out the window, seeing nothing. She listened for a moment, but heard nothing else. So she went back to bed. She fell off to sleep, as soon as her head hit the pillow.

He moved from the shadows and walked over to her, gazing upon the sleeping beauty that will be his alone. He slowly removed his cloak from his shoulders and bent down to her, placing a kiss on his lips. He breathe in her scent, it was elating.

She stirred slightly. He watched motionless. Seeing she had settled down, ran his hand down the side of her face. He was falling for her and this was something he hadn’t planned on. All he wanted to have her as his sex slave, to please him in every way.

When he saw her standing there, he sensed something different about her. He had the limo driver to pause in front of the crowd, so he could get a good look at her. But she ran away. He watched her find refuge under a tree, clearly sick. That’s when he felt she could feel his powers and resisted them.

He gently pulled back the covers off her and placed his arms underneath her. He slowly lifted her off the bed and turned to carry her off. Caron’s eyes flew opened, staring into his green orbs. She let out a shrilling scream. A shearing pain shot threw his head. Undertaker dropped her on the bed, grabbing his head. He fell to his knees trying to shake the pain.

The Acolytes were outside her room, when they heard her. They rushed in and saw Undertaker grasping his head on the floor. They immediately ran to his side and helped him to his feet. Joan stood at the door in shock. Undertaker’s eyes fell on her. She took a step backwards, staring at him. The three men rushed pass her and out of the house, to a waiting limo. Joan ran to the door and closed it. She leaned against it, trying to catch her breath. Caron came out of her room, looking at Joan.

“Who were those men?” Joan asked Caron. Caron eyes darted around the room, trying to gather her senses.

“I don’t know!” She lied. Joan gave her a long look.

“I think you do. I’m going to call the police. They were trying to kidnap you. What happened in there?” She ranted, picking up the phone. Caron was at her side in less than a second.

“NO! You can’t do that!” She snatched the phone from Joan’s hand. Joan looked at Caron bewildered.

“What are you doing, girl? Those men tried to take you!” Her voice louder than Caron had ever heard it.

“We can’t call the police. You don’t know what is at stake here.” Caron pleaded. Joan took in a deep breath and walked away from Caron. She stood for a moment slowly letting it out, then turned to look at a Caron shivering.

“Maybe you should tell. I’ll get your slippers and robe.” Joan said and walked pass Caron. She didn’t look at Joan. She was too busy trying to figure out what happened in there. She wasn’t sure herself. She should be in that limo being taken away, yet he dropped her and seemed to be in pain.

She didn’t want to involved Joan in all of this as she didn’t want Edward involved. But then she’s already is. And it’s more than right for her to know what is going on, for her own protection.

Part 16

“You don’t understand, I can’t tell you anything. I’m just a lowly pun in his game.” Paul whined. The man walked back and forth in front of him, reading the information Paul had gather on Caron. He was trying his best to ignoring the annoying voice.

“No Mr. Paul Bearer! You are a very intricate part of all that he is. You were with him from the beginning until you turned on him. And I suspect you will again. After all, you turned on your own son!” He said, not looking up to the facial expressions racing across Paul’s face.

“No not so! My son turned away from me first.” Paul began to explain.

“Even though you know you are over your head, you still try to con me.!” The man laughed.

“No really, he did. I took care of him all these years after his brother tried to kill the whole family. He succeeded in killing his mother and father in a fire. But I took my son and kept good care of him.” Paul argued. The man at this point stop reading and turned to Paul. He was interested in the story. Maybe Paul will unwittingly, spill some information he could use.

“Okay Mr. Bearer! I’ll listen to what you have to say.” He sat Indian style on the floor in front of Paul.

“Thank you. I don’t want it to be thought I am a bad parent. Because I’m not!” Paul’s pitched jump a couple of notches.

“No I don’t think that at all. It’s just that you’re doing things to hurt him and I wondered why?” He said to Paul.

“After the fire, I took my son away and hide him form his brother. I knew if he knew that Kane was alive he would kill him. When I knew Kane was strong enough to fight his brother, I brought him to where Undertaker would be. But later he turned on me, choosing to align himself with his brother.” Paul’s voice had a sad ring to it.

“Interesting. But tell me about Undertaker and maybe I can help both your son and you.” He stood to his feet and looked down at Paul. Paul then realized there was something familiar about this person. He tried to search his mind for answers.

“You are trying to figure out who I am. You think you know me. But you don’t so rest your mind.” He told Paul.

“You are like Undertaker, probing into other people’s minds.” Paul snapped, then looked away from the man.

“Though I can enter minds, I don’t unless it’s necessary. And with you, it is.” He explained to Paul.

“Necessary! What do you mean necessary?” Paul looked confused.

“There is a young woman. This young woman. that you are putting in danger. And that will not happened.” The man raised the folder to Paul.

“I was only doing what I was told to do. WAIT! Now I know who you are.” Paul said excitedly as the lights came on.

“Mr. Bearer, you may have figured that out. But it still doesn’t alter the fact you are here with me and I hold the cards. I know the day will come when you will betray Undertaker once again. So it might as well come sooner than later. Especially since I need that betrayal now. He has already attempted to snatch her and failed.” Paul’s eyes darted up to him.

“How would you know that standing here with me all this time? Oh yeah, you read minds. So did Undertaker and you talk to each other with the minds?” Paul sneered. The man came to stand directly in front of Paul. Then stooped down.

“Listen to me well, Sir! Help me and I will protect you. Don’t and I will not only make your life a living hell. But I will allow him to do whatever he so pleases to you.” He warned Paul. Paul’s eyes grew larger than life, as he contemplated being between a rock and a hard place.

Undertaker stumped into his house and went straight for his den. He headed for the bar and grabbed a glass, pouring himself a hardy drink. He gulped it down in one shot. The Acolytes followed him and stood watching.

“You okay?” Bradshaw asked. His eyes locked on him and glared.

“No I am not alright. I got such a power surged that ripped through my brain. Her scream did it. Somehow she has this earth shattering shrill. Almost like a banshee.” Then Undertaker paused for a moment. His he tilted from one side to the other, trying to remember something. Then it came to him.

“That woman with her. Bring her to me. I think there’s something we need to talk abut.” Undertaker looked over to the two men. They nodded and left the room. Undertaker shook his head trying to get the residue of the shock out of his head. He gulped down the last of his drink.

“I may have stumbled onto something here and more than I had bargain for. There’s more to this young woman than I had first suspected. Paul, if you have betrayed me yet another time. I will destroy you.” Undertaker went out into his garden, waiting for the return of the Acolytes with the woman at Caron’s house.

Part 17

Caron sat in her chair, blanket wrapped about her. She watched as Joan moved around in the kitchen, preparing them some hot tea. She was trying to format the events of the pass few days and how to present them to Joan so as not to sound as if she was slipping back. Back! That word haunts her everyday existence for the last three years. Every since the death of her mother.

“Here you go honey.” Joan’s voice snapping her out of the deep thoughts that had possessed her.

“Thank you.” She replied, taking the mug from Joan. Joan went to sit on the couch, crossing her leg over the other, back straight as a board. Caron though how nice her posture, too perfect went through her head. Joan took a quick glance over towards her, one eyebrow raised. As if she had read her mind. Caron shifted uncomfortably.

“Now tell me everything. And please don’t leave anything out.” She sat the mug on the coffee table in front of her, eyes fixed on Caron.

“Let’s see. How do I began this nightmare.” Caron started, looking around the room searching for a start point.

“Try the beginning.” Joan insisted. Caron rested her hands on her lap, holding the mug. Yeah, she thought. That sounds like a good idea.

“Back when my Mother died. I was in the hospital for sometime. It really freaked me out. I can’t remember that day or anything before it.” Caron took a long breath, remembering coming out of the hospital, only remembering people. But events in the past or shall we say the day of her mother’s death, had fled her memory.

“You were present when she died, right?” Joan inquired. Caron took a sip of the tea, then nodded her head.

“So they tell me.” She stared into the tea. Joan sat back into the couch, watching Caron.

“Teresa was. No is a big wrestling fan.” Caron began to smile. Joan listen intensely.

“There was this wrestler she was crazy about. The Undertaker.” Caron eyes locked in on Joan’s.

“Let me guess. The one who was here with the two goons.” Joan injected.

“Yeah!” Caron rose from the chair, shedding the blanket. The tea had warmed her and was having an unusual affect on her.

“So get back to the hospital and not remembering your mother’s death.” Joan steered the conversation back to the beginning. Caron took another sip of the tea, slowly walking about the room.

“When I came home, I went to stay with Teresa and her mother. Edward felt it would be better if I wasn’t here for a while. He visit daily. That’s when I got interested in wrestling. it seemed to take my mind away form my problems. I too grew fond of Undertaker.” Caron mind drifted once again.

“That sounds innocent enough. Finding something to make you forget. But you do know to remember that day will began your healing. Until then, you’re still sick.” Joan implanted. Caron looked at her. The words cutting like a sword. She was right.

Paul Bearer sat on the hard stone chair he had been strapped to, wondering when Undertaker will find him and what will be the outcome. He had spilled everything he knew about Undertaker to the man.

What choice did he have?

If he had been with Undertaker, he would did the same. He didn’t want to did or worst become a mindless slave to either one of these witches.

Wait! Kane! Maybe he would link in on his whereabouts and come rescue him.

“I don’t think your Son will be of any use to you.” The voice slowly descended the stairs. Wow! Paul thought. He is good. Almost as good as.........

“Undertaker? Sorry, I’m better!” He interrupted Paul’s thoughts once again.

“What...what was that you said about my son?” Paul shrugged off the craziness. He had seen enough dealing with Undertaker.

“I said he will be of no use to you.” The man repeated himself coming to stand in front of Paul.

“How would you know what my son will and won’t do? After all, blood is thicker than water!” Paul’s shrill voice filled the dungeon. The man said not another word, he just stepped from in front of Paul, allowing him full view. Paul eyes grew as large as saucers.

“Hello Father!” Kane stood, arms crossed over his chest. The man smiled and looked over to Kane, who responded likewise. Then they both turned their eyes on a speechless Paul.

Part 18

Caron finish telling Joan about the events of the last few days, leading up to tonight. Joan listen and digested everything. Caron began to feel weird, as if she had been drugged. The room was spinning around her. She felt as if she was falling. Falling into darkness.

Joan sprung to her feet like a cat, catching Caron as she fell backwards. Joan lifted her up into her arms with great ease, carrying her into the bed room. She gently laid Caron onto the bed, covering. Then Joan took a seat next to her, rubbing the side of her face with the back of her hand.

“Sleep my dear and dream. Dream to remember the past you want to forget. For with that past, you will be able to fend off the dark One who seeks to control you.” She whispered to her.

“Listen to my voice as I guide you to a place in the past. A happy time.” Joan’s voice was soft and low, filling Caron’s mind.

“Yesssss!” Caron responded.

“What do you see?” She asked. Caron stirred in the bed. Joan placed her hand over her Caron’s. She grew still.

“It’s so dark here.” She said.

“Keep going, allow your senses to guide you through the darkness.” Joan told her.

“Wait! I see a small light ahead.” She said. Her face formed into a expression as if she was straining to see something.

“Keep going my Dear. Keep going. You‘re almost there.” She whispered, then grew quiet.

Then something crashed from the other room.

Joan’s head snapped around, hearing the noise. She rose and slowly made her way to the door, to shut and lock it. She felt she knew who it was on the other side. They had come back. But she could hear them moving around in her room.

It is she they were after this time. She looked over towards a slumbering Caron. She made a decision. It would be better to allow herself to be taken. If things went as planned, her captivity wouldn’t be that long. Besides, she could see that Caron was drifting into a deeper sleep, one that would take her back.

Joan exited Caron’s room, staring at her one last time. Then she opened the door to her room and nonchalantly entered it. She was met with someone grabbing her and covering her mouth with a handkerchief. The smell was overwhelming, as she succumbed.

Part 19

“What are you doing here?” Paul squealed at Kane. Kane stood silently, arms across his chest. The man was seemed to be preoccupied with something. He was facing away from them. From what Paul could see, he was sensing something. He would know, he’s seen Undertaker and Kane do this a million times.

“What is it?” Paul yelled at the man. Paul looked over and saw Kane doing the same as the man. Then he turned to Kane.

“You sense it too.” The man said. Kane nodded his head, looking over to him.

“What you warlocks? What is it? Undertaker? Is he coming for me? You two will be in big trouble now. And YOU Kane most of all. It will be good to see you finally get yours.” Paul rambled one.

“SILENCE!” The man turned on Paul. He shriveled up like a rotten fruit, face all contorted. Then the man turned to Kane.

“You have any idea what’s going on?” He asked Kane.

“Only that something is happening unfamiliar to me. I sense you do.” Kane told him. The man nodded.

“Something good for a change. I never expected it though. But somehow it is happening. Soon we will have a worthy ally.” He turned away from Kane and Paul, going to sit in a corner. He closed his eyes and began to meditate.

“My Brother is up to something.” Kane said.

“Yes! He has someone.” He replied.

“Do you know this one?” Kane inquired.

“Yes!” He answered.

“Should I go help them?” Kane asked.

“No! They’ll be alright. All we need to do now, is wait.” His eyes glowed from the dark corner of the dungeon.

Paul thought he saw his eyes form like those of an Tiger, but closed his eyes shaking off the illusion. Then opening them to see the man had closed his eyes. Kane moved against the wall, standing quietly. He could fill the atmosphere outside changing.

Chap 20 (new)

Bradshaw and Farooq carried Joan into Undertaker’s office and gently laid her on the couch. She was out to the world. A blue mist slowly swirled into the room from outside. Both men moved back towards the door and waited.

A form stood in the mist as it began to vanish. The Undertaker, eyes white and hands raised at his side, commanded the mist to leave. It exited the room as it had entered. His eyes rolled forward, exposing the green orbs.

He looked first at his two faithful henchmen, then over to the woman lying peacefully on his couch. He turned towards her, walking over and stood gazing down on the motionless form. A smile slightly etched across his face. This one will give him the information he needed to make Caron his dark bride. She has powers she knows nothing about. That he was sure. Or else she would have used them.

“But you will never be able to do that. Mr. Undertaker!” The voice rose to his ear. He snapped out of his thoughts, looking down to the wide awake Joan.

“I thought you two ether her?” He growled at the men. Bradshaw and Farooq began to mumble explanations. They were as surprised as he. They gave her enough to knock out Big Show! He silenced them with a wave of his hand.

“Leave us!” He commanded, never looking at them. Joan and him were having a huge stare down. The two men left as ordered, relieved they won‘t be the object at the end of his fury.

“Now little Lady! You’re going to give me what I want willingly or by force. Makes me no difference!” He said kneeling down to look her straight in the eyes. She smiles, it was beginning.

Caron felt herself walking through darkness so thick you could slice it with a knife. She couldn’t feel Joan’s presence any longer. But felt as if she was in some trouble. How she knew, she had no idea.

Her eyes tried to search for some type of life. She didn’t know where she was going, but something was drawing her towards the light. She went with the flow. It grew bigger with each step she made. Until it was a huge opening in front of her. She was indecisive if she should go through it. Te decision was made for her, as she was pulled into it.

A huge room formed around her. She spun around and around, as it formed. Then she stopped and stood in the mist of the beautiful room. It was furnished from the Medieval times. And as strange as it seemed. The room seemed familiar.

She walked over to the huge canopy bed, with the thick dark drapes hanging around it. Covered with matching heavy quilt and pillows thrown about. Yes, she knew this place, as she ran her hand over the soft material. Then she turned and made her way over to the vanity, covered with very expense perfumes, colognes and feminine accessories. All her favorites.

She continued on to the huge fireplace not lit. Two chair and a small table between them were place in front of it. Something played in her mind as if a memory of a lit fireplace and someone played in her mind.

A soft breeze flowed in the room, which brought her attention to the double glass doors, leading out to a balcony. She cautiously walked towards it, to see what was this place she had come to be.

She stepped through the double doors and out onto the balcony. Her mind couldn’t register what her eyes were showing her, as they looked out over the most beautiful scenery she had ever seen in her life.

The majestic mountains, dark and green, set the background. Rising high like a fortress surrounding this grand land. A little village sat under them just outside the humongous walls, encircle what seem like a inner city. That’s when she realized she was in a great castle. And the inner city was the courtyard.

“What is this place?” She whispered, as a huge black bird flying over her head screeched.

“You are very arrogant for a person in your position.” Undertaker rose to his feet and glared down at Joan.

“No confident!” She replied. His nose snared and eyes blazed. She was getting on all his nerves.

Without warning, he pounced on her. Grabbing her by the throat and lifted her up. Her feet dangling in the air. She gasped for air. Hang in there, she thought to herself. Just a little while longer.

“The one my brother has, life force is slowly fading. Shouldn’t we to their aide?” Kane came out of his trance and stared over to the hidden in the dark corner.

“No! We all have to make sacrifices to every cause. We stay put!” He slowly emerged from the corner.

Paul thought he saw him floating. He closed his eyes and hook it off. His mind playing tricks on him. Why wouldn’t it. He was in the presence of and man who was as dangerous as both his Son and the Undertaker.

“As you say!” Kane replied and went back into his deep thought. The man walked over to Paul, staring down upon him.

“What?” Paul looked up to the menacing creature.

“When this is all over, things will never be the same for you.” He predicted. Paul looked at him so strangely. What did he mean? Paul thought.

“Oh yes! It all begins!” The man said and his eyes became the glow they had before. Paul let out a little yelp and prayed.

Caron felt strange. Even though she hadn’t never seen this place before, she knew it. She knew this was just a dream, but it was so real. So vivid. She could feel things and smell too.

This was spooking her out. She wanted to wake up and get back to her real life. Then her head snapped around to the double doors. She thought she heard voices coming from the outside.

Yes, definitely voices. They were growing louder, coming towards the room she was in. She darted to the wall and stood against it, hiding herself. The door opened and whoever it was entered the room.

It was two voices. Women! They were talking and laughing playfully. One voice sounded very familiar. They talked a while longer and moved about the room as they did. She hoped they wouldn’t come out and discover her.

Then the door opened and everything grew silent again. She sighed a relief. She cautiously moved away from the wall and peeked around the curtains and into the room. It was empty once again.

She crept inside and searched the room to make sure it was vacant. That’s when she noticed the beautiful white dress and veil on the bed. A Bridal gown. Someone was getting married.

Suddenly the door flew open, as a beautiful dark young woman rushed into the room. She had forgotten something. She came to a abrupt halt as the two women stood staring at each other, for what seemed like a eternity. Caron was the first to break the silence.

“No! No, this can’t be!” She said, closing her eyes and rubbing them. She opened them once again and stared at the other woman. It was like staring in the mirror. Except for the clothing, they were identical.

Chapter 21

Caron came face to face with the young woman. She couldn’t believe what her eyes were relaying to her brains. She was staring into the face of an replica of herself. The young woman smiled at her, not at all confused.

“I knew you were here! I sensed your presence. I didn’t want to startle you though.” The young woman said to her, walking around her staring her from head to toe.

“Who are you?” She asked. The woman smiled, reaching out to her. Caron back away.

“Don’t be afraid! You know I wouldn’t hurt you. I’ve been waiting for you for so long.” She continued. Caron turned and walked away, trying to think this through.

“It’s only a dream. I need to wake up! Like Now!” She screamed.

“Caron! It doesn’t help to continue to fight your destiny.” She walked slowly towards her. Caron stared at her panicking.

“How did you know my name?” She yelled at her. The other smiled.

“You know mine too. You just refuse to accept what is real and what isn’t. When you do, you will be complete. But please do hurry. We don’t have much time.” She told her. Caron went to say something, then a name flowed through her head.

“Mystique! Your name is Mystique?” She stood dazed in the middle of the room.

“Yes! What else are you remembering?” She had come to stand by Caron without her realizing it. Caron’s head snapped to stare at the dark, brown-eyed beauty in the face. She seemed calm.

“We are one in the same!” Caron said softly. The young woman nodded and smiled.

“Yes, were are. Now we are complete. Mystique and Caron, as one!” She said and moved through Caron without warning, merging. A flash of light knocked Caron back, then darkness engulfed her.

Undertaker held Joan in mid air. Then seeing she was almost spent, released her. Her half conscious body dropped to the floor with a hard thud. Undertaker smirked at the arrogant bitch. Then he turned and walked away from her and around to sit at his desk.

“Are you ready to give me what I want?” He asked, looking over to the place he had left her. She rose like a phoenix for the fire, staring at him with great defiance.

“No, but someone else will give you just what you deserve. My job here has expired. Have an unpleasant life! DeadMan!” She said and vanished before his eyes. He jumped to his feet, eyes like high beams and ran to the spot she had been.

“Acolytes!” He yelled. The door burst open, as the two men gushed into the room, hearing the distress in his voice. They searched the room.

“Where did she go?” Bradshaw asked. Undertaker looked up and around. Outside the elements, where shifting. Something was a foot. He didn’t like this at all. A new and different power had formed.

“It is time!” The man said, looking over to Kane.

“Yes, I sense their is another power that has been born.” Kane became one with the elements.

“No! Reborn!” He replied to Kane, who nodded. Paul looked from Kane to the other confused.

Caron shot up in a sitting position in her bed, her eyes slowly parting. Her head moved from side to side, searching the room. No, searching the universe. This was a strange place to her. Stranger than the one she had once lived. Yet, for some reason she knew this place. It had been the place she had abided for all these years.

The memories of her past and present collided in her brain. So much she had forgotten and so much to retain. She felt as if her head would exploded. She grasped her head between her hands and let out a silent yell. The very foundation of the house shook.

Taker jumped from his chair, closing his eyes. He searched the world with his mind, feeling. No, hearing something that would have sent chills through his soul. If he had one. The Acolytes looked at him puzzled, then to each other. He was in the deepest trance they had ever seen him go.

“Someone very powerful has come into the world. I can’t place where they are. They are as the other. Yet, I sense they are equal to or greater than.” His eyes flew opened and looked to the two. They looked to each other, wondering what did this mean, since they could see some uncertainty in his voice.

‘Someone else will give you just what you deserve.’ The words of the woman who had vanished before his eyes, replayed in his mind.

Could this be a new entity that has come to challenge him? He turned and went to the double doors that led to his garden. Slowly opening and passing through them, disappeared from the two men sight. They stood emotionless.

“It is time to go now.” The man said walking away from Kane and Paul, moving up the stairs.

“Good luck in your quest, Edward!” Kane said, watching him ascended the stairs.

“And yours my friend.” Edward said to Kane, opening and closing the cellar door. Kane then turned his attention to his father.

“Why do you look at me like that, Son?” He asked Kane. He didn’t answer Paul. He just moved towards him menacingly. Paul shook his head, getting hysterical.

“No, no!” He yelled. Outside the house Paul’s voice rung through the Edward’s ears. He paused for a moment and smiled, as Paul’s screams can to an abrupt halt. Turned away from the house, moving on to his destination.

Caron moved from the bed, looking about the room. This she knew this place very well. And now she knew everything. She walked out of her bedroom and went from room to room, taking in and remembering well where, her home she had lived as Caron.

She went into the room Joan had occupied, picking up the scent of the two who abducted her. As she moved through it. Yet, she didn’t feel Joan’s presence no longer in this realm. She had gone back. Caron smiled.

She left the room and started towards the living room, coming to the chair she loved to sit and think. She closed her eyes and became one with this room. It the place she remembered first, when her memories had be extracted from her. She remembered being sent here by her mother, due to her breakdown. It was necessary. She had grown out of control when her fiancee was taken from her.

It had been her wedding day. And should have been the most happiest day of her life. Bt fate wouldn’t allow that. He was ambushed en route to their wedding and never heard form again. She grew distraught by the day. She became dark. She moved form her mother’s palace and into her own and began to terrorized the countryside with her bansheelike powers.

Her mother and brother had no choice. The met and decided there was a place she could be sent, until she healed. The over powered her, sending her to this place to mend in body, mind and soul. Her brother and his wife were to accompany her until that day.

A family was picked out for her. They were filled with false memories of knowing her for years and experiencing what had been planted in her head. Her mind shifted to the two women who had become an important part of her life. And to the friend who lay fighting for her life.

“Teresa!” She said softly. She quickly put on her jacket and ran out the door to see how her friend was coming along. She didn’t get pass closing the door and turning, when she came face to face with someone standing silently behind her.

“Edward!” She said, staring at her brother. He smiled at her.

“Mystique?” He asked. She looked in his eye for a long time, face without any expression. Then she smiled.

“Yes, Mystique.” She nodded her head. They both turned side to side and walked over to her car, going to see and mend a broken friend.

Chapter 22

Taker walked through his garden his favorite place to be whenever things troubled him. He came to the quiet stream that flowed through the mist of it. He sat down on a marble bench at its side. He stared into the water at a face he had know all his life, yet hadn’t. As far back as he could remember.

It’s like six years is as far back as he could remember. He was found on the roadside, wandering. Not knowing who he was or where he came. A fleet of buses were passing by. They stopped to assist him. That’s when he became the Undertaker and never looked back. The past life he had, no longer existed for him.

He hadn’t always been this dark Undertaker. Everything was going well, until he was buried alive and reborn as a walking dead, void of feelings. The Urn Paul Bearer carried encased his soul. Whoever held that, held him.

But that soon changed when he realized it didn’t have as much power over him as first thought. He never died, it was just a state of mind he had developed to protect him from those close to him and would betray him. As both Paul and Kane had done in the past.

He later became the enforcer. The conscious of the company. Whenever Vince wanted to punished someone, he would call him out to teach them a lesson. And that he did. That didn’t last long either. Vince became a bigger backstabber than both Paul and Kane put together.

Something happened that would change him. He discovered something. The theatrics were no longer that. He had unknown powers he tapped in one day, wishing he could do some of what the special effects was able to do. He was commanding a pencil to levitate, playing around. He had been drinking and his common sense was right out the door.

But when the pencil actually began to float in the air, he jumped away from the table in disbelief. Thinking he was like the person who swore he saw a pink elephant walking. So once sober, he tried it again. It worked.

Secretly, he would practiced until he had it perfected. It never let a living soul know of his powers until Paul caught him one day. He threaten him with his life if he told anyone. That worked for a minute, until Kane came along with powers that equaled him.

Kane was brought in as his half brother, son to Paul. Everyone thought this was a work, but somehow he knew Kane was that in reality. How? He still hadn’t been able to get pass that void in his life. He has this sneaky feeling Kane knows more than he has let on.

With all this power, the madness set in. He became dark! That’s when he convinced Vince to allow him to become the Lord of Darkness. He formed the Ministry of Darkness. They were fine until Vince made himself the Higher Power and formed the Corporate/Ministry. He’s growing tired of the battles within the sanction.

He rose from his seat and moved closer to the water. There his eyes saw a figure. A woman he could barely make out. His heart would skip a beat each time he would peer into the water and the woman would beckon to him. Then she would disappear, leaving him alone. He backed away, shaking the feelings swelling up inside. This is the only time the tenderness in him would overcome the harshness that had taken him over.

He looked around, feeling something foreboding. Paul Bearer was nowhere to be found. He needed to get his group together. They had to be prepared for things to come. He made his way back to his house.

Caron and Edward walked down the hallway of the hospital, towards Teresa’s room. It was late and not much going on at this time of night. Very few staff could be found. Caron looked to Edward as the came to the room the sought. She pressed it lightly, peering in. Edward continued down the hall, making sure no one interrupt what must be done.

Caron quietly slipped into the room. She stood silently in the dark, eyes cutting through it like a knife, taking in every person and object. Mona, Teresa’s mom. Slept in the bed next to her daughter. Caron whispered a few choice words. Mona will not be waking until the morning light.

Caron moved so softly, it was as if she floated over to the bed Teresa laid, bruised and broken. She bent over her friend, taking in her motionless body and all the tubes running from it.

“You have been the dearest friend. They chose well, when they chose your Mother and you. Now I will repay that kindness.” She told her, running her hand over Teresa’s body and expelling the injuries she had sustained from the accident.

“Now for the finally task. And the most difficult.” She said, staring down at her friend. She rubbed Teresa’s hair back from her forehead and placed a light kiss.

In the morning Teresa will defy logic, being injury free and once near death, ready to go home. She will not remember her friend known as Caron, or if she had ever had a friend. All she will know is her and a dear friend were coming home from a wrestling show and got into an accident, resulting in his death and her injuries.

Caron met Edward in the hallway. Both left the hospital as they had come, unnoticed. They walked over to Caron’s car and left this part of her life behind. Ready to resume the old one she had forgotten some time back.

“I’m going to bed now and rest. There’s a show tomorrow night. I will set forth my plan then. Good night, see you in the morning.” Caron told her brother, turned and went into her bedroom, leaving him sitting in the kitchen, drinking a cup of coffee. He would stay up and watch. He didn’t want any surprises.

Chapter 23

Undertaker had to get up early for the trip to the show for the night. He wanted to get there early, he had a meeting with Vince. He didn’t want his Ministry to be apart of his stupid Corporate. It was confusing. He was a leader not a follower and he didn’t like his orders being over ruled by anyone.

He sat in the back of the limo as they cruised down the highway. He hadn’t sense Paul Bearer anywhere. It was as if he had fell off the side of the earth. And now that he thought about it, he hadn’t heard or seen his brother either. He was up to something, he knew it. But what? He thought to himself.

Soon they drove up to the arena and made their way down through the underground garage. The driver opened the door for him. Undertaker stepped out of the limo and looked around. Once out he made his way through the backstage of the arena, coming to Vince’s office. He paused there for a while. This was not going to be good.

Vince’s voice emitted from the other side. Undertaker entered the room with authority. He was going to have it his way or the highway. He looked around surprise Vince had the camera crew set up in his office. Undertaker stopped in the midst and looking around, then turned to stare Vince down.

“So this is how it’s going to be?” Undertaker half smiling. Vinces head began to shae in that way as a smirk formed over his face.

“You called it, I didn’t!” He stood to his feet and chest out, feeling he had the upper hand, moved around the desk towards Undertaker.

“I figure maybe a few months off would do you some good. You have been working nonstop, even with injuries. What we’re going to do is: I have told you, you have a match tonight. You refused. I tell you if you don’t do the match, you’re suspended. You tell me neither or you going to do the match, but you’re leaving for the night. Then I announce you’re suspended. Indefinitely!” Vince walks away from Undertaker, proud he has gotten one up on the Deadman. A thought flows through Undertaker’s head.

“Okay Vince! You’re right as usual. I have been feeling a little tired lately. A little R&R may do the trick. But why don’t we do this live promo. I think it will have a better impact.” He looked over at Vince who was giving some last minute instructions. Vince’s head turned towards him and Undertaker could tell by the expression on his face, the live promo was a sealed deal. He laughed within.

“Yeah! That’s a great idea. I don’t worry about you and live promos, you’re the best.” Vince went back to doing what he was doing. Undertaker sat down and waited for his cue. Vince had a surprise coming.

The show started and each match played out as scripted. A spot was shown with Undertaker walking into the arena and a big announcement that was going to be made. The fans could be heard cheering for the Undertaker as he moved through the backstage.

More matches and then the promo director informed Vince and Undertaker that there time was up after the commercial. Undertaker and Vince came to their feet and stood where the were instructed, each taking a last glimpse at the papers in front of them.

JR and King announced that a promo was done earlier pertaining to an altercation between Vince McMahon and Undertaker. The director held up and fingers to cue them in on when the camera was rolling. He quickly counted down as he brought one finger after another down, then pointed to them. Then were on!

“Undertaker for the last few weeks you haven’t earned your well paid salary. But tonight that all changes. Tonight you will be in a match!“ Vince began. Undertaker took his cue.

“No Vince, I won’t be competing in a match tonight. It’s my night off.” He responded. Vince faked getting upset.

“If you don’t compete tonight, then I will suspend you.” Vince right on cue. Undertaker walked right up into Vince’s face, chest moving in and out.

“Well Vince, not only am I not going to wrestle tonight. I don’t have to work for this company at all.” He shocked Vince, turned and walked out of the office. The director immediately signaled to the cameraman to shut it down.

Vince ran after the Undertaker trying to reason with him. Undertaker was moving steadily towards the garage. He never acknowledge Vince at his side or his rambling. He felt freer than he had for sometime.

Yet, a forebode played in the back of his mind. Vince was the least of his worries.

Vince seeing his mind had been made up, stopped and watched him continue on. He turned and walked back to his office to issue the statement Undertaker was put on suspension indefinitely.

Undertaker watched as his limo pulled up. he didn’t wait for his driver, he opened the door to the backseat and flowed into the car. He leaned his head back and felt the car move away from the arena. He closed his eyes, making plans for Caron. She will be his. A small mist slowly emitted from two small holes on each door of the back. Undertaker was out like a baby.

Vince was sitting in his office, thinking about how Undertaker had once again out smarted him. Hid head snapped up when a knock came at his door. He told them to come in. He hoped this was important as he had to figure out how to get Undertaker back.

“Yeah, what do you want?” He asked as the Mideon stepped into the room, looking around as if he was searching for something.

“Oh! I thought Undertaker was in here. I pulled up and waited for him. I went to his dressing room, but it looked as if he hadn’t used it.” Mideon explained. Vince felt this wrenching feeling in his guts.

“No he isn’t here. He left like thirty minutes ago. Wait!” He said and made a phone call. He froze, setting the phone back in the cradle, staring into space.

“I think we have a problem. His limo picked him up nearly an half hour ago. Are you sure he isn‘t at his hotel room?” Vince looked to Mideon, who pulled out his cell phone and made a call. He snapped it closed and stared blankly at Vince.

“I spoke to the Acolytes. He never made it there. He always let them know where he’s going.” Mideon explained. Vince rose and began to pace. Undertaker is missing. But who and why would they take him?

Undertaker felt himself slipping out of darkness. Only to open his eyes to a dimly lighted room. He knew he was seated on a hard cold concrete chair. A chain was wrapped around him, binding him to the chair.

“So you awake?” The voice came from the shadows. It sounded familiar, but different somehow. Older and wiser.

“You must be really afraid of me to drug me then bind me?” His eyes try to adjust to see his captor.

“No, not at all. But you have to be stop. Your power has been a curse instead of a blessing.” They continued. Undertaker jerked his body, thinking his strength could pull the chains loose.

“No need to struggle. Those chains aren’t ordinary. They are magick.” They explained. Undertaker could see movement from in front of him. A figure was emerging form the shadows. He stiffened when he recognized them.

“You?” He asked stunned.

“Yes and no!” They answered, coming into full view.

“Caron!” He called to her. She smiled and continued towards him.

“No! Caron no more. Mystique forever!” She said, hooking his chin with her tiny finger and tilting his head back to see into her eyes.

Mystique! He thought. Why did that name ring a bell in his sub conscious?

“I lift the curse of power from you! A dream shall rule in your mind, heart and soul! Lord of Darkness no longer shall you be. But a man throughout eternity!” Her eyes glowed and her white mist rose from the ground, shrouding them from the world.

“Noooooooo!” Undertaker’s voice rose and went out. The Acolytes jumped to there feet, staring at each other. Something happened, but they had no idea what. They looked around the place, wondering what they were doing there.

“Come on man, let’s go get some beer!” Bradshaw’s chest Farooq slapped.

“Sounds good to me. Dayum! Do you know who lives here?” Farooq asked, as they left the mansion. Bradshaw shook his head and closed the door behind them.

Mideon was stepping out of the huge limo when he looked up and saw the Acolytes walking down the path from the mansion. He didn’t asked one question. He looked at them pass him by and followed them. They were headed for a night out. One over due.

Gangrel, Edge and Christian headed into the night to reform the Brood. They had missed their freedom to prey on the unsuspected. They really didn’t remember why they had stopped. Only that someone more powerful then themselves had an hold on them that was somehow now broken.

“They Dark Ministry has now been disband.” Edward turned to his sister. She walked up to him, adorned in her long white dressed. Low cut and sleeveless. A beautiful ruby sat at the base of her throat. With matching long earrings that nearly touched her shoulders. Her raven hair pulled up and back into a French roll.

“Yes, but the vampires cult the Brood is set free.” She reminded him. Edward looked to his sister.

“Never mind those upstarts. I will tend to them. In the near future they will also get this urge to separate. The two brothers will tire of the blood thirst and want to become like ‘regular folks’ as they say.” He turned to face her. She looked up at him, happy to have him on her side.

“And Paul Bearer! I think he is the one to watch.” She told her brother.

“He’s not a problem. He as you say has had a attitude adjustment. Courtesy of his son. Ironic, since he is the one who made Kane to be a monster.” Edward smiled. His sister nodded her approval.

“Well, I guess it’s time to go. You seem to have everything under control.” She turned and walked away, taking one last look at the house she had thought was her home. And yet had been. Edward walked up to her and turned her to face him.

“Go now Mystique. Resume your past life. This was only a time of mending. And that you have.” He said to her. She half smiled. He could see something in her eyes that told him, she hadn’t fully healed. Something still troubled her.

“What is it, my dear sister?” He asked. She looked away and sighed.

“My fiancee! Whatever happened to him? And why can’t I reach out to his essence?” She asked. It was Edwards turn to look away.

“I’m sorry my sister. I don’t know. Nor why I’m not allow to help you. I guess it’s better that we leave it alone.” He looked back at her. She stared in his eyes. She hide what she felt, seeing in his eyes an answer to a question. She will let it go for now. But later she will find out why the one she trusted above all, would lie to her.

Nearly a year later................Judgment Day!

In the ring a gang banging was going on. The fans were on their feet. The promo of the little girls played out. His music hit and lights dim. The long awaited return of the Undertaker had finally arrive.

But instead of their Undertaker walking through the ring. Someone on a motorcycle sped down to the ring. They stood stun. It wasn’t until he got off the bike and entered the ring kick ass, that they realize who he was.

He stood in the ring, bandana wrapped around his head, long black leather trench coat and boots. Denim shirt and jeans. This was not the old Undertaker. Instead the birth of a new one. The American Badass. Just ‘regular folks.’
