Chapter One

It had been a long day. He needed to unwind. He left the arena head to a local bar. A good beer with a JD sounded real good at this moment. He rode on his Harley as the wind blew through his hair. Gee, that feels good. He thought. Nothing like sitting on your bike breezing down the highway, soaring like a bird above the ground. He could’ve travel all night. And will after he stop for his drink.

He walked in the smoke filled bar. Looked around at the clientele. Went over to the bar and order a drink. As he leaned on the bar waiting, he noticed over in a corner of the bar, a couple of guys were arm wrestling. In the next room there were three pool tables, and there seemed to be a tournament going. The bar was noisy with music playing, some couples dancing. Everyone seemed to be having a nice time.

His thoughts were interrupted by the bartender handing him his drink. He paid and tipped him. He went over to a table and sat down to relax. His body was aching from the nights events. He took a couple of swigs of his drink. And continue scanning the bar.

That’s when he noticed her standing near the bar, watching him. He returned her stare, as he assessed her body. She seeing how he was giving her the once over, decided to come over to him. She had noticed him as he entered the bar. She thought he was a very sizable man, and also handsome.

She was turned on from the moment she saw him. She could tell he wasn’t from these parts. She slowly swayed towards him as she walked, coming to a stop at his table. He gave her the once over, again.

Seeing her up close and personal. She was attractive, with a little too much make-up. She was about 5’9" and very slender. Her hair was long and blonde, hanging loosely over her shoulders. She was a little pale, with ruby red lips. Her eye shadow was right out of Elvira’s make-up case, which hid her bluish-green eyes. She was dressed in a white halter top, with black leather skirt and jacket. She wore fish-net stockings with spiked black heels.

She waited for him to offer her a seat. He nodded his head towards the chair, as he gave it a gentle shove with his foot. She sat. Never once taking her eyes off him. She was liking what she saw before her. He was a fine specimen of a man.

She figured he stood nearly seven feet tall. His hair was combed back into a braid, with a bandana on his head. He wore all black. Shirt, jeans and boots. With a long leather jacket. But what caught her the most was his eyes. Deep green, that seem to seduce.

She wanted him badly. He watched as she gave him the look over. Knowing what she wanted. Its what they always wanted. Because of his size, they lusted after him. To see how good he was in bed. Only leaving him unfulfilled.

"Hello, stranger. My name is Ruby. Come with me, and I can make your fantasies come true." She said in a low sensual voice.

She stood, leaned across the table, brushed his lips gently with her tongue and beckoned for him to follow her. He finished the last of his drink and followed her out the bar, watching the way she moved her hips. Exciting him by the moment.

She took him to her room, over the bar. It wasn’t very big, But cleaned. There was two doors to the room, one to the outside and the other to the bathroom. The room they stood in served as the living room and bedroom combined.

She wasted no time before she began to take his clothes off kissing him in various parts of his body. This aroused him more. She then removed her clothing, went to the bed and patted the place next to her. He slowly walked over to the bed, standing before her.

She looked at him and admired his assets. As she began to caress him. He begin to think about a person always in his dreams. She was so beautiful. He thought of her silky soft skin under his touch.

How she gently ran her hands over his body. Her feathery lips as they send shivers up his spine as they explored his body, finding that right spot that sent his emotions escalating to new heights. And how her mouth latched on to his hungrily as their tongues met each other.
He came out of his thoughts, finding himself lying next to her. The one who brought him home. She laid breathing hard. Any harder and she would be snoring. He thought. He looked at her closely as she slept. Without all her make-up, she didn’t look all that good after all.

It had been another night of animal magnetism. It was always the same. He would have to go to his dream lady, to get through the act. He left her bed, went to shower. They had did all there was needed to be done.

After dressing he walked over to her, as she had awaken. Gave her one long look and left a bill on the nightstand by her bed. He turned and went out the door without a word. She sat up in the bed, taking the bill in her hand gave it a sniff and kiss. Not bad for a thirty minute romp with the big guy. She thought.

She heard him start his bike up, and ride away. Good. He was gone. She showered and dressed. Time to go and pick her next ‘mark‘. She had finish dressing, when she heard the Harley driving up. He must be coming back for more of me. Well now. I won’t have to go out after all. She thought.
There was a knock at her door. She opened it and beckon him in. He took her in his arm, kissing her hungrily. Walking her to the bed with him on top, laid her on the bed. She began to rub his back as he moved his body. He then unlocked their lips. Looking up at her, put his hand to her throat, as he cover her mouth with the other. She would never see morning. He walked out of her room, rode off on his Harley. Leaving a note on her nightstand next to the bill. ’Never make promises you can’t keep.’

Chapter Two

Brenda rushed into the office. Carrying her purse, arms full of paperwork, a donut in her mouth with a cup of coffee in one hand. Running to catch the phone before it stopped ringing. Dropping everything on her desk, reached over the desk whipping the receiver out of the cradle.

"Hello" She hollered into the receiver out of breath.

They had hung up. She slammed the receiver back into the cradle. She walked over to the chair behind her desk and sat down, taking a bite out of the donut and sipping the cup of coffee as she picked up the newspaper and began to read. She looked over the article, about a young woman strangled to death in her room. She was interrupted by a knock at the door.

"Come in, the door isn’t lock." She hollered never looking up from the newspaper. ‘What can I do for you." She said as they entered.

"Well, you can start by having dinner with me tonight." They said causing her to look up from the paper.

"Grant! What are you doing here?" She asked as she left her chair running and jumping in his arms, as he planted a wet one on her lips.

"I’ll do more than that. How long are you going to be in town?" As she slid slowly down his front causing him to give a moan.

She smiled at the affect she had on him. They had grown up in Phoenix, AZ. They had been lovers up until a year ago when she left to come live in New York. They had left on good terms. But every now and then he would try to convince her to come back to him. He loved her very much.

She had been the only woman he had ever felt this way. She didn’t feel the same. This was one of the reasons she left. He was getting to serious, and what he wanted from her she couldn’t give. She loved him but there was something missing. She knew what she wanted, he could never give her.

"I’m here for a day or so. I came in yesterday, to take care of some business." He said as he continue to look at her.

God he missed her. She stood about 5’3". Her dark brown skin was smooth and silky to the touch. She wore her hair cut short reddish-brown, with large brown eyes. She was medium built.

He observed her attire. Very simple but pleasant. She loved T-shirts and blue jeans, with boots. On a occasion she would wear a suede jacket.

She had been a veteran policeman or woman, for four years. She had become tired of the pressures, and came to NY to be a private investigator. And has done very well.

"I know a place we can go to. It’s called WWF New York. You know the wrestling club/restaurant they just opened" Grant was a big wrestling fan. And he hoped she would like to go. "Maybe I can see some of my favorite wrestlers."

"I heard of some new restaurant they had opened, but didn’t know it had anything to do with wrestling. You’re still hooked on that stuff? I could never see what you could get out of seeing men throwing each other around."

"Hey! I got some tickets for tonight. A friend of mine happens to be a wrestler. We met up with each other a couple of years ago. We are from the same hometown, Death Valley. They’re suppose to be in town tonight. I told him I would come see him if I had the time. Come go with me Brenda. And afterwards we can go to the restaurant."

"Okay. Why not. I’ve never been to one before, this will definitely be different."
Grant told her what time he would be picking her up. She went back to reading her paper, as she looked over the murdered woman’s article. She was a woman of the night. But no one deserves to have their life taken away. She hated things like this.

She began to remember why she left the force. It hadn’t been all about Grant, though a lot of it was him. She had came upon the body of a young woman who had been strangled. Her neck was so traumatized.

The man who had done it, had to have been a man of enormous size. It was more than she could take. She never wanted to see anything like that again. She has enjoyed these years in NY. She wouldn’t trade them for anything. She continue to read, when something in the article caught her eye.

Chapter Three

It had been a long grueling day. Autograph sessions. Meetings with the brass. All he wanted was this to be over. He sat in his dressing room, the only time he could get some solitude before the show. A knock at the door broke that.

"What?" He snapped.

"U-h-h-h! Someone to see you, Sir." The voice from the other side said shakily.

He went to the door and swung it open about to send whoever was bothering him away with a thought never to bother him again. The young attendant had fled with the turn of the knob not looking back at what was about to happen to the brave soul he had escorted to the man’s door.

"Wh....?" He stopped as he saw who had come to see him. "Grant! You came after all. It is good to see a friendly face again. Come on end, Man." He closed the door as his friend came in and sat down.

"Hey Mark. How have you been since I last seen you?" Grant gave his friend a friendly hug.

"Okay. You know how it gets when you feel like you’re in a rut." Mark’s voice sounded depressed.
"Look. You are well known, all over the world. And I bet you have the chicks running after you all the time. Man, what I wouldn’t give to be in your shoes." Grant has always been one to give good ‘pep’ talks. And judging by the way his friend looked, he needed one.

"If I had the power. I would grant you wish. It’s not all that it seems." Mark sort of drifted off. Thinking how he would change things.

"Sure. You are going to tell me you can’t get laid anytime you want?" Grant has this idea that getting laid all the time, has its advantages.

"That’s exactly what I’m saying. Anytime. Anywhere. Anyone. That gets old. I wish I had that one special person to come home to after a hard road trip. Just to cuddle up to, knowing when we make love. We will be making love. Not that empty stuff, that leaves you hard and unfeeling." He had began to grow angry with the thought of so many nights he had went through with the act.

"You sure have the blues, man. Hey. I’m bringing my ex-girlfriend with me tonight. You Okay with that." He wanted to know if he wouldn’t mind seeing him with Brenda.

"Sure as long as she doesn’t do that ‘I watch you on TV all the time’ and on and on." He had know problem with his true fans. They had a lot of respect for him. It was the ones who wanted to play these little games. Those he never considered fans.

"Don’t worry. I’ll keep her in line. She’ll act just like she doesn’t know who you are, okay." Grant felt he was going to have a little fun. And maybe bring his friend out of his funk.

"Thanks. Oh! You going to the restaurant afterwards. Most of the wrestlers will be there. Maybe you can get some autographs. See you tonight. " Mark said this jokingly.

"Yeah. Well I got to go pick her up. See you later." The two men shook hands and gave each other a quick hug, Grant left Mark standing there in the doorway, watching his friend leave, he closed the door and went back to his mood.

Brenda had been sitting, thinking about the article she read, concerning the murdered woman in Pittsburgh. Not much usually happens in that town. Maybe its the policewoman in her.

Why did this story had a lingering impression on her? She looked at her watch. It was later than she thought. Grant will be coming to pick her up. She ran out of her office locking it. Jumped in her Bug. Speeded down the streets to her apartment, hoping she didn’t get a ticket.

As she came into her apartment, began to remove her clothing as she headed for the shower. She hadn’t noticed she didn’t lock her door as she entered. Too distracted to follow her usual rituals. She was in the shower, thinking about being with Grant.

She never heard the door being opened to her apartment. As she dried herself off, she walked out of the bathroom, went into her bedroom. She threw the towel on the bed and preceded to search for something to wear. Should she go casual? No. She’s always wearing casual.

How about conservative? No. This was a wrestling show, and dinner afterwards. And anyway she wanted to look good for Grant. Even though they weren’t together, didn’t mean they couldn’t have a little wrestling match of their own afterwards. Maybe sexy. She laughed at that. No one would mistaken her for sexy.

She elected for a mixture. Whatever that could be. She picked out white cotton blouse, that buttons down the front, and decided she would leave the first two unbuttoned, to show some cleavage. A pair of beige jeans, that hung to her figure.

She decided on her brown low heeled ankle boots. She pulled out this one button brown leather jacket, that fitted tight and came down to her waist, just over her hips.

She laughed when she thought about what to do with her hair. Comb it was all she could think about. She had kept it cut to about half a inch from her head, and dyed it reddish-brown with blond highlights. She wanted to keep up with the styles. In one ear she had two holes and the other three. So picking earrings were difficult. As she stood there in her room naked.

"It’s been a long time since I’ve seen that view. And what a nice one at that." She turned quickly reaching for her towel to cover herself. As she stood looking at the person standing in her doorway.

"Grant! You scared me. How did you get in here?" She sat on her bed, as she let out a long breath. Relieved it wasn’t someone else.

"Do you always keep your door unlocked, inviting who knows what?" He had came over to the bed and sat down next to her, putting his arm around her pulling her close to him, seeing she was visibly shaken.

He had already been aroused by her nakedness. She didn’t know he had seen her come out the bathroom. And stood watching her beautiful body, thinking of how good their love making had always been. He could never forget her and the intimacy. He began to rub her arm.

She felt her self calming down and responding to his touch. It had been a long time since she has had anyone in her bed. She took her hand and began to rub his chest. She could feel his hair through the shirt. He groan at her touch. Soft as always.

He took the towel and threw it behind them, and laid her back onto the bed. She looked into his brown eyes, as he lowered his lips to hers, gently flicking them with his tongue. She opened her mouth invitingly. He began to caress her breast, causing her to let out a moan, as she shifted.

She began to unbutton his shirt. He didn’t let her finish before he ripped the buttons loose, throwing the shirt off, and stood up and taking the rest of his clothing off. She smiled at his enthusiasm. She scooted back on the bed, giving him a once over. She has always admired his 6’9" frame and all the other qualities that came along with it.

He looked at her knowingly. Crawling over her and gently lowered his body to hers, began to move slowly as he and her held each other kissing deeply. They had so much time to make up, and so little time to do it in. They began to explore each other’s body so gently, savoring each touch.

When they had reached their plateau. He gave himself to her, as she welcomed him. They made love until they had expended each other. They laid there next to each other as they drifted off to sleep.

Chapter Four

Mark had thought of his visit with Grant. They were together in Death Valley. Grant and him had become best friends, always getting into some kind of trouble as children do.
He began to think about his childhood, and how easier things were then. Grant and his family had moved away. And they had lost touched with each other until a couple of years ago when the WWF did a show there.

Grant was one of the fans and had seen him when he came down to the ring, telling his friends he knew The Undertaker. They laughed him shamelessly. He gave one of the security men a note to give to Mark.

His friends just shook there heads. One of the security asked them to follow him. Grant smiled at them as if to say ‘I told you‘. They didn’t feel the same. They felt Grant had gotten them in some big time trouble, as they were ushered into a room.

Mark entered the room, walked over to Grant and hugged him. His friends were in total shock, as the two began to tell each other how much they had missed each other, forgetting about the others in the room.

They went out after the show and has kept in touch every since. He had been a true friend. He had only one other friendship to compare. And that was with Glenn.
Brenda jumped up looking at the time, shaking Grant out of his sleep.

"Grant wake up. Look what time it is." She ran to the bathroom to take a quick shower as Grant followed her.

He began to get aroused with her so near, she shook her head, no. He had brought his suitcase with him. He would be leaving tonight and had checked out of his hotel hoping he could spend some time with her, later. They were dressed and on their way in less than thirty minutes. It would take an half hour to get to the arena.

As they sat in their seats, Grant tried to explain to her about the different wrestlers, leaving Mark out on purpose, remembering their conversation. They had front row seats.
Brenda sat looking around at all the fans and how pumped up they were. She read some of the signs, blushing at some. It was a ventilating feeling, even if you weren’t a fan. The show began with the opening formalities.

Then each match began. There were four young men competing. She had to close her eyes at times as they climbed on the ropes hurling themselves at each other landing on the floor with a thump.
Grant was standing up cheering them along. As was the other fans. When their match was over the lights went down and you could here this weird sound like heavy breathing, as Grant pointed me to the ramp, coming up out of the floor, through a circle of flames was one with something like a chalice in his hand.

As he came close she could see he had these large eyes, nearly popping out of the sockets. Are those real fangs? She thought. And then he drank from the cup and spit out red blood looking stuff, sending the fans in a frenzy as some came their way. He entered the ring, waiting for his opponent.

Then you heard someone say ‘Hellooo ladieeees!’ And the women fans went crazy as this man came down the ramp wearing a towel wrapped around his waist. He stood at the turnbuckle for a minute scanning the audiences which really made the women fans holler and scream.

She knows, because there were a couple behind her. He then stepped in the ring and began to recite something that ended in a invitation to his genitalia. And the women screamed on. That match was the usual pushing, pulling and throwing each other out the ring. The one with the towel won.

Next the lights went dim, what’s with the lights. The crowd was quieter than she had heard them all night. Some music began to play. She looked to the ramp as the crowd began to cheer, as this man taller than Grant came down the ramp and entered the ring. He was dressed in red and black, with a mask covering his face. He was awesome.

He stopped for a moment in the middle of the ring. Raising his hands high in the air extended to his sides, brought them down with a bang and flames shooting from each turnbuckle. Brenda nearly jumped in Grant’s lap, as he laughed, knowing what was going to happen. She hit him in the arm for not warning her. Grant told her this was going to be a handicap match.

‘What??!!. This big guy is going to beat up on a handicapped person?’ She thought. But she looked to the ramp as two wrestlers came down to face the towering figure. One’s name was Dee low or something, and Moss or is that marsh. Well, they were going to wrestle him as a team.

‘I guess’ she thought. Who would be big enough to take him on? She would soon find out the answer to that question. The big guy won at the crowds approval.

Next some music played and the lights didn’t go down. And as she looked to the ramp her mouth flew opened as the figure came to the ring and stood there at the turnbuckle closest to them, paused looking around, and finally entered the ring as the crowd roared.

She thought the guy in red was big. This guy almost stood about four inches taller than the latter. Now that would have been a match. He was only in the ring gabbing about something. Grant ran to get something from the snack bar. She knew it would be some time before he made it back.

A couple of matches went on while he was gone. She had a chance to see the women wrestlers. They were no bigger than her. Except for this big man-looking blond who she thought was a weightlifter, who disposed of the smaller women with ease. And there was something call Degeneration X. There were four men, and a woman who was as tall as the weightlifter, but she was nicely built, with shoulder length black hair. She just stood around while the men did the talking.

Grant hadn’t made it back as she sat waiting for the next match. Suddenly the lights, well there goes the lights again. The crowd was as quiet as a church mouse, the adrenalin was flowing heavily as they waited. Then a bell tolled about three times and then music started as the crowd lost control. Down the ramp came a man as big as the man in red but not as big as the seven foot something man. He was dressed in all black with his hair combed back flowing loosely.

As he came to the ring he was accompany by a little fat man. The fat man entered the ring, while the other stood on the steps and raised his arms, turning up the lights. As he bend to go into the ring, he glimpsed over at Brenda, sitting in one of the seats he had given Grant.

He gather she was his ex. He stared at her as she stared back, noticing how eerie he looked with all that makeup. As she continue to stare at him, she noticed his green eyes. She had never seen eyes that color before. He turned and walked into the ring, thinking. He will have to talk to Grant about not mentioning she was so lovely.

Chapter Five

Grant and Brenda made it to the WWF New York restaurant. There were crowds of people standing on the outside to see their favorite wrestlers. As they entered, they were escorted to a table reserved by Mark.

“This place is jamming.” Grant said as he looked to see at the surrounding tables.

This area were seated some wrestlers, while others went to mingle with the fans, and others were up on the stage dancing and singing.

“Yes. That it is.” She was trying to talk over the music.

They sat a while waiting for Mark to arrive. Grant was asked to dance by some fan, thinking he was a wrestler. He didn’t make it any better. He went away with this goofy smile. As she sat listening to the music watching Grant clown.

“Hello. Is this sit taken.” The deep throaty voice asked.

She looked up into the green eyes she had seen at the show. He looked different. She noticed he looked very attractive without the makeup. And much bigger up close.

“No. My friend and I were waiting for his friend to arrive. Please have a seat.” At that time Grant was making his way to the table.

He had seen Mark come in and was given him time to meet Brenda before he came back to the table.

“Hey Mark.. Did you meet Brenda?” He said as he sat down, putting his arm around her.

“We were getting acquainted, before you arrived.” Mark continued to stare at Brenda.

“Oh. So you’re the wrestling friend?” She gave Grant a gentle nudge in the rib, knowing he was up to something. She didn’t know what.

“And you must be the Ex.” Mark being just as callous.

She looked at Grant for the way he had called her his Ex. And looked to Mark for mentioning it. She could see she was in for a night of games with these two.

“So, Brenda. Would you like Mark to give you an autograph? Or would you like him to tell you something about himself?” Grant was getting ready to have his fun with Mark’s ego.

Mark sat back in his chair with this look on his face. Here we go again, with the autograph and all the wrestling question. Sometimes he wish they would except him as Mark. He was reaching in side his pocket for a pen.

“Grant how rude. Mark is here to unwind. He doesn’t want to talk about wrestling or give out autographs. Right Mark?” She looked at him nodding her head.

Mark left the pen inside his jacket. Looking at Grant, thinking he had control over this woman. He had kept his promise. She didn’t act like she knew him.

“Well, I don’t mind. We are here to greet the fans and to have a good time also.” Mark explained to her, thinking now she will ask for his autograph.

She didn’t. He looked towards Grant as if to say, ’Way to go man’. Grant gave him a thumbs up behind Brenda’s back. Mark just gave his friend a smile.

“So. You’re here for the fans and don’t mind them asking for your autographs? Well I think that‘s nice of you. I always thought celebrities didn‘t want to be bother when their out in public.” She said. Now she would ask for it. He thought. He nodded.

“You’ll have to excuse me. But until tonight. I never had been to a wrestling match or seen it on TV. Grant here is the fanatic.” Grant’s cover was blown.

Mark lean forward on the table looking at Brenda. And then to Grant, as he looked up the wall and all around keeping from catching his Mark’s eyes.

“You never looked at wrestling before tonight? So you don’t know who I am other than I’m Grant’s friend?” He watched as she looked at him strangely.

“Is that so strange that there are people who don’t watch wrestling. And don’t know you?” What a ego. She thought.

“No. No. I didn’t mean it in that manner. It’s just I was given the impression you were a huge fan.” And now the tide turns.

Mark sits back in his chair. She looks at him puzzle. Now she knew what Grant was up to.

“I see you have been played real hard, Mark. And when you get ready to get him back. Call me?” They all had a good laugh.

As the evening wore on. Grant and Brenda got up to slow dance. Mark watched from the table. He had enjoyed himself. She was a nice lady and wondered how did Grant let her get away from him.

He felt he wouldn’t mind getting to know her. But wasn’t sure of what the Ex meant. Judging by the way they looked at each other, he didn’t feel things were quite finish between them.

Grant and Brenda headed back to the table. While they were dancing they decided they needed to go and cool off, before he left. Grant told Mark thanks for the tickets and the good time. And told him whenever their in Phoenix let him know, they can stay at his place. Brenda told Mark she had a very good time. And thanked him, telling him she was glad to have met him.

“The pleasure was mine. Little Lady.” He said in his southern drawl.

Why didn’t she noticed that before. Another plus for him. She thought. She was snapped back to the moment when he took her hand and kissed it. No. Make that a double plus for him.

Mark watch Grant walk away with someone he wish he had. As he sat there sipping his drank. She walked up to his table. Mark looked to her as she stood there. He beckon for her to sit. Another one wanting to see how good he was in bed. He knew them from his usual fans.

“Hi. My name is Wendie. I see you have been left alone. So am I. Why don’t we go somewhere quiet? I can make it worth your while, after a hard nights work.” She leaned over the table to show a lot of cleavage.

She stood about 5’7” and medium built. Had on a sleeveless red dress, very tight and low cut. Short. Very short, she had to keep pulling it down as she moved around in her chair. She had a nice tan, long black hair, left loose. Grey eyes. Again too much makeup. He thought.

He looked at her and they left. He followed her on his Harley. He knew this was going to be a short night. But he couldn’t get Brenda out of his head. Grant was lucky. The way they looked at each other when they were leaving, he knew where they were going to do. He wish he could trade places.

Grant and Brenda laid in each other’s arms after the ‘cooling process’. Grant thought how much he didn’t want to leave her.

“Come go with me Brenda? Everyone you know is back home. We are great together. Can’t you see that? He was still rubbing her arm.

“Grant. Why do we have this conversation every time we talk. Sex has never been the problem. Or our friendship. It’s me. I need something different.” She sat up.

This was as good of a time as it ever would be. “Grant though I love you. I’m not in love with you. I’ve tried to let you know in the nicest way as I could. You are the sweetest guy I know. And you deserve better.

Out there is some nice woman who will give you everything you want. It’s just not me.” She left the bed wrapping her robe around her. Stood looking out the window. Grant went into the bathroom to shower. It was time for him to leave.

Mark was up and showering. How does he get himself in these things. But what else could he do? Become celibate. No way. If it didn’t do anything else. It did give him release until the next time. Coming out the bathroom dressed.

He walked over to the nightstand, laid a bill on it and walked out the door. She took the bill in her hand. And smiled as she heard him leave on his Harley. She went to take a shower and to turn in. She was laying in her bed when she heard the Harley coming back. He’s back. She thought. He must have been impress.

Maybe it wouldn’t end like the others in her life. Maybe she had found someone nice. She ran to the door at the knock. She opened it and let him in. He began to kiss her hard and long taking her to the bed.

She looked in his eyes and started to holler. The scream was cut off with his hand tightening around her throat and the other over her mouth. She was right. It didn’t end like the others. The Harley could be heard riding away. On her nightstand next to the bill was a note ‘Never make promises you can’t keep.’

Brenda laid in her bed. As she listen to her neighbors, getting ready for the day. She had decided to stay in considering the long night before. She went to get her a cup of coffee and read her newspaper.

She liked to be reminded of how the world around her was doing. She was scanning the paper when she came across a article. Another woman killed last night. Right there in NY. Something about this article caught her eyes, as the other. She couldn’t quite put her finger on it. The phone rung as she was trying to figure out the connection of the two cases.

“Hello.” She said as she sat still looking at the paper.

“Hi Brenda. I just wanted you to know I made it home safely.” She smiled at hearing his voice. She knew he had been hurt with their conversation. But he still called.

“Hi Grant. I’m glad you made it safely. And I’m glad you aren’t angry with me.” He could never be angry at her. No matter what. He knew she loved him and wanted nothing but his happiness.

“When will I see you again?” Right now there was no one else in his life. And he loved the times they spend together.

“I don’t know. Maybe soon. Anyway I have to catch up on some work. Talk to you soon.” She realize they needed to redefined their relationship.

She looked at the paper continued to sip her coffee reading the article. The woman killed was a nurse at the local hospital.

Mark was working out with Glen. He had been distracted all during their workout. He couldn’t get Brenda out of his mind. He knew Grant and her had slept together, even if he did call her his Ex.

How he wish he could get to know her better. It would have to be another time. They were heading for the mid west. And on to the west coast. It will probably be a month before the make it back there. He had to find out as much as he could about her.

“Mark. Where are you?” Glen asked.

“You are not with it today. What’s going on?”

“Nothing Glen. Just deep in my thoughts. How do you find about someone?” He was staring off. Glen looked puzzled at this comment.

“Why? Who is it you want to find something about?” Glen seemed a little nervous. Mark never noticed, he was thinking how he could find Brenda before he left town.

“Oh, it’s this girl I met last night I would like to get to know better.” Mark was smiling for the first time today.

“You have got to be kidding me. You go out and sleep with some woman who only wanted that from you, in the first place. And now you want to take her home to momma?” Mark looked at Glen as he spoke these words, and couldn’t understand what had come over him.

“Wait a minute. Where is this coming from?” Mark was confused.

“Man, you know as well as I do how it is. They come up to you and make these promises and then they don’t keep them. Makes me sick.” Glen had a look in his hazel eyes Mark had never seen before.

“Glen you know the drill. They know what we’re looking for, and we know what they’re looking for. So no ones hurt. Its a game people play. If its that hard, man. Then you find someone special and settle down. This is the way it is.” Mark knew what Glen was going through. He had been there many times. He gave him the same advise he gave himself.

“I’ll do more than that. If you can’t come up to what’s expected. Then don’t tell me you can.” Glen walked away, more angry than Mark has ever him.

Mark watched his friend, thinking he was in a worst dump then him. Then he decided to hire a private investigator. He went to look for a telephone book. He checked the listings. He scanned down the page until his finger rested on one particular name. Could it be the same? No. There has to be many with that name. Mark smiled.

Chapter Six

Brenda had planned on staying in, but the murdered women were nagging at her. She needed to pull some files. She was sitting there going over some comparisons, when she heard the door to the office opened. She looked as they figured peered around the door. She sat there frozen in her seat, as they made their way into the office.

Mark had decided to go to the address found in the listing. Nothing gain nothing lost, he thought. It was worth the chance. He gather all his courage to go see, hoping she would be the one he was looking for.

Brenda Sims. P.I. What a coincident. He had rode to the building, checking the address, walked up the stairs to the office. Opening the door, he peeked in to make sure it was true. It was. He took in a deep breath and enter, as he watch the expression all her face. Evidently, he had left an lasting impression on her.

"Mark?" She finally regained her composure.

"Yes. In the flesh." He felt a little awkward.

"Did you need something?" She figured Grant had told him what she did for a living.

"I need you to find someone for me." Mark was a lost for words. How could he say, ‘I’m looking for a P.I. to find you’.

"Oh, really. Who?" She became a professional. Getting out her note pad to take note, and beckoning him to have a seat.

Mark had to think fast. He thought of some one. The girl he met the night before. He had two faults. One is, he never read the newspapers. The second, he never followed up on the women he slept with.

"There was this girl I met last night. We spoke briefly. She did give me her name. Wendie. She stood about 5’7", black long hair, had a great tan, blue eyes. No, Grey eyes." He was proud of his eye for details.

"She sounds like a looker. How did you manage to let her leave without getting a phone number or address?" She stared at him attentively. Just curious at how this lady could’ve walked away and not given him her phone number or address.

She knew she would have in a heart beat. Mark noticed how she stared at him and began to get caught up in the moment as they began to think how interesting the other person sitting across from them, when Brenda broke the spell.

"Soooo! Mark. You don’t have anything else I could go on. Like her profession, hobbies, likes or dislikes. You and her did have a conversation with each other. Right?" She thought. He has the gorgeous eyes.

"Oh, yes. We talked for a while before I left." Sure they talked. Mark thought how he would love to rub his hands over that smooth dark skin.

"So, tell me. Is there anything else you can tell me." She thought how she would love to be held in his powerful arms.
"I that’s all I can think of right now. But I have your office number. I can call you from time to time. It’s hard to catch me. Unless you want my cell number.?" He thought about the things he could do to her body.

"That would be fine. And just to be on the safe side. I can give you my home number." She thought how she would love to climb his trunk. She always had an passion for big men. She handed him her information and he in return.

Mark felt it was time for him to go. He needed a cold shower and hoped she could see how she had aroused him. Brenda was glad he was leaving. She decided it was time to close up. She needed to go home and cool off. He had truly arouse some feelings. She had never felt this way with Grant. And he has arouse many feelings in her, on the times they had been intimate.

Mark went to leave. Brenda walked him to the door, told him she would do her best to find the woman. Taking the others hand, as they stared into each others eyes. There was a force that came from within, reaching out and drawing them together.

Their bodies touching, their lips pull toward each other. Their arms reach around their targets. They embrace. Mark was like a starving child as he kisses her hungrily. He holds her, lifting her off the floor as he allow his tongue to taste every inch of her mouth. He doesn’t want to stop. Even for a breath of life. She was his breath.

Brenda is overwhelmed by this man’s fire. She could do nothing but hold on and let this man unleash himself. Mark finally needing air, unlocked his mouth from hers. Still holding her breathing heavily, he looks upon her face . Remembering everything about it. So on those lonely nights. His dream lady would have a face.

Mark set her down gently never taking his eyes off her. Turned and left. He didn’t want this to be like the others. He had the information he needed. He knew they will see each other again. He would make sure of it.

Brenda was still leaning against the door. Trying to catch her breath and strength back into her legs. "Like I said. How could she let him get away without giving her phone number?" She said to herself.

When she was able, with the help of the chair and desk to lean on, to make it to her chair. She looked over the note pad. Put it in her desk. Decided to go home and douse this heat she felt running throw her body. She could start the search tomorrow. Driving up to her apartment . Brenda never noticed someone following her.

Chapter Seven

The WWF had come to New Orleans. Very interesting place to be around this time of the year. The Mardi Gras. The town was alive with parades, carnivals, and dancing in the streets. The costumes were beautiful. Food was delicious. The night was like magic. Yes, no better place to be this time of the year for the ancient festivities.

Mark had decided to go out to see how things were. Glenn had tagged alone. They didn’t mind mingling with the crowd. With everything going on, they were just two more tourists in town. They came upon a little cafe/bar. Ordered something to eat.

As the two men discussed the nights matches, a young woman sat over in the corner watching the two giants. She had seen them when they came in. She was fascinated by their strength and masculinity. She had never seen any men as these before.

She stood 5’5" in height. She wore a low-cut purple long sleeve blouse. That hung off each shoulder, showed a lot of cleavage, and accentuated her very large rounded breasts. Her waist was very small, and made her curvy hips, look larger than they were. She wore black tight pants, and black boots to her knees, that she wore over her pants. Her make-up was heavy for a reason.

Her hair was auburn, thick and wavy, shoulder length. But her eyes were captivating. Almost white they were so blue. She was French/Creole, a native. Her family had lived here from one generation to another. She was one who had a mind of her own. She was out cast from the family, because of the lifestyle she chose to live.

Before the night was over, she would which she had taken a little time to grow a little more. The reason for the heavy make-up, was her age. She was only sixteen. As she watched them, Mark feeling her stare, turned to look in her direction. He looked into her haunting eyes, as they seemed to draw him into them. Now he understood what was said about his eyes.

She looked deep into his eyes amazed at their color. She smiled as he continued to stare. Glenn turned to see what he was looking at, and became very irritated for some reason, Mark felt. He told Glen to go ahead and he would pay for the food. He gave the waiter a note to give to the young woman and left. The note said for her to meet him back there tonight.

Brenda had come home after Mark’s visit. She couldn’t get him off her mind. As she curled up on her bed, she kept replaying the office scene over and over. And felt her self becoming arouse again by the smell of his scent on her. She went to sleep dreaming of him. She awaken by the phone ringing. She jumped and reached over to answer it knocking on the floor. She snatched it up.

"Hello. Yes." She was still waking up.

"Oh. Did I wake you? I didn’t know you would be sleeping so early." It was Mark.

"No. I was just sitting here and dozed off." She had sat straight up in bed at the sound of his voice.

"I just remembered something about the woman I asked you to find. I think she was a nurse in that area.." Mark couldn’t see the hurt on Brenda’s face upon him mentioning this other woman.

"That would be helpful." She strained to say this not wanting him to know what she was feeling.

"I’m going to get started on it first thing in the morning. And give you a call as soon as I find something out. Talk to you later." She hung the phone up and began to think how could she think he wanted her. I guess he just wanted to see how far he could get with her. Well he found out.

Mark stared at the phone for awhile, wondering why she had hung up so abruptly. He had wanted to talk a little more. He thought with what had happened in her office she would be more receptive with him. Then realized. What a idiot. She did feel something. And what did he do? Call her about finding some other woman. He was dialing her number when Glen came up.

"Mark! What’s up?" Glenn seemed a little peeved.

"What’s going on with you, man?" Mark hung up the phone. He turned towards Glenn, getting a little irritated at his mood of late.

"I asked you first." Glenn just stood watching as he hung up the phone.

"Look. I don’t have time for your moods or your games. " Mark began to walk away, still a little angry with himself for being so thoughtless with Brenda. He was going to have to make this up to her.

"No. You don’t have time for important things but you always have time for your, what do you call them? H...’s." He was trying to anger Mark for some reasons.

He stood there with his arms folded across his chest and legs spread apart as Mark gave him a look and walked away. Yea he thought. Play the games all you want. I can play too.

Chapter Eight

Mark had met up with the young woman after the show and went to her apartment. She had enjoyed the ride on his bike. Mark couldn’t figure it out, but something about her struck him as odd. He would soon find out. As they went to kiss, he could see she had more make-up then the other women he had bedded.

He asked her to remove it, and was shocked to see. She was a child. He grew very angry, and told her so. He threw her a bill and left. She picked it up and began to laugh, as she heard his bike roar off. She enjoyed playing with men. She felt they all were stupid. How couldn’t he see from the beginning she was young. No one knew. But she was still a virgin. She was more of a tease than anything.

She stood still as she heard the sound of the bike returning. What could he want? He left out of here angry enough to kill her. She wasn’t sure she wanted to let him in as he knocked at the door. Hesitantly, she went and opened the door.

He came in on her and began to kiss her hungrily. She tried to push him away, he was too powerful she struggled against his grasp. He laid her on the bed with him on top. She looked into his eyes and began to scream. Too bad. With all that was going on outside, no one could heard her.

He began to tear her clothes from her body with one hand and held her down with the she kicked and clawed it was useless, enter her forcefully as she screamed in agony with the penetration. Moments later, her screaming had stopped. She laid there staring in shock. He looked over at her as he straighten his clothes. He walked over to the nightstand by her bed, leaving his signature note. She never heard the bike as it drove away. She was in her own little world.

Brenda had made it to her office. And had sat down for a cup of coffee, picking up the newspaper to read, when she read about the young woman who had survived an attack. She had been brutally raped and beaten. She was completely disoriented and confused. And there was no possible idea of how soon she would be coming out of it.

She was the granddaughter of a well-known local businessman. Here was the twist. Evidence at the scene indicated it was the same man who had been killing the other women. They wouldn’t disclose information on the evidence. Brenda decided to look at the newspaper from the previous murder. She slowly read:

’Local nurse killed in her apartment. Wendi Vasquez, was found murdered in her apartment after not showing up to work at well known Medical Center. She was the Director of Nursing. Friends and family worried, went to check on her and found her strangled body.’

She began to read the description of the woman. She pulled out her note pad. Her mouth fell opened as she matched the same description as Mark’s woman, and the one found dead. And he did say she was a nurse, he thought. This couldn’t be a coincidence.

Oh well, it didn’t include Mark. He said he didn’t leave with her. So that clears him. She made a phone call. He she needed more information on this case. There was something nagging her about these cases she couldn’t figure out.

"Hey, Rob. How has life been treating you?" She said in her sexiest voice.

"You are a tease. Have I ever told you that?" He asked.

"All the time. Why don’t we have lunch together? It’s been a while." She said flicking her pencil.

"Okay. There’s something you want to know. Let’s not play the game." He was on to her as usual.

"Rob. I’m deeply hurt. Even if I did want some info. I would still want to see you. For old times sake." Rob worked on the NYPD.

They had met on a couple of her interfering investigations, and had become almost lovers. She found out he was married. But after some time, they had agreed to remain close friends. He wasn’t sure, in a way she was getting him back for his deception.

"Okay. How about our favorite lunch bar?" He wanted to remind her of what they could have had.

What she didn’t know is he had fallen in love with her and was ready to tell his wife he wanted a divorce. That night she was told by one of his so call friends, he was married. He had confided in his friend of his plans, a backstabbing , envious, busybody.

He and his wife were only staying in the house together. They had separate bedrooms. But the friend made Brenda think he was using her and would dump her as soon as he had her in the bed. She called him to come over, it was important. He wasn’t able to tell his wife.

Going over to her house, she asked the question, he couldn’t lie. He knew she was lost to him forever. Since then, they had slowly mended the friendship. He had since left his wife. He couldn’t take her anymore. And had found a nice woman in his life. She made him happy.

"So tell me. What have you been up to the last month?" He was holding her chair as she sat down.

"You know me. Busy, busy, busy. And you?" She looked at her friend, with his dark tanned skin, black wavy thick hair.

He was Italian. His family had immigrated here in the forties. He had worked hard to become a policeman. While a lot of his friends had ended up dead or in jail. His family wasn’t having it.

They had come through to much to see their younger generation go down the drain. It paid off. He was a very good. She watched him as he talked and told him about the case she was on and if he had any information she could use will be appreciated.

"You think there may be a connection, between your friends lady and the one found dead?" He asked.

"You haven’t been able to find the killer because there haven’t been anything you could connected them with." She explained.

"Them. What do you mean by them?" He leaned forward.

"You’re not treating this case as a serial killer?" She was surprise, or maybe the undisclosed evidence didn’t match.

"No. We don’t have enough to prove this is one man. And if he is, he does a lot of traveling to get from one city to another." He shook his head and rubbed his eyes. She could see he was tired. Travel a lot to get to get from one city to another. She thought.

"What’s wrong? Too much of a good thing?" She laughed. He gave her his you are a naughty girl look.

"That is none of your business." He smiled at her. He still loved her. But he respected her decision. Beside, he wasn’t about to mess up a good thing with his Lady loved. He had waited too long for someone like her to come into his life.

"Well, I’m glad you are happy." He knew she meant it. He hoped someone could come into her life and make her just as happy.

"Now. I need all the information you can give me on these cases." He could see he wasn’t going to get any rest from this, until she got what she wanted. He told her he would get the information and call her later on in the day. She said goodbye with a hug and kiss.

Chapter Nine

The federation had come to Houston and would be moving on to a couple of cities in Texas before moving on to Arizona. He was looking forward to seeing Grant again, and possibly Brenda. He stayed at his Mansion. He invited Glenn, Edge, Christian and The Acolytes. With everyone settled in. He went out for a night on the town. He was just looking for a quiet evening alone.

Her name was June. She stood nearly six feet tall. She was a bodybuilder. But even with that she was a beautiful woman. She had shoulder length flame red hair and dark green eyes. She was dressed in a pink body suit, that complemented her figure. She admired the tall drink of water coming through the door. She stood at the bar as he sat alone in the corner. She wasn’t sure if she should approach him.

Feeling someone staring at him. Mark looked in the direction of the vibes. Their eyes met and hooked on each other. She smiled. He looked her up and down. What a specimen of a woman. He thought. He beckoned for her to join him. She was glad. She came over and sat down across form him.

"Hello. My name is June. I watched as you came in. Do you workout?" She asked as she checked him out.

"Yeah. I do. It’s a job necessity. I noticed you our built finely. You workout?" She reminded him of Chyna. They could be twins body wise.

"Yeah. I not in to the bulging muscles. As much as fitness. It came with me being so tall. What kind of work do you do?" She figured he may be a Bouncer at some bar or a bodyguard.

"You don’t know who I am?" He was happy. For once someone sitting here having a nice conversation. She wasn’t coming on to him and yet he knew she was wanting him. Well. He was wanting her.

"No. Why should I?" She looked at him a little confused.

"I wrestle for a living. I’m The Undertaker. Mark is my real name." He watched her as she didn’t seemed overly enthused.

"Oh. Yeah. I’ve heard of you. My brothers watch wrestling I don’t have much time to watch TV." She seemed pleased to be able to go back and tell her brothers she had met one of the wrestlers.

As she was thinking. She realized Mark was staring at her with this look. She returned the stare. Normally she didn’t pick up strangers, but it was something about him that was striking. Very seldom has she found men who towered over her. She was going to enjoyed every of being engulfed in a man’s arms. As if reading her thoughts.
"Would you like to go somewhere a little quiet?" He asked her hoping she would say yes.
"I have a hotel room not to far away. Would you like to go there?" She was getting up from the table, as he followed.

He rode her on his bike as they laughed, while she enjoyed he holding onto him. They made it to her room. As she pour him a drink. The sat an talked. Neither wanted to rush this evening. But both wanted each other badly.

Finally Mark not being able to contained himself any longer walked over to her pulling her out of the chair begin to kiss her lips gently as she tilted her head back invitingly. It felt so good to be looking up to someone bigger than her.

She ran her hands over his massive arms feeling his firm muscles. She was in heaven, as she moved to his chest to feel his hard chest. She groan as he moved his tongue over her neck and to her earlobe and reclaiming her mouth. He moved her to the bed, laying her gently down. She popped back up and shoved him down on the bed as she began to remove his clothing. So she likes being on top.

‘Good’, he thought. He likes it when they take control. She began to kiss his chest and running her tongue over his hard nipples as he moaned. She nibble one and then another, she continue down until she slowly pulled his pants off heightening the desire. She stopped when his pants down enough for her to take in the object of her desire.

She gasp, and quickly finish removing his pants. She began to caress him, when he throw her on the bed and returned the favor of removing clothing, as he licked and nibbled sending her into a frenzy. They played this top and bottom game well until the morning. It had been along time since he had enjoyed someone so fully. They laid in each others arms, until they drifted off to sleep.

Just before dawn, Mark went in to take a shower and dressed. He looked down at her sleeping. He had enjoyed himself with her. He left her his number by the bedside. Hoping she would call him. He gently kiss her, not wanting to wake her. He left.

June woke at the sound of a bike. She looked over to see Mark was gone. She never saw the note he had left. There was a knock at the door. Mark! She thought. She ran to open it. And before she could say anything he began to kiss her hungrily.

He began to move her towards her bed. He laid her down and looked at her as she stared into his eyes she went to scream he covered he mouth with one hand as he put the other to her throat. As he began to tighten his grip she took one leg and kick him in the crotch. He fell off her in pain.

She began to gasp for breath as she tried to roll off the bed. He grabbed her leg, as she fell to the floor with the top part of her dangling from the bed. She gave him a hard kick to the face with her free foot. Making him loosen his grip. She kicked him again harder as he finally let go holding his face.

She began to crawl to the door and tried to get up on her feet before she felt him grab her from behind by the hair. He gave her a hard fist to the face sending her back towards the bed as he followed angrier than before. He pounced on her and began to hit her with his fist over and over until she succumbed to the darkness.

Chapter Ten

Mark had made it in before morning and snuck in unnoticed so he thought. Later that morning as he came down for breakfast, Edge gave him a sly look.

"So. How was yer night?" He asked with that silly grin of his.

"Okay. And yers?" He looked at each one and then wondered where was Glenn. "Where’s Glenn? He decided to sleep in today?" He asked.

"Glenn said he was going to look fer ya’." Farooq answered.

"I ain’t seen ‘im." He was puzzled. If he wanted to join him he could’ve call him on the cellular.

He felt Glenn had been acting strange lately. They were sitting and talking, when they heard Glenn come in. He went straight upstairs without saying anything to anyone. They all gave each other the raised eyebrow look.

He must have had a nice night. He stayed in his room all day. Later, when he thought everyone had left. Glenn came down to get something to eat. He was started by someone sitting at the table.

"Damnnnn! What happen to yer face?" Bradshaw asked. As Glenn looked like a child caught with his hands in the cookie jar.

Mark decided he didn’t want wait and see if June would call him. He went to her hotel room. She didn’t answer. The one of the housekeepers saw him at the door. And explained she had been taken to the hospital. Someone had beaten her bad. They didn’t know if she was going to make it.

He went to the manager to ask what hospital she had been taken. He told him. When Mark had left, the manager made a phone call. Mark arrived at the hospital but didn’t get much information. Only she was critical and guarded. Who could do something like this? He thought. As he was turning to leave he saw policemen walking towards him.

"Sir. We need you to come down to the station with us." Mark stood stunned, as he looked at the officers standing before.

Surly they couldn’t suspect him of this horrible crime. He turned towards the room June where sleeping, and followed the two officers.

Sharon had arrived in Phoenix, Az. The day before. A friend of hers had backed out at the last minute. But she had made her plans for this well overdue vacation. So she came alone. No one was going to put a damper on this trip.

She was enjoying the sights. She mainly came to see the Grand Canyon. She took all source of pictures. From the distance. She was afraid of heights. But she felt she was close enough and they were good pictures to show to her family back home. She had drove back to Phoenix after her sight seeing. She had rented a motel room.

She laid in the bed, thinking about the plans her friend and her had made. He had disappointed her one time too many. She wanted this time to be a healing time. And one thing she realized was, he didn’t love her like she loved him. She had planned to stay three days, but changed her mind. For once she was going to do something for Sharon. This felt good as she drifted off to sleep.

Grant had a long day cleaning up around his Ranch style house that sat on one acre of land. He always wanted a ranch. It wasn’t all that big but it would do. He had three horses he loved. One was older about ten years old. That was Granger. He was an Arabian. Beautiful black shiny coat he brushed daily.

Then there was his young mare, Sassie. She was a Pinto. She was squirrely and three years old. And finally, Lucifer. A Palomino, as crazy as a lunatic. He wasn’t quite broken in yet. Wasn’t sure if he would ever be. He was one year. The youngest and wildest of them all.

He had a few cows, just to say he had cattle, two pigs (you got to have pigs), chickens, and other various animals. The most important one of them all, was Ben his silver shepherd. Very loyal and a good watch dog.

And of course his white Siamese, Christian. She didn’t do anything but lay around the house all day. Grant was happy with his little spread. Only thing missing was, someone to share this with. Grant turned his lamp off near his bed as he closed his eyes to get some much needed rest.

Sharon had went downtown to look in some of the stores. She decided to go in a record shop. There was a tape she wanted to buy. She was browsing through some tapes, as reached for the tape her hand brushed a large hand, reaching for the same tape.

She turned to look at the person standing next to her, and into a chest. And a nice one at that, she thought. As she continued up to the face of the lofty man standing in front of her. Then their eyes met. Oh! How beautiful. She thought. As she gazed upon this incredibly manliness before her.

Brenda was sitting in her office looking over some newspaper clippings, when the door opened. In walked Rob. He had a folder in his hand.

"This is confidential." He said as he handed her the folder. "I don’t know what you’re going to do with the information. Whatever. Don’t do anything that my put you in danger."

"Why Rob. I didn’t know you cared." She said as she flashed her big browns at him, causing him to shake his head.

"In all seriousness, Brenda. You know how you are. Remember how we met?" He had a concern expression.

He knew how close she came to getting raped by this a man the police had been trying to catch for awhile. She had used her self as a decoy. He shudders at the thought of what may have happened if he hadn’t felt she was up to something when she broke off their date. He had followed her and watched as the man snuck up from behind her, the man never saw him coming until he had knocked him a few feet, a blow from the butt of his gun.

"Okay. I promise. I won’t do anything that will put my life in danger. I’m just trying to put some pieces together. There’s something about this case that’s so familiar. I can’t but my finger on it. But it’s there. If only I could figure it out." She was looking over the contents of the folder. Rob just shook his head. ‘Once a police officer. Always a police officer.’ He thought. She never noticed him leaving.

Mark had been release. The police seemed satisfied with his answers. And them knowing who he was didn’t hurt much, either. A few had ask for autographs (for their kids). He obliged. As he arrived home. Edge, Christian, Farooq and Bradshaw asked him what had happened to him. It was late and they had to get some training in.

"Man! Ya’ll ain’t gonna believe this! Some chick I was with last night was beaten badly. She’s unconscious right now and they thought it was me. She’s unable to clear me but I think I have convince them I had nothing to do with it." Mark had finish telling them , when in walked Glenn.

"Where have ya’ been? Out with another one of yer sluts?" Glenn came at him angrily.

“Glenn! Where were ya’ last night? And what the hell happened to your face?" Mark was getting a eerie feeling about all of this. Glenn never answered. He just looked at him defiantly.

Brenda noticed something in the similarity of the victims. A note left each time. And as she sat to sip a cup of coffee and read her newspaper she stopped in mid way as she noticed in Houston a woman was brutally beaten.

“Hummmmm!! Maybe I should travel down there to New Orleans and on to Houston to get a better idea of what’s going on." She said to herself.

She threw the folders into a bag, called the airport to make reservations on their next flight out to New Orleans. Then she called Rob to let him know where she would be going, but didn‘t mention Houston. He question why she was so leaving out of town so unexpected.

"I have some.....Oh! I’m going to see the Mardi Gras. I have been promising myself I would go and since it’s slow right now I thought it would be a good time to go. You know me, if I don’t do things on the spur of the moment I won’t do it. Besides, I owe it to myself." She hoped she was convincing.

"Okay Bren. Just be careful. Promise me you will atleast do that." He knew what she was going for. He was holding a newspaper with the news of the woman’s brutal attack.
"Yes! I promise I’ll be very careful." She knew he knew. They said their goodbyes and she went home to get ready for her flight out.

Chapter Eleven

Grant stared down at the lovely lady, staring up to him. He gave her a smile as she returned one to him. She suddenly realized she was gawking at the man turned her head away as if blushing for the thoughts that had ran through her mind when she traveled up form his chest to his gorgeous light brown eyes.

"Please excuse me for looking at you in that manner." She said as she took the CD in her hand as if checking it out.

"No, excuse me. Uh...You aren’t from here are you?" He felt he would like to get to know this woman a little better. She remind him of Brenda in her mannerism.

"No I’m not! I’m from L.A. I’m here on vacation. One well overdue, I might say." She glanced at him, smiling. He seemed like a very nice man.

"I don’t want to seem forward, but I grew up here and if you like, I can show you some very interesting spots." He gave her one of his charming smiles and clasped his hands as if pleading. How could she resist.

"Okay! Sure, when will you like to go?" She asked

"As soon as we pay for that CD, I would like to start with lunch. Sounds good to you?" He wasn’t about to let her slip away. He wanted to hold on to her as long as he could. He had this feeling deep down. She is the one.

"Sounds alright with me." She said as they started towards the check out line.
Brenda arrived in New Orleans. She first went to the local police station to check in and to inform them she was on an official investigation of a woman murdered in New York with possibly tides to the case here.

She went to the place where she was last seen. They described to her the man she left with. She then went to her apartment to see if there were any witnesses there. She was in formed by the neighbors she had gotten into an argument with the huge man she came with and he left on his bike. Only to return about ten minutes later.

She didn’t want to go to the family. they had been through enough. The girl was reportedly institutionalized. She would be no help at all. She headed back to her motel room to go over the data she had gathered.

She looked over the description of the man saw leaving with the girl and was with her at the hotel room. Brenda stared with a grave expression her face. She didn’t want to jump to any conclusions as yet, but felt she needed to get to Houston. Half an hour before her flight left. She gather her things and headed to the airport.

Maybe there would be more than enough answers there for her. Maybe someone saw who this other unfortunate woman left with. An idea popped in her head. She made an phone call.

"Hi Rob! I need a favor. Did anyone ID a man that might have been seen with the nurse on that night.?" She asked as she sat with pen and paper.

"I thought you said you were there enjoying yourself....what was that I’m going to the Mardi Gras." Rob said jokingly.

"Let’s cut the crap, Rob. You and I both know what I’m doing." She said laughing. She was glad they had remained friends, she would have hated if they did.

"You have your cell with you?"

"Yeah why?"

"I’m knee deep right now. But will give you a call when i get the info."

"Okay! I’ll be waiting to here form you. And Rob...."

"Yeah?"

"Thanks"

"HEY!! You know I’ll do anything for you."

"I know......that’s why I said....thanks."

Silence as they hung the phones up, each thinking of what could have been, if things had turned out a little differently. She took one glance around the room, making sure she had everything. Left the motel room heading for the airport, en route to Houston.

Mark sat on the bar stool wondering what the Hell was wrong with Glenn. And his face looked like he had been kicked by a mule. He took a swig of beer followed by a shot of JD. He thought for a moment.

WAIT!! They said Glenn came looking for him. And they did say they thought she fought the person who attacked her. No! It couldn’t be. But he has been acting strange lately.
What if he did follow him and saw him leave with the girl. And tried to come on to her after he left. Naw!! Not Glenn. And anyway the said the saw the person leave on a bike, which is him. And came back on a bike. Glenn doesn’t know how to ride a bike.

"Hey Man!! Guess who we saw riding a bike bigger than yers, Glenn!!" The Acolytes, Edge and Christian announced coming in!

It was late evening when Brenda arrived in Houston. She went to get her rental and drove to the motel located not to far away. She checked in and asked where was a good place to get something to eat. After the clerk told her she went to her room to freshen up before going out.

Mark had been disturbed since he heard the news of Glenn riding the bike. He was curious as why he made like he couldn’t ride. He was knocked out of his thought when Glenn entered the room heading for the bar to get him a beer.

"Man! What is eating at ya’? You have an attitude out of this world." Mark had just about had enough of his crap.

"Look man! Ya’ may play my BIG bro’ with the WWF! But ya’ ain’t so get off my back." Glenn snapped.

"NO man! I ain’t ya’ brother.......but I thought we were friends." Mark threw him a serious glance, turned and left the house.

"DAMN!!" He roared throwing the beer against the wall. He stumped out the door just in time to see Mark speeding off on his HARLEY.

"I can’t let all that has happened interfere with my friendship with Mark. This has nothing to do with him. It’s me........and this.....oh God...........what have I done..........?" Glenn went to his car to follow Mark.

Chapter Twelve

Brenda arrived at a local restaurant/bar. Highly recommended by the clerk at the motel she was staying. She liked the festive atmosphere. She went to sit at a table and order something to eat. A few of the local ‘BOYS’ watched as this beauty came in the door. And was deciding which one of them would do her the honor of picking her up for the night.

She scanned the place in no time and had already spotted the trouble located at the bar. Three men she counted. Too much to drink. Friday night, just got pay and all those good things. One muster up some nerves to come over and plant himself down in the seat in front of her.

"Well Girlie! Ya’ in luck! I’m going to make yer night." He said as he gave her a toothless grin.

"Oh, I’m very flattered and all, but I’m waiting for someone." She lied looking around as if in search of somebody.

"Well hon‘! I’ll just keep ya’ compan’ til’ ya’ guest arrive!" He replied, feeling she was just trying to get rid of him. He was an expert on brush offs.

"But I’m a lil’ curious! Why would any man in his right mind let a gorgeous lil’ critter like’n yerself come to a bar alone and order without waiting fer him?" He took a gulp of beer smiling deviously.

"Maybe because the lil Lady knows I will eat much faster than her . Hi Lil’ darlin!" Mark said bending down, planting a wet one on her lips.

Brenda was at a lost for words as Mark pulled up from her, staring deep into her eyes so adoringly. Then straightening up his back, turned to the man standing before him with an look of challenge. The man seeing that Mark outsized him, backed away with both hands in the air conceding. His friends at the bar got a big laugh out of their friends situation.

"Mark! What are you doing here?" She asked looking at him as he took the vacant seat in front of her.

"Rescuin, the most beautiful woman I ’ve ev’r had the pleasure to meet." He said as leaned over the table, taking her had in his. Brenda looked away smiling shyly at his remark.

"But really, I live here in Houston. I was just out to get me something to eat, when I saw the guy over there trying to pick ya’ up. And from ya’ reaction, ya’ didn’t seem to thrill with ‘im." Mark sat back in his chair gazing at her.

He could hardly believe he would by chance meet her here. He remembered the last time they had spoken to one another. And how she had abruptly hung up the phone. But then he realized she must have felt something from the kiss they shared in her office. Now she was near, he was going to make the best of this encounter.

"May I ask ya’ what’cha yer doin’ in our fair city.?" He was curious why she was here.

"Well confidentially, I’m on a case. And sorry, that’s all I can tell you right now." She was enjoying having him near. She could still feel his mouth on her lips. And desire more from him. She was hoping he wasn’t here waiting for someone.

"So Mark! Are you also waiting for someone besides here to get something to eat?" She asked nonchalantly as she turned her attention to her surroundings. Mark raised an eyebrow knowingly.

"Whoev’r I was waiting fer happened to be sitting right across from me. And unless she objects, I would like to spend the rest of the evening with her." Brenda snapped her attention back to him bright eyes and mouth opened, at his comment. Then she had to laugh, knowing he knew why she asked. Then they both had a good laugh.

Now with the that out the way. They decided to spend the evening together, figuring faith had brought them together anyway. They were so engross with each other, neither noticed the pair of angry eyes watching them.

Back in New York. Rob had pulled out the information Brenda had requested. It was late, he was tired. He looked over the file.

Hummmm!! He thought. This is interesting. He made a call to Brenda’s cellular. It rung and rung. He wondered why didn’t she pick up.

"Oh well!" He thought. He’ll just try in the morning. The he glance over the file once again.

‘Saw coming into her apartment with a huge man, about seven feet tall. Long black leather coat. Dark glasses. Long hair, loose. He was on a bike. Stayed awhile then left. But was seen returning to apartment. Stayed for about fifteen minutes then left on bike.’
But then he read she was attending the new restaurant/bar the WWF had opened. His mind began to work over time. So he went in search of all the files, of the women who had either been attack or lost their lives.

She sat down to view them and kept falling asleep. Seeing as tired as he was, he decided to hold off until tomorrow. What could happened overnight, he thought. Left foe home.
Mark and Brenda walked out of the bar/restaurant. And went to take in some sights. She asked if they could ride his bike, he was thrilled. They rode off, as the Glenn stepped out of the building going to his car to follow them.

Chapter Thirteen

Mark sped down the rode, Brenda at his back , clinging tightly. Soon they came to a stop. Mark dismounted pulling Brenda after him. They were up on a hill looking down over the city. He went to sit on a rock, as she came to his side.

“I come here often when I want to get away from the noise. I have an Mansion not to far from here. I would take you there, but I have some company.”

Brenda took the comment wrongly. She felt when he said ‘COMPANY’ he meant a woman. She walked away from him in a stupor. Mark glanced towards wondering what was wrong. He left the rock he had been sitting on and came up behind her draping his arm about her shoulders, pulling her close to him.

“I don’t want to share you tonight with my wrestling buddies. If I should take you there they would never leave us alone. Out here we will be.” He turned her to face him, picked her up in his arms and carried her to the rock, sat her there as he moved into her. She wrapped her legs around him and inclined her head back to receive his kiss.

He cupped her head in his hands, as he delved his tongue into her mouth tasting and savoring her flavor. She moaned in desire and need for his touch, his body .......him. She pulled herself up his body, causing their bodies to align. Mark lifted her up and moved towards his bike. He sat her down.

“No! Not this way and not here. Not for you!!” He said, lifting her onto his bike and moved in front of her. He turned on the bike and rode back to the restaurant, to retrieve her car.

Brenda rested her head on his back, as she gripped his waist. What just happened back there? She knew he wanted her as much as she wanted him. Why did he stop? They came to an halt. He was off the bike helping her off. Lead her to her car and informed her he was going to see her safely to her motel room.

When they arrived, he went in with her to make sure everything was safe. After he was satisfied, went to leave. She grabbed his arm, pulled him to her and reached up to him. Her eyes were so pleading, he couldn’t resist her. He bent down and began kissing her harder than before.

He held her up in his arms as he rolled his tongue around in her mouth touching the palate, gums, teeth, and sucking her tongue so longingly, she moaned from within. Mark took her to the bed, laid her down, sliding next to her, allowing his hands to explore her firm breast. She began to explore herself, moving from his chest, down his stomach and towards his swollen hard member.

Mark jumped up off the bed. Ran his hand through his hair, as he paced the floor. He was breathing hard and fast. He felt his heart would jump out of his chest. It had been a long time since he felt this way for anyone. And he didn’t want her here in some dingy motel room. He wanted her in his house, in his room and in his bed. Brenda looked at him confused.

“I have to leave. We will be leaving for Phoenix in the morning. I need to sleep before we head out. It’s going to be a long day.” He started for the door. Then turned to gaze into her eyes.

“I find you very desirable. Please understand. I want you in the worst way. And now that I know you want me as much. I will have you, but not like this.” He turned and walked out the door.

Brenda sat as the sound of his bike slowly diminished. She couldn’t believe what just happened. Twice she almost had him, twice he left her wanting him. She wasn’t sure what he meant, but he did say he wanted her.

She went to take a shower before turning in, when she noticed her cellular beeping. A message left at her answering machine. She decided to call in her messages.

‘Brenda! I had tried calling you on your cell, but didn’t get an answer. Anyway, here’s the information you wanted. The nurse was seen entering her apartment with an very huge man. He was near seven feet tall. Wore a long black leather jacket. Long red hair hanging loose. No color on the eyes, wore shades. Oh! And he rode an bike. A Harley maybe.

They said he was with her for a while and left only to return about ten minutes later and stayed with her for approximately fifteen minutes. And left on his bike, again. I’m going to do some thorough investigating on my own in the morning and then I will call you with what I have. Talk to you later. And Brenda! Be careful. He’s still out there.’

Brenda held the phone in shock. That description fitted Mark to a tee. She remembered what he wore that night. And yes he had on his long leather jacket, hair is red and was down. And he had his shades with him. He knew the girl. He lied to her. He did go home with her.

“OMIGOSH! It is HIM!!! Why else would he had lied to me?!!” She was speaking to herself out loud. Suddenly, the sound of the bike coming closer. She froze on the spot. He’s come back!!! Her heart began to pound rapidly, as her breathing became fast and shallow.

It stopped in front of her room. She waited as she heard it cut off. She backed up to the far wall as she heard the foot steps come towards her door. She jumped at the first sound of the pound on the door. She slid to the floor whimpering silently as she feared her end was near. The pound on the door once again. She cuddled in the corner praying he would go away. Soon the pounding stopped as the footsteps slowly moved away from her door, the bike sounded, it could be heard speeding off down the rode. And then silence.

She stayed in the corner most of the night, in shock. He came back to kill her. She crept towards the bed and slid on it. How could she be so wrong about someone? She allowed the tears to fall as she cried frantically. Sad for a love she could have had and the life she almost lost. She soon succumbed to sleep.

Grant had taken Sharon around town sightseeing. She had enjoyed being with him more than watch he showed her. He had proved to be everything s he had thought he would be. Very sweet, humorous, and always the gentlemen. It was getting late and she was a little worn. He took her back to her car and asked where she was staying. They exchanged phone numbers and he left a very happy man, knowing they will be seeing each other again.

Sharon drove to her motel room very happy she had met someone as nice as Grant. And hoping she would be able to see him again before she had to get back home. She went in to take a shower still thinking how nice it would have been to have him follow her here and.......whoa girl she thought. Just met this man. Don’t want to scare him off. She laughed.

Grant made it back to his home and couldn’t get Sharon off his mind. To find a beautiful lady once is a joy, but to find another exactly the same is glorious. He took her number out and stared at it for a moment deciding if he should call her or not. He didn’t want to come off being too pushy. He elected not to. He went about feeding his animals and went in to get himself ready for bed.

His mind drifted to Sharon and the time he had with her. He also thought about when she had to leave. He was going to make the best of the remainder of her stay there. He began to think how nice it would be to have her in the shower with him at that moment things he could........hey man.....he thought! Gotta take it slow. Don’t want her to think you are one of those aggressive types. He laughed out loud.

Chapter Fourteen

Brenda was jolted out of her sleep when the alarm went off. Jumped straight up in bed, startled. She was still groggy. Finally her head cleared up, she began to remember the night before. She pulled her pillow to her tightening her grip. He had come back for her as he had done the others.

She allow the tears to flow down her cheeks as she thought how could she had been so wrong about him. He was so sweet, gentle, and loving. She couldn’t believe this had happened. How could he be so passionate one moment and supposedly cruel the next?

Her guts told her something wasn’t right here. She needed to find out what the hell was going on here. She threw the pillow aside and jumping out of the bed ran to shower. She was going to finish her investigation. And right now, the woman in the hospital could help her very much.

She allow the water to spill over her body as her thoughts went to Mark once again. She couldn’t shake his touch on her body. His lips on hers, as his tongue slid around in her mouth.

OMIGOSH! She thought. She had to snap out of this. Her undivided attention was needed on this investigation. Finish dressing, she made her way first to the bar the woman was picked up, then to the hotel she stayed and then on to the hospital.

Grant was waiting at the airport for Mark’s plane to come in, as he sat and thought about meeting Sharon later on. She had agreed to go with him tonight to the wrestling show. It turns out she was a big wrestling fan and couldn’t believe she was going to meet the Undertaker.

Then they talk into the morning about different things that had occurred their lives. It appeared her life had been a little hectic at times but she had managed to stay the beautiful person she is. He told her abut his up’s and down’s. But mostly the lingered on the present and the future. He was falling for her already. He was just hating the fact she would be leaving in a few days.

“Hey GRANT!!” Mark hollered in his friends ears seeing he was somewhere else rather. Grant jumped holding his hand on his chest as if it was going to op out.

“Man! What’s wrong with you? You can give someone an heart attack!” Grant said pulling himself together.

“I doubt my screaming in a 6’9”, thirysomething, healthy man as yourself would cause you an heart attack. And anyway! Where were you?” Mark asked with a curious look on his face.

“What ever do you mean?” Grant reply walking away with a sheepish grin on his face.

“Don’t play dumb with me! Who is she?” Mark followed his friend eyes peered at his back as he continued walking.

“She? She who?” Grant had increase his pace.

“Okay! I’m not going to press you! If you want me to know, you’ll tell me.” Mark resigned.

“Well, don’t give up so easily. She is a beautiful woman I met yesterday. And she will be joining me backstage at the wrestling show tonight.” Grant said as he help Mark load his luggage into the Utility Truck.

“Ohhh!” Mark said as he jumped into the passenger side of the truck.

“Oh and Mark! She’s a BIG fan of yours. And can’t wait to meet you!” Grant blurted out as he backed the truck up and sped out of the parking lot, leaving Mark to covering his eyes with his hand and shaking his head.

Chapter Fifteen

Brenda arrived at the bar the woman had picked up the stranger. And after spewing out some heavy bucks, got the low down on the young woman known as June. She was a local bodybuilder who never got the recognition she should have. She worked at one of the Fitness places.

What she learned was she met up with this BIG bouncer looking dude. He stood almost seven feet. Long reddish hair pulled back into a braid, with and black bandana. He wore black jeans boots and a leather jacket the was full length. She seemed very happy and he seemed very attentive with her. They rode away on his BIG HARLEY!

Brenda thanked the man for the information. It didn’t make her feel any better. It still pointed to MARK! She went on to the hotel. Maybe something there may help clear him. She could only hope. The man’s description of how happy the woman was with him and his attentiveness. That described the Mark she knew. Not this fiend who returns to the scene of seduction, to rape assault and even kill. Her heart told her one thing while her head told her another.

She was received a little better at the hotel. The manager was willing to spill the beans. It appears June had been staying there for a month now. Her boyfriend and her had broken up. It seems he sent for her to come out here but neglected to tell her about his wife. She was very angry to say the least. She was working long enough to go back home.

He told about the night of her attack. She came home on a big bike with a huge biker looking fellow. And how they couldn’t keep their hands off each other as they went into her room. You could hear a lot of noises come from that room. Brenda blushed with the last comment.

She then asked about anything strange between the time he left and the time he came back.

“Come back? He didn’t come back! At least it didn’t seem like the same feller!! Ya’ see I have an eye for detail.” He proudly announced.

“Oh that’s nice Mr. King! But what made you think this couldn’t be the same man?” She was staring at him intensely. Any clue would do to clear Mark.

“Weeellll!!! Now that ya’ put it tha’ way! I did turn him in as the one who was with her when he came back the next day looking fer her. And after I told him what happened he nearly freaked, askin’ me what hospital she went to. Yeah ya’ bet I called the police real quick to inform ‘em he had come looking fer the girl.” He was scratching his head.

“Mr. King? You said you didn’t think it was the same person. What gave you the idea it wasn’t the same person?” She continued to look at him

“Well! Unless he keeps two bike close around or live close around. And I can tell ya’ he don’t live near here, because I know everyone who lives in these here parts. Ya’ know what I mean?” He pointed to his eyes as an reminder he has an eye for these things. She nodded impatiently.

“Mr. King please!” She implored. He was taking too much time to get to the point.

“Oh yeah! Well he rode off on this big nice looking Harley I think the call ‘em. Well, when he come back! He was on a red un‘. The one that has ....uh...oh yes! The flames on the side. That’s what was on it, red yellowish flames. Like an demon of somethin’.” Brenda thanked him for the information and headed for the hospital.

She made it to the hospital, she was informed she had been release to her family and her forwarding address couldn’t be given out. Great! She thought. Well she could go back to her room and piece this together.

And then the next best thing was to leave out of here and go to Phoenix. She made it back to her room. Their were messages from her. Mark was one telling her he had made it to Phoenix. And would call her soon. And one from Grant asking her to call him it was urgent. She called Grant.

“Hello, Grant speaking!” He said.

“Hi Grant! You called?” She was packing her things, she had decided to move on before nightfall.

“Yes! I wanted you to come down and visit. I called you at your home but was forwarded here to your cellular. So where exactly are you?” He was curious why she wasn’t in New York.

“I’m in Houston. I’m on a case. And if I told you more I would have to kill you!” She said laughing.

“Oh! So you don’t have time for any leisure!” He asked and answered at the same time. He was trying to get her and Mark together for the night.

“Wellll!!! Actually! I was going to give you a call anyway. I’m leaving in about thirty minutes, heading your way. And I was hoping I could stay with you while I’m there.” She waited for his answer while he zipped up her bag.

“Why of course! Need me to pick you up?” He asked, as she relayed to him the information he needed and hung up the phone.

“So! Who do you have to pick up at the airport?” Mark asked as he came in on the tail in of the conversation. Grant snapped his head in his direction. And trying to keep it an surprise thought of something very quickly.

“Oh I was making some arrangements for the lady I met. That’s all. So you ready for your big night?” Grant changing the subject.

Brenda left the motel room checking out headed for the airport on her way to Phoenix. hoping she would not run into Mark. Well what are the chances, unless he was in touch with Grant. But then Grant would have mention it.

Oh well! She thought. Tomorrow she was going to comb through some of the past newspapers and police files. She had this nagging felling she was coming full circle on this case. How true, she didn’t know.

Chapter Sixteen

Brenda laid on the bed napping from her trip from Houston. She felt the cool breeze from the fan flowing over her body. She had elected to put on her bikini. She laid there meditating, eyes closed. She felt the bed sink in as if under a heavy load, her eyes sprung open, turning in the direction of where the movement originated, stared into dark green eyes.

Her first instinct was to run away, but her heart told her NO! Her body obeyed, as he moved in next to her taking her gently into his arms. He brushed her lips with his. She couldn’t resist him, she responded by parting her mouth, welcoming his long thick tongue in. He obliged.

He had waited so long to have her in the right place and at the right time. He explored every inch of her mouth entwining their tongues, savoring the sweet taste of her. He moved his hands up and own her body stroking everywhere. She wrapped her hands around his neck as she pulled herself close to him. Surrendering to this man she had desired from the moment they kissed in her office.

He touched her breast kneading it with his huge hand, deepening the kiss, as he felt himself becoming arouse by the feel of her in his mouth and in his hand. He pulled the bikini top off and went down to take her nipple into his mouth as Brenda squeal from the sensation...................................

“Miss are you alright?” Asked the Stewardess, as she pass by Brenda, awakening from her dream with an squeal.

Brenda looked around to see if any of the other passenger’s had heard her. A couple looked and went back to whatever they were doing. She was so embarrass she just sunk down in her seat, hiding her face behind an magazine. She didn’t noticed the big man who had come to sit in front of her, until he spoke.

“Hello there! Kinda had a bad dream there, huh?” He said.

She looked up to him from behind the magazine. Her mouth nearly flew opened when she saw how big he was. Almost as big .....no he was as big as Mark!!!! She thought.

“I know what’s goin’ through that pretty head of yours!! He’s of biggin’!!!” He said, as she closed her mouth clearing her throat for her rudeness.

“Sir! Please except my apology. It’s just you remind me of someone!” She continued to stare without realizing it.

Except for the blond hair and blue eyes. He could almost be Mark’s twin. But he didn’t have the tattoos Mark possessed on his arms. The man smiled at her as she continued with her assessment.

“Like what ya’ see? I hope so! Cause Miss Lady! I really do like what I see!” He said sweetly, as she smiled at the compliment.

“And that there fella, I look so much alike. You tell him this for me. You tell him BIG Gus says, if he don’t treat ya right I just might take you away from him. Because out of all the women I have come across. You are a Jewel he should take very good care of.” He smile in such a way, sitting back in his seat gazing into her eyes. Brenda felt a chill go through her body.

She didn’t have time to respond when the announcement came over the intercom that the plane was coming into Phoenix and everyone had to buckle up their seat belts. Brenda gave one last glance at this man before looking out the window as they made their ascent.

He was looking elsewhere when she glance at him. But noticed when she did. He just smiled satisfied he had made an impression on her. The plane came into the airport, skidding down the runway until it slowly came to an halt. Once stopped, the passengers began to leave their seats, as they gather what belongings.

Brenda made her way out the plane and into the airport lobby looking for Grant. Oblivious to the fact she was being followed. A large hand suddenly reached out for her, grabbing her arm and pulling her through the crowd rapidly. She tried to struggle to get free, but they were too strong for her.

She could see she was coming out of the building and heading for a waiting car, she was going to scream, when they covered her mouth and shoveled her into it. She was just gaining her composure when the car sped off. She looked up at the driver and yelled............

Chapter Seventeen

Brenda sat up in the seat to glare at the person who had abducted her, thinking it could only be Mark finding out from Grant she would be coming to Phoenix, grabbed her to finish what he had started the other night. She turned towards him hoping she could plead with him for her life. Then she went into shock to see..................

“Grant! You son of a bitch!” She yelled at him and with balled fist, began hitting him with all she had, Grant stopped the car and tried to grab her swinging arms.

“Brenda! Brenda! What has gotten into you?” He was confused at her action. She had never been so angry with his pranks before.

He captured her arms in his large hands firmly, holding her. She went into hysterics and began to cry harder than she had that night, when she heard Him come back to take her life. Grant brought her close to his chest and began stroking her gently, speaking soothing and comforting words to her.

“Brenda! What is going on here? Why are you so upset? What has happened to you?” He knew his Brenda. She is a strong woman.

Something has happened since he last seen her. And he intended to find out. She leaned into him for his strength. She knew Grant, he would not stop at anything to find out what was going on. She had to divert him.

She didn’t want him to now about her suspicions of Mark. It would kill him to know his friend may be an murder and rapist. And it would hurt him even worst to know he had tried to kill her. Since he had been the one to introduce him to her. Thinking fast.

“Grant! I’m alright!” She said pulling her head back slightly to look into his dark eyes.

“It’s this stupid case I’m on! It just gives me the willies.” She leaned back into his chest not wanting him to see her eyes. He could tell when she was lying.

“And then I met this weird man on the plane! He could past for Mark’s twin. It was the way he spoke to me, about taking me away from the man I said he reminded me of.” She paused as if actually reliving that moment. It was something strange about that scene she couldn’t put her finger on.

“And I took it as an flirt, but the way he looked at me and sounded, is what gave me chills. So when you grabbed me, I thought it was him kidnapping me.” She was breathing more calmly now. She pulled up from his chest, smiled at him reassuring. He gave her a long glance, seeing she seemed alright, started the car for home. She let out an silent sigh.

Chapter Eighteen

Grant and Brenda made it back to the ranch. She was amazed how much work he had done to the place and complimented him on how nice it looked. He was so proud of himself, walking around with his chest stuck out saying he did do a get job didn’t he? She just laughed at his antics, as always. She knew he was trying to cheer her up.

He showed her to her room, as if she didn’t know. And informed her he had an appointment he needed to keep. She raised her eyebrow as he seemed very vague about this appointment. And watched him whistling out the door with a little pep in his steps, as he jumped in his truck heading out.

“Hmmmmmm!! He seems very happy about this......appointment. I wonder who she is?” She said to herself knowing Grant. And hoped this was someone who could keep him as happy as he seemed now.

Brenda went to unpack her things and decided to take a shower. The bathroom was located down the hall. But old habits die hard. She decided to use Grant’s in the Master bedroom. She went in, closing the door behind her, turned on the shower and disrobed. She stepped into the shower, allowing the steamy waters to caress her tensed muscles.

Mark drove up, not seeing Grant when he left. It had been an hard workout at the arena.
He was tired and sweaty. He went to his room and removed his clothes to take a shower. Wrapped his towel around him, went down the hall to the bathroom.

Brenda had just finish showering. And with Grant gone to his appointment, went to the living room to turned on some music, for a little relaxation.

She sauntered around the room throwing the towel off, no one was there but her. She laid down on the couch stretched out, listening to the music.

At the same time the music started Mark had turned on the shower and stepped quickly under it. He washed his self down as he thought of Brenda and wondered where she was now.

He had called the motel she was staying and they had informed him she had checked out sometime this morning. He was very concerned for her. She had just come into his life and he wasn’t planning on having her leave no time soon.

He stepped out of the shower after turning it off. He heard the music coming from the living room, thinking it must be Grant, wrapped his towel around him and emerged from the bathroom heading towards the music.

He came around the corner and paused, as he looked upon the beautiful sight before him. He was in sheer heaven. She never noticed the pair of eyes fixed on her, as she laid there drifted off to sleep.

Chapter Nineteen

Mark couldn’t believe his eyes as he slowly made his way over to the couch where Brenda slept. He wondered why Grant never told him she was coming. Then he realized who the person Grant was speaking to on the phone this morning. It was her!

He bowed down near her, she never stirred from her slumber. He shouldn’t really be looking at her while she was so vulnerable. But, he couldn’t help himself. He had wanted her from the moment he met her. He touched her face with the back of his hand softly.

She stirred slightly. He pulled his hand back not wanting to wake. He touched her lips with his. She shifted on the couch as she mumbled his name.

Brenda was standing before Mark as he stared down on her. He moved towards her and wrapping his arm around her, pulled her to him and began kissing her hungrily. She pressed into his body, allowing him to explore her mouth with his tongue. He gently caress her body with his hands. She bent her head back and whispered his name.

Mark stared at her in wonderment, hearing her saying his name. She was dreaming about him. He covered her mouth with his and kissed her hard, allowing his tongue to slip into her wet tasty mouth. She swung her arms around his neck in response. He wanted so badly to lay beside her, but instead decided to pick her up off the couch and take her to his room.

Brenda felt herself being lifted up into his arms and carried. WHEN! Her eyes suddenly flew open, she could see she was moving through the house. She felt she felt she was in someone’s arms. She turned to look into Mark’s dark eyes, she realized she was absence of her clothing. FEAR struck as she remembered what happened the other night.

“Put me down!” She screamed. Mark stared at her confused at her actions.

“I’m warning you for the last time! PUT ME DOWN!!!!“ She yelled at him.

“Brenda, darlin’ what.......” He never finished, she slapped him as hard as she could causing him to release her, to put his had where hers had just left. She hit the floor with an thump, got up and ran to her room, closing the door behind and locking it. She leaned against the door terrified she had just made him angry and had now sealed her fate.

Mark stood froze to the spot wondering what had gotten into her. His face was still stinging where she had laid her palm. He walked to her room. He needed answers.

“Brenda! What is wrong with ya’ girl?” He asked and waited for a response.

She jumped backwards at the sound of his voice. But also felt something else. She couldn’t describe it. As much as she didn’t want him in, that’s how much she did.

“Look girl! I’m not a patient man. You and I almost had something going the last time I saw you! What have I done so drastic to change that in such a short time?” He asked more confused than ever.

“Just go away Mark. Please!” Yea! What was she to tell him. You tried to kill me! She thought.

She turned to walk to her bed and throw herself on it, when she heard before she snapped her head around to see the door crash open. And on the other side stood an angry Mark.

‘UH-OH!!’ She thought. This isn’t good. No, not at all.

Chapter Twenty

Mark stood in the doorway momentarily, watching Brenda as she stood next to the bed. He made a step towards her, she moved back into the bed, with terror in her eyes. He looked at her with such confusion and pain. Then finally, their eyes locked on each other.

They stood staring into each other’s eyes, they were both confused at what was happening. An overwhelming sensation flowed from one to the another. Mark felt it more than Brenda, who was having mixed emotions.

She couldn’t decide if this man was a rapist/killer or the man she had strong feelings. Mark made the decision for her. He had no doubts he wanted her. And the tension in the air just made it more evident.

Without another thought and two of his strides, Mark had bridge the gap between them, she was in his arms. Before she could make any protest, his mouth had clamped onto hers. His tongue tasting her, began to search and probe every inch of her orifice. He hungered for her and no matter what tomorrow will bring, he will feast today.
She fought him as hard as she could, beating his chest with her clenched fists. He pulled her tighter to him refusing to let her go. His kiss deepened, his tongue snaked its way, touching, flickering and entwining with her own tongue.

She was giving into the pleasure of feeling his long, thick tongue in her mouth, touching each sensitive spot. He knew what turned her on, he was making this very difficult to resist him. Her strikes became weaker and weaker! He left her warm moist mouth, and moved to her cheek, up to her ear and started on her ear lobe, nibbling gently.

Her breath was now shallow and rapid. He was at her throat now, pecking softly, then licking and sucking, leaving his love mark as an warning to all, this belongs to him.

Her last strike (if that’s what you can call it) was open handed, as it fell on his chest, coming to rest there. The other slid down his back and laid comfortably on his buttocks, her breathing intensified.

She groaned at the feel of his lips on her. She let out a small squeal, as his mouth closed around her nipple and his large hand engulfed her breast, kneading and massaging. She felt the wetness of her womanhood.

He pulled her up to him, she wrapped her legs around his waist, leaning backwards exposing her firm breast. She was in pure heaven. She couldn’t believe she had just a few moments ago ordered him to leave her alone.

Mark laid her on the bed, ripped his towel off. She scooted back on her elbows, gasping at the size of him. He moved onto the bed, approaching her like an animal stalking his prey. And yet he was, she was the meal he desired now.

He hovered over her, his arms blocking her in and under him. He glanced down into her eyes, now they showed the same burning fires in him. His heart leaped, from the electricity coursing between them.

He lowered himself to her, knowing he had did the right thing, to force the issue, he wasn’t letting her go ever!!

Chapter Twenty-One

Mark slide down next to Brenda, draping his huge arm and leg over her small body, he pulled her closer to him. He had captured her, he knew it! He laid his head on his other arm, as she watched him. Her chest rose and fell with every breath.

She noticed how he reminded her of an lion, his red mane fell loosely over his shoulder. His green eyes darken with passion. She reached and clenched a lock of hair into her hand. Feeling the smooth silkiness of it. She drew herself to him as their hot bodies touched and trembled in anticipation for the other.

“You have nothing to fear from me, Lovely Lady! I have no plans of hurting you in anyway, but lovingly.“ He stroked her cheek with the back of his hand softly, lifted himself up on his elbow and began kissing, sucking and licking her lips.

She took his tongue into her mouth and sucked on it, sliding it in and out of her mouth, as if she was sucking on a popsicle. He groaned from the sheer pleasure of her now responding to him. He moved his hand over her body, touching and exploring the dark soft velvet skin.

She arched her back moving herself into him as if she could mode them together. Mark was happy at this, he left her mouth and lowered himself to her pleasure zone. She watched him move downwards and gasped, as he looked up at her from between her legs and smiled demonically.

He captured the desire of his intent, fully into his mouth, his tongue moved in and out tasting the sweet nectar of her flower and nibble on her hard nub. She raised her hips high off the bed, as her eyes widen and she tried reaching for something, anything to hold onto, as he let her have all that he had waited to give her, since that moment in her office when they felt the fires in each other.

He took her legs and pulled them over his shoulder, going went deeper and deeper into her, touching spots she never knew existed. She screamed once or twice she wasn’t counting, she was reveling in this beautiful man, who had chosen her to unleash his concupiscence upon.

Finally, unable to withstand his onslaught, she grabbed a handful of hair with both hands and hung on, as she felt herself rising to new heights. He began ravishing her, as if he couldn’t get enough of her.

She yelled out his name as her body began convulsing, she came clenching his hair, pulling herself up. He lifted her up and held her there, drinking of her juices as they flowed freely.

He laid her gently on the bed, after he had satisfied his thirst, watched as she rolled from side to side, holding herself, as her body slowly came to the end of the jerking motion.

He smiled and laid down beside her holding her in his arms. He was contented, but he had something more to give to her. It had been a long time since he felt so complete with anyone.

She was almost drifting off to sleep. He kissed her forehead gently, as he cradled her head in his arm, helping her to recover. He could wait for her to regain her strength.

Yes, he could wait. He needed her to know, how much he felt for her. And if it took all night. He wasn’t leaving her room until he had done just that.

Chapter Twenty-Two

“Hey lil’ darlin’! How are you feelin’” He asked as he laid his hand lightly on her cheek, seeing she had begun to stir. She looked up at him, stretching with an smile on her face, she turned towards him.

“I’m feeling fine, Mark!” She answered in a voice just above an whisper.

She had made her mind up! She was going to prove, this man who had just exemplified such love and passion. Couldn’t turn around and destroy something he had express so much emotion.

As verification to her thoughts. Mark leaned in and delicately kissed her lips. She touched his cheek and began to nibble on his lips.

“Good!” He said as he lifted his face just enough to allow a tiny space between their lips.

He went back to her lips as she pulled into him, totally surrendering herself to him. He moved his hand down over her breast, stopping to rub her stomach and landed on her dark patch just above her womanhood.

He moved his lips to her nipple, now hard and tender, began slowly sucking, licking his tongue over its tip. She let out a small breath. His hand moved down between her legs massaging and rubbing, as he parted them.

Then he slid his finger between her lower lips, feeling the hot wetness. She moaned softly at the sensation of him touching her, in the now sensitive area.

Her labias were swollen from his last encounter with them. He parted the outer lips with two fingers while the third began flicking her clit.

Her body slightly bucked at the rising sensual feelings coursing through her body, touching every nerve ending, as she anticipated having him give all of himself to her.

She cuddled his head in her arms, moaning more loudly, as he continued with her nipples going from one to the other. He moved his finger into her well satiated opening, moving in and out.

She lifted her hips in acceptance. He slowly added another finger continuing his movement. Seeing she was relaxed with this added the third, as her hips began to move along with his fingers. He knew she was ready.

He moved over her, positioning himself between her legs, parting them more, permitting him easily access. She wrapped her arms and legs around him, as she prepared for him.

She didn’t have to wait long, as he gently thrust his hips forward, penetrating her tight muscles with his large hard one.

“Oh! Baby!” He groaned as he entered her, feeling her lining collapse around him.

With each thrust he slowly moved inward, pausing to allow her to adjust to his size. He kissed her neck as he held her in his arms, he could hear her whimpering, as she took him into her. He felt the tears on her cheek, as shifted her body.

She hung onto Mark, tightening her grip, as she felt his fullness when he entered her. It felt she would tear, as she was stretched to accompany his size.

He continued with the rhythm. And soon she found her hips were moving in time with his thrust. They continued harder and faster as heavy breathing, groans and moans filled the room. Soon they were in one with each other.

“Oh Mark! I love you.” She said hoarsely, she knew with this outburst, it was true. He had made her feel like no man had ever made her.

Mark hearing this thrust even deeper into her, wanting to touch every inch of her, she cried out from the mixture of pain and pleasure.

Mark flipped over onto his back, carrying her with him, as they remained joined. She took him all the way inside her, squirming to get comfortable with his deeper penetration. He laid there giving her time to get use to him, as he noticed the tears forming in he eyes.

But she soon began moving, sliding up and own his shaft, as her juices became an lubricate. She was feeling the fire with each of her thrusts and new sensations flowed
through her body. She found herself pumping her hips harder and harder, her appetite for him had increased to enormous portions.

Mark was gripping the sheets, head digging into the pillow, eyes rolled back in head and hips up in the air, taking this beautiful woman’s love, as she finally began to give to him her love.

Mark unable to contain himself any longer, flipped her over onto her back and they continued their lovemaking, until they reached the height of the raging flames, festering in the deepest part of them.

They came with an explosion of love, frustrations, fear, pain, doubts, and all the feelings these two and endured since the day they cast their eyes on each other. She screamed his name and he yelled hers. They plummeted to the earth, spent of every iota of energy.

They laid in each other’s arms, finally fulfilled. They drifted off to sleep.

Chapter Twenty-Three

Mark had just began to stir when he heard Grant’s truck driving up. He looked around at the clock, his mind finally coming into focus, realized time was late and he needed to be at the arena in thirty minutes. Mark looked down at Brenda lying next to him deep in sleep. Not wanting to arouse her, slowly eased out of the bed gathering his towel and wrapping it around his waist.

He smiled down on the dark beauty lying so peacefully in the bed. And smiled as his mind replayed the passionate afternoon they shared. He bent down and gave her a light kiss on the lips, paused when she slightly moved. When she settled down, he turned and walked to the door.

He opened the door, hearing the front doorknob jiggling, not wanting to be found in a compromising situation. Left her room closing the door behind him and went to the bathroom to prepare for the night.

Grant opened the door and allow Sharon to enter before him. Showing his gentlemanly ways. She looked around the ranch style decor and from the look on her face he could see she was very impress.

“Very lovely place you have here Grant.” She continued to look around.

“Why thank you! I’m glad you approve of it!” He was really putting on the dog.

“Yes! I do!” She turned to him staring into his eyes.

Grant felt his heart flutter. He hadn’t noticed before. But she had the prettiest seductive brown eyes. They looked right through you. She watched as he approached her, bending down to kiss her. They embrace in a long sensual kiss.

Brenda woke stretching her arms as she turned to see that Mark had left. She sat up for a moment, smiled as she went back over the lovemaking between them. She let out a laugh as she laid back in the bed thank all that is for not making the mistake of turning him away. She jumped up to go find him, putting on her bathrobe, emerging from her room.

“Mark! Where did you go?” Brenda asked as she came out of her room, tying her bathrobe. Looking first towards the living room thinking he may have gone to get something to eat.

When she heard the shower going, smiled devilishly and made her way to the bathroom. She quietly opened the door. Slipping out of her robe, eased her way into the shower behind him.

He had his head under the running water and jumped when he felt the soft small arms encircle him. He quickly grabbed them, turning to look down at her. He smiled art her initiative.

“As much as I would love to take you here and now my lil’ darlin’! Trust me when I say this is not the time or place for this!“ He said as he gave her a gently kiss on the lips.

“Oh! I see you want to play hard to get, huh?“ She said, as he pulled his mouth away from her. She brought herself close to him letting her hands brush the front of his trunk.

“No, baby! I would never play hard to get with ya’! Ya’ already have me. But I don’t think you want to have to face Grant afterwards, seeing he is hear and possibly with his new Lady!“ He said as she gasped. He nodded his head.

She quickly jumped out of the shower throwing on her robed, looked down the hallway to see if the coast was clear and ran to her room. Mark just smiled and shook his head, leaning back against the wall and thought of how much he wished Grant hadn’t come home at this time. And made a mental note, another day and time, they would finish would do this one again.

Brenda finish putting on her clothes, walked into the scene at hand. Grant released Sharon and turned to look at Brenda standing in the archway. The three stared at each other. Grant and her gave each other a knowing look. She turned her eyes to the floor embarrassed, smiling.

“Brenda! Come here and meet a friend I met the other day. She’s from California. Brenda, Sharon. Sharon my long time friend, Brenda.” Brenda came towards the two and staring at Sharon, offered her hand..

She sized Sharon up and instinctively knew Grant had found him someone who could make him happy. And after today with Mark. She wanted him to share what she had found in MARK.

“Hi Sharon! Any friend of Grant is certainly a friend of mine.” Brenda welcome Sharon.

“Thanks Brenda. You don’t know how good that makes me feel.” She said, receiving Brenda’s hand. After hearing this, Brenda knew Grant had been totally honest with her about who she had been in his life. Now she knew, that this relationship had developed into a good one very quickly.

“Well Grant! Since ya’ introducing the pretty lady ya’ might as well introduce her to me.” All eyes turned towards Mark clad in only the towel wrapped around his waist.

Brenda and Mark gave each other a quick glance which Grant caught and smiled.

Chapter Twenty-Four

Grant gave Brenda a devious smile as he passed her heading towards Mark. She turned her head the other way, not wanting to reveal there was more than friendship shared between Mark and her.

Mark watched this exchange between the two friends. Looked pass Grant and at the woman standing in the living room, apparently mesmerized by him. He figured she knew who he was, so not wanting to seem rude, gave her a beautiful smile. Then turned his gaze on Grant approaching him.

Sharon stood in awe of seeing her favorite wrestler, The Undertaker. She had been his fan for some years and never in her dreams did she ever think she would meet him. And in a towel wrapped around his waist at that, showing all of his masculinity. OH! Was she thrilled!!!

She stood composed, but inside she was having a party. She didn’t want to come off as this crazed fan. So she waited for Grant to introduce them.

Grant turned to introduce Mark to his new found girlfriend, to let him tell it. Mark never gave him the chance. He sauntered pass Grant and up to Sharon, taking her hand into his, gave it a gentle peck.

She looked completely dumbfounded as her hand was engulfed in his and his lips touching it, softly. She was speechless, breathless, her heart was pounding fiercely, her mouth and eyes wide opened.

She finally took a BIG gulp. As she stared up into the most gorgeous green eyes she has ever seen. She felt she would faint at this moment. She knew he was huge, but she didn’t realize how huge until he stood before her and she stood just above the area his belly button would be if exposed.

“Hello Lovely Lady! I see Grant has done it again.” He said as he released her hand and walked back to Grant.

“Mark, this is Sharon! Sharon, this is Mark. My wrestling friend I told you about. He is the reason we will be backstage.” Grant said as he toss Mark a warning look.

Sharon stood looking at her hand, as if it was going to fall off. Finally, regaining what was left of her senses, she turned and nodded at Mark in acknowledgement of the introduction.

“Well people! I must get ready and get to the arena before Vince has my head. See Ya’ll there!” He gave one last glance at Brenda who smiled sheepishly and left to get ready to leave.

“That was The Undertaker! You didn’t tell me you new the Undertaker. Oh, no one will believe this. I actually saw him up close and personal. Oh Grant, thank you, thank you, thank you!” She wrapped her arms around his neck and put a long wet one on his lips.

Brenda smiled as she watched how well this woman treated Grant. She was in the room with Mark clad in a towel, who went over and kissed her hand, being charming and comes out this is her favorite wrestler.

And what does she do? Kiss the hell out of Grant, thanking him for the surprise meeting with her favorite wrestler. She walked away leaving the two to their privacy.

Mark had dressed, came into the room where Grant and Sharon sat next to each other on the couch. He didn’t want to say anything but with the absence of Brenda he figured they were making out. He said his goodbyes, not wanting to look suspicious, looked to Brenda’s room hoping she would come out so he could say goodbye until tonight.

“If you’re looking for Brenda! She left a few minutes ago. Said she had to do something before going to the show tonight.” Grant informed Mark with a nod of the head and a wily smile.

Mark gave him a glare and thanked him for the information. Told Sharon he was looking forward to getting to know her better after the show. She was ecstatic.

Brenda had went to the local police department she once worked for. They were glad to see her. It was like an reunion. She was able to convince them to let her look over a file in particular.

“So she’s back huh? Well, I will have to take care of that.” Someone was watching her very closely.

Chapter Twenty-Five

“So, Brenda! What brings you back here?” The voice flowed over her shoulder, causing her to turned at the familiar voice.

“Lynne! I see they still have you here! Things just don’t get better, they seem to stay the same.” She watched as the woman came around in front of her.

“I see you’re still that cocky little bitch as you were when you were here.” Lynne sat on the table across from Brenda.

“Look Lynne! I’m here on official business. Now if you’re having a bad day go take it out on someone else.” Brenda glared at the woman who was once her partner.

“On official business! HA! Don’t make me laugh. You’re nothing but a lowly Dick!” She sneered at Brenda.

“Well if so! I’m a good Dick!” She smiled devilishly at her ex-partner.

“And of course the same little a@$hole as you always have been. Let me give you an warning. I made it to Lt. now. And if you think you’re coming back to the force. Think again. We don’t need you here! You walked out on us. Remember that!” She said this with a hint of sadness and anger, in her voice as she gave her one last glare before leaving the room. Brenda never saw the tears forming in her once partner/friend’s eyes.

Brenda sat for a few moments, as she thought about how close they once were and now how far they have grown. She turned back to the files as she spotted what she was looking for.

Grant and Sharon had waited as long as they could for Brenda, thinking she may want to get a ride to the arena! Grant gave her a call on his cellular.

“Hey Bren! You going to the arena with us?” He asked as he held Sharon close to him.

“OH man! Oh yes! The show is tonight! Look go on and I’ll meet you there.” She said as she closed the files and got up from the table.

“Are you sure? We can wait for you!” Grant asked.

“No! I’m sure. I have one more thing to do before I leave and then I’m coming on!” She handed the files to the one of her friends as she waved goodbye to all of them heading out the door.

“Okay if you’re sure? We’ll see you there!” He said.

“Yeah I’m sure! See ya there! Bye!” She hung the phone up and went to her car as she looked up to the doorway of the police station to see Lynne staring at her. They shared glances for a moment, Lynne turned and went back the station.

Brenda looked down at the ground momentarily, then unlocked her car door to go to the library. There was one more piece of info she needed. Lynne came over to the policeman who had the file. She asked for it and took it into her office. She looked over it thoroughly. Wondering why after so much time would Brenda be interested in this dead issue. She made it her plan to fine out. She left to find Brenda.

Brenda was in the library looking over some events that took place in town, during the time of the case on file. She had an hunch she needed to follow. She came to a date and there staring her in the face was the answer. Why didn’t she see this before? It was obvious. She closed up the paper and checked it back in as she left for the arena.

Lynne stepped from behind an aisle and asked for the paper Brenda had just handed in. She looked over the contents, still confused as to why she had opened these can of worms. She took a copy of this and left to go back to the station.

Brenda headed down the road, decided she would go and change into something more dazzling for Mark. She had made it out of town when her car sputtered and stopped on her.

“Damn!” She said loudly, gripping the steering wheel.

She looked down at the dashboard seeing the gas was full. Couldn’t figure out why her car had stopped. It was getting late, the sun was slowly going down. She thought of calling Grant and then gave it a second thought. He would’ve been well on his way to the arena by now.

She decided to walk the distance. She would see if all her workouts had paid off. She had walked a few feet when she heard the unmistaken sound of a motorcycle approaching. She stopped in her tracks, turning her head in its direction. Her mind went to the possibility, that someone may have tampered with her car. There was nowhere to hide, as seeing this was opened space.

She decided she needed to get off the road. Maybe if she could take off running across the field. She could make it to one of the homes and once safe, call for help.

The motorcycle was rapidly approaching. She went for broke. She climbed the fence and took off over the field heading for anywhere but on the road. She heard the motorcycle come up and pause behind her for a few moments.

He must have spotted her. She ran faster as if her life depended on it. And as far as she was concerned it did. She heard him speed off. She looked to see him going on down the road at a great speed. Stopping to catch her breath, she sat down. She had just caught her breath and rose to her feet to start across the field, when she looked up, across the field sat the person on the motorcycle.

Gripped with fear, she looked around for some type of hiding place, hoping he had not spotted her. Too late! He reveled up his bike and started towards her. Brenda took off running as the only thing she knew to do. She could hear the bike upon her as she ran as fast as her feet were able to carry her. But her legs were no match for the bike, as it came up beside her.

Suddenly, she felt the large arm encircle her waist lifting her up in the air and unto the bike. She became frantic as she fought the person hard screaming and crying all at once. As large as the person seemed to be her licks had no effect on him as he drove on with her close to in front of her.

She tried to not let her fear overcome her but this was too much for her to withstand. Her life unfolded before her as she saw him taking her to an unknown destination. She cried as she thought of MARK!

Chapter Twenty-Six

As Brenda sped down the road astride the motorcycle, her thoughts went to the night she mistaken it to be Mark coming back to take her life. But seeing this huge man sitting behind, her guiding the bike apparently to her finally resting place, she realized, Mark has someone impersonating him. Now, she regretted she hadn’t been honest with anyone about the case she was on.

She turned to get a good look at the man who was speeding away with her. She couldn’t get a look at his face. He had on dark glasses. A hood covered his head, he wore a heavy jacket to enhance his size.

But, she could tell he was as if not as large as Mark. He never spoke a word he kept his eyes fix ahead as he rode on down the road. She could see the lights emanating from the city. She felt he would take her there to some alley way and dispose of her.

Tears began to pour out of her eyes and the wind whipping pass her face and stricken with fear, Brenda clung to the jacket of the man who would take her to a unknown destination, to do to her what he had done to the other women who files she possess. She closed her eyes and prayed that by some miracle help would come her way.

She opened her eyes to see that they were coming into the city as expected. They went through the streets head down areas she was not familiar. Soon they came to a big building she couldn’t make out as the went down onto a underground garage. The entrance way was dimly lit but as they came further in she could make out where they were. Her eyes widen as her bottom jaw dropped, she began to cry uncontrollably. Then she fainted as the man caught her in his arms.

“What did you do to her?” Mark cried as he took Brenda’s limped body from Glenn.

“Man I do you a favor and what do you give me. Not one thank you!” Glenn snapped as he laid her gently in the arms of Mark.

“Okay Man! You’re right! What happened?” Mark looked at Glenn!

“I was on my way hear from visiting a friend. I saw this car stranded on the road. I came up and I saw someone running across the field. I figured maybe I could give them a helping hand.” Glenn said matter of fact.

“When I came around to the field, I thought I lost them, until I saw her get up. She gave me one glance and took off running. I felt she must have thought I was some stalker or something. So I reveled up my bike, came upon her, grabbed her up like in one of those Old Western movies, swung her onto my bike and rode off into the sunset, bringing her here to you!“ Glenn said, as he folded his arms across his chest sneering at Mark. Mark looked at Glenn amazed.

“Man I thank you for bringing her hear to me! But you have a serious problem you need to see about! As you can see, she is frighten out of her wits.” He just shook his head, giving Glenn a disdainful look and walked away with Brenda in his arms, as he held her close to him. Glenn’s smiled turned to a hard frown as his eyes narrowed.

“Mark! What happened? Is she alright?” Grant getting up from the couch, as Mark came through the door holding Brenda.

“I think she’s alright! She was scared to death by a sick prank of a friend of mine.” Mark said as he laid her down on the couch. Sharon went over to the table to get some water.

“Watch her Grant! I’m going to get the Doc.” He laid a hand on Grant’s shoulder and giving him a worried look, turned to go out the door. Grant knew then, Mark was truly hooked on Brenda.

Meanwhile, Glenn had entered his room! He threw his jacket over in a corner. He slumped down into a chair, swinging his leg over the arm. He ran his hand over his face. He realized what he had done wasn’t very nice. But why should she be so afraid of him?

He hadn’t done anything to hurt her. He thought he would just have a little fun. How did he know she would take it to the extreme and faint? Boy! Women are all the same! This big put on as being so independent, but giving the chance they are all weak. Little leagues in a Major League game. Well, maybe he would make it an point to make her see the light. After Mark sees her tonight as he always see his little sluts.

Chapter Twenty-Seven

A car came up beside Brenda’s car. The occupant stepped out of their vehicle, looked around the area, seeing if they couldn’t spot the owner of the car. Not seeing anyone about, went over to the car glanced in it, saw her purse, reached in and removed the purse, searching through it, found her driver’s license. Looked it over, taking note, left with it in hand.

Brenda finally began to stir, Mark stroked her cheek with the back of his hand. Grant stood behind him with his arm wrapped around Sharon. Soon she opened her eyes and let her eyes wander around the room until she focus in on Mark.

Her mind becoming clear, she began to panic, remember the ordeal she had just been through. She tried to catch her breath. Mark took her into his arms as he began rubbing his hand up and down her back.

“Brenda, darlin’! It’s alright! I got cha’!” He whispered in her ear.

“Oh Mark! I’ve been a fool! I should have told all of you what has been happening!” She began to cry.

“Brenda! Maybe we should leave! I’ll take her home! She is in no shape to be here tonight!” Sharon suggested.

“Wait! What do you mean about telling us about what’s been going on?” Mark pulled Brenda slightly away from him staring into her eyes.

“Oh Undertaker! Can’t this wait! She needs to be at home resting.” Sharon pleaded with him. Mark turned and glared at Sharon and just as quick soften his stare realizing she was just trying to be helpful. But most of all she was right. Brenda needed to be home resting.

“Okay! You’re right! Brenda! Sharon’s going to take you home. Will you be alright?” He asked as he gazed back into her eyes.

“Yes! I’ll be alright. Maybe a nice shower and in the bed will do me some good.” She looked into the green concerned eyes of Mark’s.

“Tomorrow I have something I need to reveal to all of you!” She said as she was assisted on her feet by Mark.

“Wait you two! I’m going with you!” Grant said as he looked to Sharon.

He had this foreboding feeling in the pit of his stomach. Something wasn’t right here. He has known Brenda for sometime as a friend and as a lover. She has the nerves of steel. Why would she get so hysterical of someone coming to assist her.

“No Grant! We’ll be alright. You stay with Mark and enjoyed the show. I’ll take this time to get to know Sharon.” Brenda said as she turned and smiled at Sharon.

“Yeah! We’ll just have a girl’s nite in” She wrapped her arms around his waist reassuringly.

“Okay! You tow take my car! I’ll come back wit Mark.” Grant said and kissed Sharon gently on the lips.

“I’ll explain everything to you later. I love you Mark!” Brenda proclaimed.

Mark was startled, as she lifted herself on her toes wrapping her arms around his neck giving him a long hard kiss. Allowing her tongue to slide pass his lips. Mark groaned pulling her close to him.

Grant turned to Sharon smiling, as she nodded her head, they left the room giving the tow some privacy. Glenn came up to Grant, staring at Mark’s door, wondering what was going on. He turned towards Grant and Sharon standing in front of it. They returned to the glare.

“Is your friend okay?” He asked.

“Yes! No thanks to you? Glenn man what is wrong with you! Mark’s been telling me you have been acting a complete a#@hole lately!” Grant walked up to Glenn!

“Oh really? Mark needs to mind his own business and keep his sluts in line!” Glenn snarled at Grant! Grant started towards him but Sharon grabbed his arm. Grant touched her hand, letting her know it was alright.

“Glenn I have known you since Mark and I met up with each other again. I always thought highly of you! Brenda is one fine woman. And Mark’s lucky to have her in his life. So when you are in my presence, you will address her in a mannerly way. Or you and I will have it out.” Grant gripped Sharon’s hand lightly as he told Glenn what he needed to hear.

“Okay Grant! I see you and Mark are both authorities on the difference between women! Well that’s alright with me. I’ll be seeing you lil’ lady!” Glenn walked away, not before he tilted his head towards Sharon. She moved to behind Grant.

“Who is that man Grant?” Sharon asked as she watched Glenn walk away!

“Sharon! You don’t know Glenn/Kane?” He laughed.

“That’s Glenn/Kane?” She asked.

“Yes My sweet?” He looked at her surprise she didn’t know Glenn/Kane.

Chapter Twenty-Eight

Sharon drove Brenda back to Grant’s house. As they entered, Brenda informed Sharon she was going to take a quick shower and told her to make her self at home. Brenda headed toward he room.

She quietly closed the door behind her, leaning on it for a moment as her mind drifted back to the nights events. She turned and moved slowly over to her bed, slumped down on it. Exhausted as the shock faded away and reality set in.

She covered her face with her hands and began to let out the outburst of tears she was holding in during the time she first came around from her unconsciousness and after her mind allow her to remember the ordeal. as she begun t cry once again. She has been through so much in the last week she doesn’t no if she will be able to take anymore.

She knows she has to share this with someone. But who? If she tells Mark! He’ll be so hurt that she would believe him capable of doing such a hideous thing. She doesn’t know Sharon that well to confide anything of this magnitude to her.

Grant! He has always been so understanding. No! No! No! She thought. She wasn’t going to put him in this like that! She would tell both him and Mark! And except the consequences.

She removed her clothing and headed out her bedroom door, with her towel wrapped around her. She could hear Sharon messing around in the kitchen as she headed for the bathroom.

She closed the door behind her and unwrapped the towel allowing it to fall to the floor. She turned on the shower to let the water heat up. She took a look at her self for the first time in days in the mirror. She could see the faint dark circles beginning to form underneath her eyes. She shook her head and stepped into the shower.

Sharon was busy in the kitchen preparing her and Brenda something to eat. She was admiring the way Grant had decorated his house. She found everything so easily as if everything was made to order. She paused as she thought she heard a noise coming from outside. She started to go tell Brenda but decided she didn’t need to be spooked anymore than she had already been.

She opened the door and stepped outside to see if she could see anything. Once again the noise came. She went to the other side of the porch to peer out in the open field and around the side of the house. Nothing! She went to look towards the road, she couldn’t see anything.

She saw the dog lying quietly on the porch without flinching a muscle, sleep. So she shrugged her shoulders, started back into the house. As she made it to the doorway, she heard a BIG crash from behind her. She jumped, turning in mid air and screamed at the same time, in the direction from the loud noise.

Lynne looked over the file Brenda had scanned through earlier. It was the young woman found dead during the time they were still partners. She found this strange as, it was the case that made her decide to leave the force. And yet she come back several years later to moll over something that has been dead (no pun intended) for long.

She took the event sheet and looked over to see what the connection of the two. She lifted her head up and took her chin between her fingers. She thought, if she knew Brenda, she is on to something. And if she knew her she was probably over her head.

She took one last glance over the file and sheet before her. Then it struck her! No! She couldn’t be on the same case! Yeah! Brenda is a sharp cookie! She wouldn’t come back and dredge up this old case unless she felt the present ones were connected.

She closed up her files and gathering her things she left the station to seek out Brenda. She figured where she would find her, if she was in town. She headed to Grant’s Ranch!

“Glenn! Glenn!” The voice sounded outside the room of Mark’s. He had just finished his segment of the show. He looked up to Grant when he heard them calling.

“I guess Glenn got lost!” Grant chuckled as he looked up from the magazine at Mark!

“You are right Man! He was acting really an a#$ with Sharon and me. I won’t even tell you what he said concerning Brenda.” He looked back down at the mag.

“Yeah! And I don’t want to know! You no something else........” He never finished as a knock came at his door.

“Yeah!” He said as he walked over to the door.

“I hate to bug you! But by any miracle is Glenn in there with you?” Jim Dotson asked, appearing a little ruffled.

“No Jim! He ain’t in here!” Mark told him. Jim threw his hands in the air going off mumbling something about these high strung wrestlers. Mark stood in the doorway for a moment, then finally shutting it.

“What’s wrong, Mark?” Grant asked observing the look on Mark’s face.

“Man! That’s not like Glenn! I don’t know what is going on with him! He won’t tell me anything!” Mark ran his fingers through his hair.

“Well he acted so weird out there I almost laughed my head off when Sharon asked if me who that man was?” Grant turned his eyes back to the mag. Mark held his ha

“What did you just say?” Mark asked turning to him.

“What?” Grant was confused. Mark came over to stand over him as if a light lit in his head.

“You said Sharon asked you who Glenn was? If she knew me, wouldn’t she know Glenn also?” Mark had his hands on his hips now. Grant looked at the floor and then at Mark.

“Yeah Man! Why didn’t she know Glenn? Something isn’t right here!” Grant thought this through, now that Mark had emphasized it.

Chapter Twenty-Nine

Sharon looked to see the dog lying quietly on the porch without flinching a muscle, deep in sleep. So she shrugged her shoulders, started back into the house. As she made it to the doorway, she heard a BIG crash from behind her. She jumped, turning in mid air in the direction from the loud noise, screaming at the same time.

Christian the Siamese, came bounding onto the porch, where she had fell of the roof and landed on the trash cans, sending them falling onto their sides. Sharon held her hand over her heart, making an attempt to keep it from pounding right out of her rib cage. She stood poised for a few moments as she tried to catch her breath. Regaining her composure she leaned down and picked the cat up rubbing her as she began to purr.

“What’s going on?” Brenda asked as she entered the room. Sharon let the cat jumped on the couch, as she started licking her paw!

“OH! I was a little spooked for a moment! I thought I heard something outside. But it turned out to be the cat on the roof. She jumped off!” Sharon walked into the kitchen with Brenda close behind.

“Oh! I know the feeling! Hmmmm!! That smells good! You know your way around the kitchen, don’t you?” Brenda said as she took a bite off the Swedish meatballs Sharon had prepared.

“Yeah! Pretty much! Hey let’s go in the living room and relax! Remember the girls night in??” Sharon picked up the meatballs as Brenda brought the platter of cheeses and fruits.

The two sat down and leaned back in the couch relaxing as they munched on the food before them. Brenda went to the bar and asked Sharon if she wanted anything and she gave her request. They two ate and sipped for a few moments before Brenda broke the silence.

“So Sharon! How much longer will you be here?” Brenda sipped her brandy.

“Well, reluctantly I must leave tomorrow! It is going to be hard to leave!” She said with a twinge of sadness in her voice.

“So Grant and you are hitting it of that good, huh?” Brenda took another sip!

“Yeah! We are! But I hope this long distance will not put a damper on our relationship!” Sharon said with uncertainty.

“Don’t worry! Grant has a lot of feelings for you! He won’t let you get away!” She said with a lot of confidence. Sharon nodded her head knowing if anyone would no Grant she would.

“Do you mind if I ask something?” Sharon turned to Brenda very seriously.

“Sure!” Brenda turned to her with all her attention.

“Why were you so frighten of the man they call Glenn/Kane?” She asked.

“I don’t know! I was stranded and he came on his bike then he followed me when I ran across the field. Then he chased me down, grabbing me and pulling me upon his bike!” She answered staring into space. She didn’t want her to know there was another reason she was so afraid.

“He chased you down?” Sharon leaned in.

“Yeah!” Brenda took another sip of her brandy.

“Why didn’t he just identify himself! The Glenn I know.....” Sharon paused and went to get her another to drink from the bar. Brenda just shrugged.

“Oh yeah! You are a wrestling fan!” Brenda never saw the sadness in Sharon’s eyes.

“Why do they think that man is Glenn/ Kane?” Sharon asked.

Chapter Thirty

Mark and Grant thought for a moment! Neither would reveal the thoughts that ran through their minds. Grant’s heart began to sink as he remembered the foreboding feeling he had about the girls going home alone.

Why didn’t Sharon recognize Glenn? She had told him what a great WWF fan she had been for years. And yet, faced with Glenn she didn’t know him. He cast his eyes to the floor.

Mark paced back and forth, rubbing his hand over his hair, as his mind went back over the last month. Glenn had been acting very strange. He remembered the young Chyna look-a-like. She had been beaten badly. Glenn was nowhere to be found. But came in with scratches and bruises as if he had been in a fight.

He remembered explaining to the Police he had nothing to do with her demise. But he did get the information someone on a motorcycle had come back to her apartment. Then he found out Glenn could ride a bike.

Now Glenn was missing. And what was with him terrorizing Brenda. He seemed to have gotten a kick out of it. He turned to Grant, whom seemed to be going through a dilemma of his own.

“What’s going on Man?” Mark stopped his pacing in front of him.

“I don’t know! Something is so wrong here Man! Brenda! Glenn!” He didn’t want to mention his thoughts on Sharon until he had a chance to speak with her.

“Yeah! Glenn hasn’t been himself lately! It’s like he’s someone else!” Mark said as a matter of fact.

“And Brenda! What’s sup with that? I have never seen her so fragile before, Man! It’s like she is on the verge of an breakdown!” Grant stared at the wall as he thought about his friend/once lover. Mark folded his arms across his chest as he stroked his goatee.

“So! This isn’t normal behavior for her?“ Mark asked, concerned.

“No! Man. she was an police officer with the department here. And now she’s a P.I.! Now do that sound like someone who would panic because someone on a motorcycle stopped to give them a hand?” Grant stared up to Mark with his fingers entwined.

“No! But Glenn did chase her down and grabbed her up on the bike without IDing himself.” Mark continued to stroke his goatee.

“Okay! Now that’s weird! No, Man! Somehow the two things are connected. But how?” He stood up and waved his finger as in agreement with Mark’s statement. And realization of his own observation.

“Well she did say she had something needed to tell us tomorrow! Maybe we should talk to her tonight?” Mark suggested.

“Yeah! Maybe we should all get some things out in the open! I have some questions I need answered too.” Grant said as he rubbed his hands down his face and turning to Mark.

“Sharon?” Mark asked, looking at his friends expression.

“Yeah, Man! I didn’t want to bring this up until I spoke with her, but I’m just curious at something!” He looked to Mark raising his eyebrows.

“Why she didn’t recognize Glenn?” Mark asked. Grant nodded his head.

Chapter Thirty-One

Lynne went over the same information Brenda had looked over. She decided to stopped at her house to go over some information she had obtained about some cases she felt fitted the same MO, as a case she had been trying to solve for a year now.

This was the case Brenda left the force on. Though She had said that was the reason for leaving. Lynne always thought it was more to it than that. Grant! Brenda had always confided in her how much she loved Grant but it was a affectionate friend kind of love.

Brenda told her, she felt something was missing. And as much as she tried to explained this to Grant , he wouldn’t listen. She had become frustrated with the relationship. And that’s why Lynne felt she used this case to leave Arizona completely. Leaving her and her other friends behind.

If this wasn’t true! Why would she be back digging into this case again? Lynne found what she was looking for. Yes! It all comes together. She needed to contact the FBI agent, who was in town, to covering this case. She made a phone call.

“Why do they think that man is Glenn/ Kane?” Sharon asked. Brenda looked over to the bar where Sharon was fixing her another drink.

Brenda was beginning to feel a buzz from the brandy. She couldn’t register Sharon’s question. And even more so, since she wasn’t a wrestling fan, she didn’t know Glenn from Kane. Sharon came back over to the couch and sat next to Brenda, who’s eyes were a little blood-shot.

“Brenda! I think you should slow down! We have the whole night until the boys get here.” Sharon took what was left in the glass from Brenda and sat it to the side.

“Yeah! You’re right! I have to go to the bathroom!” Brenda said as she ran to relieve herself.

Sharon felt her hidden beeper, vibrate. She took it out to see who was calling and went to get her cellular phone. She stepped out on the porch for some privacy. And dialed the number displayed on the window. She waited for the person on the other end to pick up.

She was staring down the porch, when she noticed the dog was no longer sleeping in the spot he had been earlier. She looked out over the field thinking he may have went out to take care of his business. There were no sign of him. She headed down the porch to peer around the side of the house, when the person she called spoke.

Brenda had finished and splashed some cold water on her face to sober up some. She was enjoying her time with Sharon she didn’t want to pass out and leave her alone. She regained some of her senses, left the bathroom going into the living room finding Sharon gone. She felt she may have had to relieve herself and went to use Grant’s bathroom.

Brenda headed for the kitchen when she heard Sharon talking to someone. She felt maybe the boys had come back earlier than expected. She started towards the door, when she realized no one was responding. She looked out the window and saw her talking on her cellular. She smiled and went to turn when, she heard part of the conversation that caused her to freeze!

“Is that so? Are you sure she was looking over the same information?..............Well I’m here with her now!...............This may create a problem! I can’t have her getting in the way of my plans!...............This has to go off without a hitch!............We need her out of the way! I will have to take care of her myself! Oh! Well that sounds good to me! See you later!” Sharon hung up the phone, pausing for a moment, then went into the house.

Chapter Thirty-Two

“Is that so? Are you sure she was looking over the same information?..............Well I’m here with her now!...............This may create a problem! I can’t have her getting in the way of my plans!...............This has to go off without a hitch!............We need her out of the way! I will have to take care of her myself! Oh! Well that sounds good to me! See you later!” Sharon hung up the phone, pausing for a moment, then went into the house.

Brenda was sitting on the couch holding herself, when Sharon entered the house. She stared at her not wanting to tip her off that she had overheard the conversation. Now she was more afraid than ever.

Grant had wanted to come with them but she had insisted with Sharon he stayed. And it was Sharon’s idea to come back there. And now that she thought about it. Why would a wrestling fan as she, want to leave, with the opportunity of a lifetime to see and possibility meet all of the wrestlers. And hangout with them after the show.

“Can I ask you a question?” Sharon stopped as she closed the door behind her, then turning to Brenda puzzled.

“Sure!” Brenda said looking at her prepared.

“The dog! Does he ever leave the area?” Sharon asked as she came and sat by Brenda.

“As far as I know he’s very lazy! He may wonder to the old tree to do his business but he doesn’t venture far unless he’s with someone.” Brenda wondered why she so concerned about the dog not being on the porch. Sharon nodded and glanced to the direction of the porch.

“You asked a question about why they think the man who frighten me was Glenn?” Brenda needed information about this woman.

“Ya’ know what? I think we need to get back to yer place. I have the sinking feeling we are needed there.” Mark said as he gather his bag in his hand.

“Yeah Man! I’ve been having this foreboding feeling too! Something ain’t right!” Grant said as he headed out the door with Mark close behind.

“Hey, hey, hey!” A voice came from behind them. It was Vince! Mark rolled his eyes and let out a gust of air.

“Where do you think you’ll going? I need to talk to you about your friends disappearing act tonight!” Vince said as he looked at Grant and back to Mark.

“Look Vince! Ya’ hired him. Ya’ deal with him! I have my own problems, than to play nursemaid to every wrestler ya’ ain’t able to control!” He said this very slowly and deliberate.

“Hey! Ever thought about becoming a wrestler?” Vince turned to Grant as if he didn’t hear Mark! Grant looked at Vince than to Mark dumbfounded. Mark just shook his head.

“I understand you were once a police officer her in Phoenix!” Sharon started their bonding again.

“Yeah! Grant told you that?” She replied and asked. She nodded her head.

“So now you’re a P.I.?“ She asked. Brenda was getting a little nervous at what this questioning was going to lead to.

“Been on any good cases lately?” She narrowed her eyes on this one.

“You know Sharon! We have been talking about me! Tell me something about you!” Brenda said not wanting to lose control of the situation. If she could only stall until the boys get in.

“There’s something I think we should take care of before the boys get here!” Sharon said as she got up to go over to her purse.

Brenda got up, as fear gripped her, as she watched Sharon reach in her purse. She was pulling something out when the lights suddenly went out! She heard some movement. She felt it was Sharon trying to come towards her. Then she her a thud along with a small whimper and then a thump.

She move through the darkness to see if she could make it to the kitchen to get some candles. Maybe it was a blackout or a fuse that went out.

“Sharon! Are you alright?” She called out to her. She never responded.

“Sharon! Are you alright?” She called again. No response. Suddenly she became frighten, as she wondered if Sharon had hurt herself. She continued to move when she felt herself bump into someone huge!! She went to scream when she felt a sharp pain in the top of her head and blackness claimed her.

Chapter Thirty-Three

Brenda slowly stirred from her unconsciousness, as she felt the pounding headache. She gently cradle her head between her hands The light penetrated her eyes, the blurted scenery soon became sharp, as she looked up into the terror stricken eyes of Sharon!

Sharon was also holding her head with one hand on a bag of ice, as she looked down at Brenda, who was now lifting herself up into a sitting position. Then Sharon looked in another direction with widen eyes. Brenda turned her head not to abruptly, to ease the aching she was enduring, to see what had cause Sharon such fear. She gasped in shock to see who was sitting across from them.

“YOU?” She yelled. Sharon touched her arm gently to calm her down.

“Yes! How are you feeling!” Glenn asked.

“You stupid Son of a b@$ch! Mark cared so much for you!” Brenda yelled again and pausing as her headache got the best of her.

“Oh! I see I might have put a little more into that pop on the head than anticipated.” He left his seat to get her a bag of ice.

“Look Brenda! I was going to tell you something before the lights went out! I need you not to get this man upset!” She started to say something more but Glenn re-entered the room.

“Oh! That’s not nice to whisper! I might feel you’re secretly talking about me! And then I may get angry! And ladies! That is not what you want!” He handed Brenda the bag of ice.

“Why are you doing this to us?” Brenda asked as she rested the bag of ice on the spot he had hit her.

“Why am I doing this to you? Well, you two have been very naughty girls! Snooping around!” He said as he eased down in his chair.

“What are you talking about snooping around?” Brenda asked as she looked from him and to Sharon. She turned her gazed down to the floor.

“You two were digging into a case that happened a year ago. And you connected it to what has been happening for the last month. I was trying to pin it on Mark, but somehow the Keystone cops let him go!” He smiled deviously as Brenda looked at him and then once again to Sharon confused at her involvement of this case.

“Oh! You didn’t know?” He laughed as he could see Brenda was completely on the dies lines on this one.

“I didn’t know what?” She snapped!

“Your little friend here! Is not all she seems to be!” Glenn said as he tilted his head back and let out a thunderous laugh. Brenda turned to look at Sharon puzzled at the statement. Sharon turned a glare to Glenn!

Chapter Thirty-Four

“Mark Man! I have this sinking feeling something isn’t right! And Sharon! I’m not sure about that one anymore.!” Grant looked out the car window as the drove down the streets, heading out of the city.

“Wait Grant! You were so sure this was the one! What has happened to change that? Because she asked you who Glenn was? Hell Man! I wonder who he is my Damn self!” Mark guided the car along.

“And I know Brenda’s going to kill me for this! But it’s something that came into my head!” He said as it struck him how weird she had been with him before their lovemaking.

“Yeah!” Grant still taking in the scenery.

“Well! Today before we made love!” He paused to Grant’s head snapping around to him and shifting in his seat get a good earful of this one.

“Look Man! I’m not revealing any details! So you might as well stick that there tongue of yours back in your mouth!” He informed Grant who grunted and repositioned himself in his seat, peering ahead. Mark just shook his head and chuckled a I got you!

“Today when we were along? Before we were intimate? She saw me and panic! I thought it was she was startled coming out of her sleep! But she was truly afraid of me! Even when I tried to talk to her. It was so strange, because the night before we were cool!” Mark looked to the road as his mind wondered back to the what had happened.

“That’s what I mean Man! It seems every since she’s been on this case she has been jumpy!” Grant informed Mark.

“Do you know what case she’s on?” Mark asked as they made their way out of the city.

“No! She never tells me anything!” He laughed lightly.

“But getting back to Sharon! Follow your guts Man! That’s what she wind up doing! Inspite of the doubts she may have felt! What does your guts tell you?” Mark asked as he glanced over at his friend.

“That I love her!” Was all he could say.

“What do you mean, she isn’t what she seems to be?” Brenda asked him and turning to Sharon with fear stricken eyes.

“What does he mean? Are you in on this with him? I heard you tell.......” Sharon didn’t let her finish!

“I know you heard me say I had something to talk to you about! And what he’s trying to inform you is what I was going to tell you!” Sharon looked at Brenda wit pleading eyes not to resume the sentence.

Maybe it was the years of being a cop! And now a P.I.! But Brenda caught on quickly what Sharon was saying! The person she was talking to, was on there way there! And whoever was on the other line was help! So Brenda played it off.

“Okay! Then you tell me now! What is he trying to tell me?” Brenda asked.

“What this Glenn/Kane wannabe is trying to tell you! That I’m FBI!” Sharon’s eyes pierced a hole in him and turned to Brenda, as she smiled, shrugging her shoulders.

Chapter Thirty-Five

“WHAT! You are FBI?” Brenda was dumbfounded. Sharon nodded!

“But why, what, who? Hell I don’t know what to ask!” Brenda felt her head beginning to throb.

“Brenda! What he’s trying to tell you is.....you and I are on the same case.” She looked at Brenda as she raised her head to meet her eyes.

“The one where the women have been killed? While some have been beaten?” Brenda watched Sharon nod her head once again.

“They one where he came to your door to give you some of what he gave the other women!” Sharon informed Brenda. Brenda took a big gulp and turned to Glenn.

“You were the one at my door? You try to kill me and frame Mark! Why?” She tried to stay calm. She needed answers!

“Well actually! I didn’t know Mark when I killed the first one! In fact she lived right here in Phoenix! It was about an year ago!” He was looking up in the ceiling as if he was trying to recall the incident.

“I remember that case! A young woman found in her apartment strangled to death, her neck was crushed! I was on the force then! I was one of two cops that answered the call! I left afterwards! I don’t get it! You didn’t know Mark? But you have been his friend for a long time!” Brenda looked even more bewildered.

“NO! I have not been his friend for any length of time! He is the reason my girl had to be dealt with! I told her if she ever messed around on me what I would do to her! She didn’t listen!” He leaned forward in his chair.

“That night I saw her leaving the bar with him! I freaked! And after he left! I went to confront her! You know what? He gave her a bill for her time! Like she was some cheap whore! And the worst thing about it! She took it willingly! He snapped.

“Well I couldn’t stomach her any longer, so I how much I loved her! Then I showed her how much I hated her!” He said this as he left the chair and went to the window. The girls looked on in shock! Now they had a reason for the first murder! And they guess why the others. But something didn’t add up!

“I still don’t understand why you being Mark’s friend would he betray you in such away?” Brenda said with caution!

“Because Brenda! He isn’t Mark’s friend and never has he ever been Mark’s friend!” Sharon said with her eyes peered on him. Brenda snapped her head around to Sharon and titled it in surprise at her statement and need for her to clarify it.

“Remember when I asked why do they think he’s Glenn?” She asked Brenda.

“Yeah! You seemed so bent on that!” Brenda looked in her eyes.

“Well there was a reason for that!” Sharon said.

“I had the pleasure of meeting Glenn some years ago! We kinda had a fling! We parted as dear friends! He always kept up with me until a few weeks ago! I had warned him he may be in danger, because I knew Mark was!” She looked down at her hands and then to Brenda.

“ I told him to keep it to himself, because we were closing in on this case! Well he was attack the night the woman in Houston was beaten. And then a few days later he disappeared. I haven’t heard from him since!” She continued to stare at Brenda.

“But he’s standing right here before you! Ask him where he’s been!” Brenda said to her.

“Think Brenda! Think like a cop! Why would I ask you the question of why do they think this man is Glenn?” She raised her eyebrow in a effort to make her understand.

“Wait! You don’t mean?” Brenda said as reality hit!

Chapter Thirty-Six

“Think Brenda! Think like a cop! Why would I ask you the question of why do they think this man is Glenn?” She raised her eyebrow in a effort to make her understand.

“Wait! You don’t mean?” Brenda said as reality hit!

Sharon nodded her head, realizing Brenda understood what she had been trying to tell her! The two women stared in each others eyes! One in shock at the reality and the other in relief of it! The two turned their attention on Glenn standing at the window, as he stirred. A car could be heard coming down the road!

After Lynne put two and tow together and realized so had Brenda! She paged Sharon to tell her they had a problem with Brenda investigating the same case! I know Brenda she wouldn’t stop until she either solve the case or get herself killed. And if she had anything to do with it! She had no plans of her former friend losing her life on her turf!

Sharon informed her she would take care of Brenda and she had the greatest confidence Brenda would comply. She told Sharon she was on her way, together they would convince her to step aside and let them work this case. And if that didn’t work, she would haul her a@# to jail under protected custody! She was slowly approaching the Ranch when she saw in her rearview mirror, headlights rapidly coming upon her.

Mark and Grant drove in silence the rest of the trip, as each went in their own little worlds concerning the women they have let in their lives. One was concern with the emotion of the lady in he loved, as the other thought about the possibility the his lady made not be all she seems!

Grant was peering out the window in deep thought as he could see they were coming to his Ranch! Mark pressed on thinking how they would settle things all around tonight. Up ahead he could see a lone car on the road.

They would soon overtake it at the speed it was going. He went back to his thoughts not giving it another thought as they came up to it and moved around it passing it up! Grant glanced at the driver in the car nonchalantly. Then he took a double take and..................

“Mark! STOP!” He hollered causing Mark to slightly swerve and regaining control of the car, bringing it to a halt. Grant never waited for the car to stop as he had already jumped out of the car and waving the other car down.

The two women froze as they fear the men in their lives were coming up the road! And they fear this maniac would kill them. They each knew they would have to think of something! Glenn turned to the women and gave them a smile.

“I’m going out here to greet our company! I wouldn’t do anything stupid that may cost someone their lives!” He said as he gave them one last glance and went out the door.

“Brenda! Listen to me! Lynne and I are working together on this case! She followed you around when she discovered you were investigating this case! She is on her way here to help me convince you to back of the case! That may be her out there now!” Sharon kept her eyes pinned in the door!

“Lynne! Oh No!” Brenda turned her gaze to the door! Fearing her friend life may be in danger.

“Well if we play it cool! We may be able to get out of this alive.” Sharon tried to console Brenda!

“Sharon! While he’s out! Tell me if I’m right about Glenn!” She said. Sharon nodded.

“If that’s not Glenn then where is he?” Brenda asked!

“He’s right here!” The imposter said entering the house with Glenn bound at the wrist! Brenda went in total shock as she looked into the face of the other man accompanying him!

Chapter Thirty-Seven

“YOU!!” Brenda yelled. The man tipped his hat at her with a sinister smile!

Sharon looked at Brenda, eyes focus, wondering who was this man, that he would have such an affect on her! It seemed like an surprise to her whoever he was, in any case, he was involved with the case. The imposter shoved Glenn down on the couch between the ladies! Sharon rubbed his arm. He gave her a sorrowful look! It was apparent he had been beaten, from the old cuts and bruises on his face. One eye was bluing from a black eye, now healing.

“Well! So we meet agin lil’ Lady!” He said as he walked over to stand tall before her!

“Yeah! We meet again!” She snapped as she rolled her eyes towards him!

“I told ya’ ta tell that Man of yers, he didn’t know how to treat ya’ I’d be more than happy ta take ya’ off’n his hands!” He went to touch Brenda, she jumped backwards into Glenn, who went to lounge at the man, causing Sharon to grab his arm in a gesture to stop him!

“OH! I guess our last encounter didn’t teach’cha nothin’ huh, Glenn?” He walked towards him and gave him a back hand slap, which caused Glenn’s head jerked backwards from the impact, and a imprint of the man’s hand could be seen etching it’s way across the area, the ladies screamed, throwing their hands over their mouths.

“Hey Bart! Quick fooling around! I don’t want him dead just yet! Get over here! There’s something moving out there!” The fake Glenn beckoned the man over to him!

“Glenn! Are you alright? They’ve had you all this time?” Sharon whispered to him, as she caressed his reddening cheek.

“Well actually no! They didn’ get me, until a few nights ago! Mark and I had a fallen out about something! I followed him to the bar and was going to smooth things over with him, when I saw him come over to ya’!” He turned to Brenda! She stared at him expressionless.

“So I decided to hang out for a minute! When I saw the two of ya’ leave on his bike, I just started to go home! And that’s when I was jumped and kidnapped! He then took over my identity! I didn’t keep in touch with ya’ I the last few weeks, because I knew they were on to me! They jumped me the night the lady in Houston was beaten!” He looked up to the two men at the window!

“You two are aware we have to get out of here some way! If not we are dead!” Sharon whispered as she looked from the two and back up at the men!

“OH Man! Yer spooked! I don’t see a thin‘!” Bark said as he turned away from the window! He walked back over towards the couch!

“Ya’ know somethin! Both of ya’ are purty lil’ things! I think I could hav a good time with the both of ya‘! BIG man like me hav a Big appetite! Wha’cha think Gus? Ya’think these to lil’ ladies can satisfy my appetite?” He ran his tongue slowly over his lips, as his eyes began to undress the women!

Glenn felt useless! He could see the women’s fear seeping through! They weren’t sure what would happened now! Sharon sunk in closer to him laying her head on his arm as a shelter! Brenda stared back at the man, mouth slightly apart, as her breathing became short and shallow, her anxiety was settling in!

“Bart Man! Leave those ladies along! I’m trying to see when those two are coming! I need ya’here when they do! Ya’ can do what’cha want with them when I’m finish making him pay fer Jill’s death!

Lynne stopped her car as she saw the car pass her up and she got a glimpse of Grant staring out of the window. He looked right into her face and acted as if he didn’t know her. Then the car started to slow down and he jumped out before it came to a complete stop! Now here he stands in her path waving his arms like a madman!

Chapter Thirty-Eight

“Grant! Have you lost your mind!” Lynne hollered, sticking her head out the car window. Grant started walking towards her car. It appears he was excited about something.

“What brings you out this way, Lynne?” He asked leaning in on the car!

“Umm! I can’t tell you! Now if you will move away from my car, I can go about my business!” She said to him.

“If that business has to be on my property! I think you better do some explaining or turn yourself around and head on back down that road and get a search warrant!” Grant glared at her!

He knew there was something fishy going on and seeing Lynne out his way, made it official. She stared hard at Grant and then turned her gaze to Mark emerging from the car. Her mouth dropped opened at the size of him. Grant was a big man, but this man dwarfed him. Realizing she was truly outsized, opened her car door and stepped out.

“Okay! You win!” She said as she looked up to Grant, then to Mark. She reached in her car, pulling her purse out.

“Did Brenda ever tell you about a case she was on?” She asked Grant, as she sat her purse on the hood of her car.

“She told me she was on one, but didn’t give any details!” He walked up next to her, as she dug in her purse looking for her pack of cigarettes.

“Well, unofficially she has been working o this case. I found out to day when she was looking through an old file and a old events notice! And how do I say this?” She said as she finally found her pack.

“I’m on this murder case! And it includes YOU, Mister!” She said as she hit the top of the pack on the palm of her hand and opened the pack. She kept her eyes on Mark. He narrowed his eyes at her, placing his hands on his hips, stared at her as if she was a looney.

“Oh yeah! You are very important part of this case Mark!” She put a cigarette in her mouth and began to fish for a lighter in her purse. Grant now frustrated with her stalling, fumbled in his pockets for a lighter, pulled one out and lit her cigarette.

“Oh! Thanks!” She said as she took a pull on it. Grant raised his eyebrow, with arms opened, as a signal for her to continued.

“Okay! Whooo that taste so good! I’m trying to stop you know!” She said as she twisted her mouth, blowing out a stream of smoke.

“My Gawd woman! Will ya’ get to the Damn point already!” Mark had lost his composure! She had just told him he was part of a murder case, she needed to clarify what part was he.

“Whoa! Who ruffled your feathers?” Lynne leaned back on her car and squinted her eyes at Mark, dragging on her cigarette.

“Okay here goes! Mark some of this you are aware. Last year a young woman was found killed in her apartment. Her name was Jill Spencer! Does that name ring a bell Mark?” She asked.

“Should it?” He asked, trying to place her.

“Your company was here about this time last year! That young woman reportedly left a bar with you!! Tall, slender, fiery red hair, and her eyes were as green as yours.” She took another drag on her cigarette, closely studying Mark.

“A year ago here! I could have been! I don’t remember any women much after we are together.” He replied, searching in his mind for and recollection! Then his eyes sparked, as a memory of green eyes formed in his head. Lynne moved from the car as she could see Mark remembered something.

Chapter Thirty-Nine

You remembered something? I don’t care how unimportant it may seem to you! I want to know it!” She threw the butt of the cigarette to the ground, smashing it with the tip of her shoe and came to stand in front of Mark!

“Yeah! I recall her saying she had this crazy boyfriend she had just broke up with! He was the reason she was out looking for excitement! She was celebrating her newfound liberation from the creep!” Mark sighed, as more memories began to pour through his mind.

“I also recalled seeing this picture of him sitting on her TV. He looked to be as big as me. Blonde hair blue eyes! She did tell me he was a biker like me. She said those are the only guys that attracted her.” He ran his hand over his head as he began to fully remember her.

She walked into the bar, very innocent looking. She eyed him and came over to introduce herself. Yes! Her hair was as red as fire, which enhanced the seductive green eyes! He remembered her as Green eyes. They had a nice time together. She told him how abusive her old boyfriend was an he had made a promise to kill her if she ever messed around on him. Form what Lynne has said, he made good on that promise.

“Okay! But maybe he did it! Has anyone tried to question him?” Mark asked.

“If he did kill her! That is understandable! But we have other cases where the women are also linked to you! It doesn’t look good for you if you now what I mean?” She explained.

“Wait on damn minute! Women? What the hell do you mean, women?” He spoke loudly!

“Calm down! I’m only here to see where this case is going! I’m trying to clear you! I think this is a frame up, but need your cooperation!” Lynne had come over and placed a gentle hand on his arm, with pleading eyes.

“Okay Ma’am! Whatever I can do to clear myself.” He walked away to the car and sat down on the trunk, folding his arms across his chest, stroking his goatee.

‘Mark didn’t kill nobody! I have known him since we were children. You are barking up the wrong tree missy!” Grant came at Lynne! She gave him a glance, placed another cigarette in her mouth and fumbled through her purse for a lighter. Grant pulled his out and lit it! She dragged and blew it out, looking at Grant then over to Mark.

“I know deep in my guts! Mark didn’t do this! But we have to link the other with that case and all the others. I shouldn’t say this, but the girl in Houston that was beaten! She informed us it wasn’t Mark! She said he could almost at first glance pass for Mark because of the size and his eyes were blue! And what Mark has told me, the eyes matched very well.” She paused. Drew in another hit and blowing it out!

“I didn’t want to say this.....but we showed her a picture of some of the huge men in his company......and the man she picked out. Was his friend...... Glenn!” She whispered this to him.

“What!” He thought about what he had heard. Then his mind went back to how Mark had said Glenn was acting kinda crazy lately. And he also how threatening he was to Sharon. Suddenly something hit him like a ton of bricks.

“Oh no! GLENN!” He said as panic struck!

Chapter Forty

“What about Glenn?“ Lynne asked as she watch Mark stiffen from the outburst and looked in their direction.

“He was missing in action tonight! I just realized it! They were looking for him and he was nowhere to be found!” Grant was talking loudly and becoming very alarmed.

“You said he was very threatening to Sharon? Why? Did he seem to act as if he knew her?” Lynne to was sensing something wrong.. It’s what she calls her gut feeling.

“Yes! He was very threatening to her! But she acted like she didn’t know who he was and that didn’t go well with me since she is a wrestling fan!” Grant explained as he looked over to see Mark coming their way.

“What? She didn’t know him? But they.....” Lynne stopped abruptly realizing she had said too much.

“What’cha two so up in the air about?” Mark asked as he came closer to the two.

“They what, Lynne?” Grant had not heard a word of Mark.

“Oh damn! Something is definitely wrong. My contact should have answered me by now. Let me page again!” Lynne was trying to avoid the question. But something in the back of her head kept nagging about the whole not knowing Glenn!

“Look Grant! There may or may not be a problem here. But if my contact doesn’t respond to me soon! Then yes, ‘Houston we have a problem.’” She said as she walked over to her car to light another cigarette.

She needed to figure this out! And the two men were distracting her. If her gut feelings pan out.......Sharon and Brenda may be in trouble.

Sharon felt her pager vibrate for the second time. She knew it was Lynne! She just hoped she was as good of a cop as she felt she was and figure out what was going on here before Mark and Grant make it back.

Brenda was holding her own in spite of the constant advances and threats of rape by Bark. Glenn seemed to have recovered slightly from his encounter with the two brothers. If they could hold out for just a little while. She could figure out a diversion that will at least get Glenn and Brenda free. And her.......now that was another story.

Chapter Forty-One

Sharon had felt her pager vibrate for the second time. But due to the circumstances, she couldn’t take the chance of revealing it to the two captors. All that was in her mine was to protect the hostages. She was a true Federal agent. She was concerned Lynne would come to investigate why she hadn‘t answer her pager. And walk into the trap. Then there would be one hostages for her to concern herself. She felt she had figure out a foolproof plan, to create a diversion. Which would enable Glenn and Brenda to run for safety. Now if she could convince them to go along with it! Well, that would be an feat in itself!!

Lynne paced back and forth as she waited for Sharon to return the page. This had been the second time she had page without an answer. The first could have been any reason. But the second. No! She is an agent! Anything could be going on! She would have answer the page.....if! Lynne’s guts were telling her something was terribly wrong.

Her thoughts drifted back to what Grant had said about Glenn! He was very threatening to Sharon. And not to mention how he terrified Brenda! Let’s not forget his AWOL! No! She has been a cop to long not to smell trouble. If it looks like a snake in the grass......then it’s a snake in the grass. And that snake has a name.....GLENN!!

Now she turned to the two men who were over at the truck conversing! She was going to need their help! Which means! She was going to have to confide in them! And that’s not a job she wanted! But what else could she do? More than one life is in jeopardy here! She was the resident cop here! This was in her jurisdiction, which meant! She was responsible the lives of all of them!

Now if she could make them understand, she needed their help! But not to put their lives in harms way! Now to figure out a plan!

“Okay fellas! Listen up! We have a situation! My contact hasn’t responded to my pagers in two attempts! I’m thinking she and one other are in deep shit without a shovel by now! So Men, I need to inform you of what is going on here! “ Lynne announced as she approached the two twin towers.

“Lynne! What the hell are you talking about, contact?” Grant asked as he turned his attention to her.

“I need to feel you two in on something! And you’re not going to like what I have to say! So please refrain from any comments until I’m finish! Do we have that understanding? If not! I’ll do what I have to do, alone!” Lynne dug in her purse for another cigarette. The two men looked at each other, up to the sky and then back to her.

“Will you go on already?” Mark was losing his patience.

“Look! What I’m about to tell you is privilege information! But I need your help at this moment!” She said as she lit the cigarette and gave it one nice pull and blew it out as she began to inform the men.

Sharon figured out a plan...not foolproof.....but what can you expect on short noticed. At least the men will be diverted and Brenda and Glenn could escape!! She watched the two men closely before turning to Glenn and Brenda, signaling she wanted to say something.

“Okay you two!” She whispered as she glanced at the two men.

“I have a plan to get you two out of here and to safety!” She explained causing Glenn and Brenda to look at her with puzzled faces.

“I’m going to get the big over sexed machine there to take me to the bathroom, which I need to use very badly!” She gave them a wink. Glenn tensed, as Brenda grasped his arm! They weren’t liking where she was going with this plan!

“Now! While I have him in the back! Brenda.......you’re going to get very thirsty! Or hungry, whichever you may choose! While he’s not looking Glenn you’re going to get yourself ready to jump him! Because Brenda, you’re going to trip and cause him to fall over you! Then Glenn can knock his ass out.....then you two need to get the HELL out of here!!” She looked into the shocked faces of the two! She could feel what was coming next! Before she could stop him!

“WHAT!!” Glenn spoke a little louder than hoped!

Sharon turned to look at the two men who had glanced in their direction! All three just stared blankly at the two men! They turned back to looking out the window and talking amongst themselves. Glenn turned his angered filled eyes back at Sharon!

“Have ya’ lost your mind, Sharon! I’m not gonna run like a coward and leave ya here in the hands of that sex maniac! No! Don’t cha dare ask me!” Glenn said a little quieter! But with the same intensity!

“Look Glenn and Brenda! I have a contact on the police force here, whose has been working with me on this case! They have paged me twice! I know they’re going to figure out something’s wrong and come to investigate! They will be walking into a trap! And not to mention Grant and Mark! We have to do something!” She looked at him with pleading eyes to go along with her plan, as she gently touched the side of his face!

Glenn looked at her, with begging eyes for her not to go through with this plan! But he knew her! She was very stubborn! Once she had made up her mind, there was no changing it!

“I agree with you both me need to get the hell out of here! But I agree with Glenn! We’re not leaving you here alone with that idiot! Brenda kept her eyes on the two men at the door!

“If either of you have a better plan, I’m more than happy to here it! But Brenda, you need to know! Lynne is my police contact! You want her in danger too!” Sharon fixed her eyes on the surprised look on Brenda‘s face!

Brenda and Lynne went back many years! They were once partners and friends! Even though they have had their differences, Brenda still cared about her! She certainly didn’t want her to get in the clutches of these two creeps!

Chapter Forty-Two

“So there you have it gents! The way I figure, the two ladies may be in big trouble about right now, down at the ranch! Sharon hasn’t returned my page as of yet! And I know by now she would have! If she could!” Lynne stared into the stunned faces of the two men, who were still trying to absorbed the information Lynne just shared with them.

“Are you telling me Sharon is a Fed?” Grant broke the silence first, as Mark attempted to recover from the possibility Brenda may be in danger! Lynne nodded her head as she stomped out another cigarette she had lit while talking to the men.

“Wait a minute! If Sharon was once intimate with Glenn, why didn’t she recognize him?” Grant was finding it hard to except the fact Sharon had once been with someone he knew!

“Because it ain’t Glenn! I should have saw it myself! Him and I are very close! He had been acting very antsy lately! But tonight, he acted totally unlike Glenn! More sadistic!” Mark injected after listening to Grant!

“Exactly! I didn’t realize it at first! But of course she would know Glenn! That’s why she asked who was this man! And he must have had her made!” Lynne said.

“Yeah! That’s why he said he would see her later! He had it all planned! While we were at the show he would follow the girls back to the ranch and............” Grant trailed off.

“Gentlemen! I have the sinking feeling! The girls are okay, but a trap is set for the both of you. He would’ve figured it would have been noticed by now he was missing! So I’m afraid we better take this slow! We need to come up with a plan!” Lynne looked from one man to the other. They looked at each other then towards her.

“Oh God! Brenda! If he hurts one hair on her head!” Mark said running his hands over his head, as reality finally sunk in!

“Be cool Mark! We’ll get both our ladies! But I have one question! If this man isn’t Glenn! Where is Glenn?” Grant asked, as he looked from Mark to Lynne!

“Good question!” Lynne said as she went to light another cigarette!

“Okay! Now I’m pissed! Glenn better be alright! That’s my friend, like a brother! Do ya have a plan Miss Police Lady?” Mark looked at Lynne as she drew a nice hit, savored it and slowly blew it out, as if it would be her last! She nodded her head and began to tell the men her plan as she finish her cigarette!

Sharon watched as Gus nibbled on a piece of chicken leg he stole from the refrigerator! She looked at Glenn and Brenda, signaling she was ready to go on with the plan! They reluctantly nodded letting her know they were prepared to go on with it!

“Excuse me big fellas! I need to go to the ladies room!” She said wiggling on the couch as if she wouldn’t be able to hold it any longer. Bart waved Gus down, as he approached the trio!

“Sure purty lady! I’ll be more than pleased ta see ya ta the gals room!” He said as he extended his hand in the direction of the hallway with an wicked evil grinned plastered across his face.

Glenn stiffened, concerned for Sharon, wondering if this was a good idea after all. But Sharon gently touched his hand in reassurance it would be alright. She gave him a quick smile and left the couch, heading towards the bathroom. He relented, knowing this was going to go as planned whether he liked it or not.

Sharon pass by Bart, just brushing up against him, as he had given her only enough room to do so. Bart turned and gave Glenn a certain look that sent chills up and down his spine. He knew more than ever, he needed to make this plan work for Sharon’s sake. He watched as the disappeared into the hallway!

Suddenly a car could be heard coming up the roadway! Gus dropped the chicken leg and ran to the window! He looked up the road to see the truck making its way down to the house. Glenn and Brenda looked at each other, realizing it had to be Mark and Grant! Or worst, Lynne!

“Hey Bart! Come back! It’s them! Get ready!” He hollered for his brother.

Bart raced back into the room with Sharon at his side! He slightly gave her a shove towards the couch, as he continued towards the window!

“Sorry little lady! Ya’ goin ta hav ta hold that til’ we finish yer boyfriend and the other off!” Bart said as he gave her a backwards look.

The trio sat on the couch dumbfounded to what to do! Glenn knew what to do! He had to throw the men off and that would leave the girls to flee to warn Mark and Grant! Without another thought! Glenn was up on his feet and barreled into the two men at the window as he shouted to the girls to run! The women hesitated for a moment not expecting this sudden change of events! Finally gathering their senses the ladies bolted for the door.

Bart was the first to recover from the blow and reached out a hand tripping Sharon as she flew out the door and landed on the porch! He gave Glenn one shove and went to get Sharon as she was trying to get to her feet, only to feel his huge arms around her waist lifting her up off the porch and carrying her back into the house as he watch Brenda running towards the truck!

As Bart entered the house he saw that Gus hand managed to knock Glenn out with the butt of his gun! He told him he needed to get the other girl and whoever else was with her! Gus made a dash out the door only to see Brenda had changed direction from the car for some reason as it had came to a stop up the road!

Gus ran towards the car with gun pointed ready to fire on anyone who may try to interfere with his attempt to get the girl. He was shocked when he came up to see the truck was empty! He looked around the area! No one in sight! He turned towards Brenda and took off after her!

“Okay lil’ lady! It’s just you and I! Now be nice ta ole Bart and I can see that ya live a long life! Well til’ at least I get bored with ya! I hav a tendency ta get bored real quick! But who knows! Ya just might be the one who can tame ole Bart!“ Bart threw her on Grant’s bed! How much she had wanted to be in this bed! But not now! Not with him!

“You listen to me! I’m a federal agent! Anything you do to me will be a federal offense! And buddy that is worst than what the regular courts may do to you!” Sharon trying to bide time!

“Well lil’ darlin’! It would be worth it!” He let out a sinister laugh! Sharon then realized something! Gus was not the murder here! It was Bart! Gus was too stupid to have figure all this out!

“You know what I think! Gus didn’t kill Jill! You did! He couldn’t have killed her! If he wanted to kill anyone he would have killed us one he had the chance, after he knocked us out! And then killed the men as they came in! It was the way he kept stopping you from doing anything to us! It didn’t add up! Why would it matter to him what he did or did not do to us? You were going to kill us all anyway” Sharon started.

“If he was this sadistic rapist/killer as he tried to put on! And, when he had Brenda to himself! He could have did her then! But he didn’t! He brought her to Mark instead!“ She continued.

“You know! I bet he doesn’t know he didn’t kill her! You’ve held this over his head for a long time! I wonder how he would react if he knew the truth! It was you! Why? Why did you kill her and make him think he did it!” She watched as Bart’s face took on an demonic features.

“Well! Well! The federal government’s finest at work!” He sneered at her, advancing towards the bed! She scooted back into the wall!

“ What can I say? Ya got me! Yeah! I killed her! After Gus fled the room, thinking he had killed her! I came in on her! We had been secretly seeing each other! When I saw her with the big biker! I wanted to teach her a lesson! When Big Bart has a woman! She don’t need anyone else! She hurt my pride!” He said, giving her body a long lingering glare!

“ She laughed in my face and at my brother for being to stupid cowboys! I showed her how stupid this cowboy was! I had to help Gus get back at the biker! I couldn’t let my lil bro know I had a thing with his girl, now could I lil darlin’?” He said as he slowly crawled unto the bed, within inches from her.

“ And he will never know! Oh how I would hav loved to enjoy you! But sorry lil’ lady! It’s time to say goodbye!” Bart finish this, lounging for Sharon! She let out a shrilling scream!

Chapter Forty-Three

Lynne, Grant and Mark had the plan to allow the truck to roll down the road to distract who may or may not be in the house with the girls! When they saw Brenda run out and Sharon behind, they felt they had it made! But Sharon fell to the porch and then a big blond man came out the house swooping her up in his arms and retreated with her back into the house!

Brenda continued towards the car! Mark started for her, but looked up to see another man bolt out the house after her! He bared a close resemblance to Glenn and had a gun! They realized they were dealing with two or more persons!

Grant ran towards the house to help Sharon after seeing her being grabbed! Lynne was close behind! They cautiously approached the house, stopping on the porch at the door, listening for any movement that could give them a clue of the whereabouts of the occupants!

They heard a shuffling noise accompanied by a groan, just inside the doorway! Grant peered in first! He saw Glenn bound, laying on the floor by the door and just coming out of unconsciousness! They went over to release his bonds, to him when Grant heard Sharon’s scream! He left Lynne with Glenn, going towards his room! He heard struggling as he came near! Desperate, he burst through the door!

“Sharon!” He yelled as he watched the man strangling Sharon on his bed, she looked to see the man she loved, coming through the door like a runaway train, and grab Bart from the bed, to the floor, pummeling him with his fist! Bart never stood a chance! He was knocked out cold!

After leaving an bloody and unconscious Bart lying there! Grant walked over to Sharon on the bed, taking her into his arms! Looked deep into her big brown eyes, full of fear! But slowly turned into great relief he was there!

“I was so scared I was to late! And when I saw him with his hands on you! I lost it! I know now how much I feel for you! I love you very much! And want to get to know you much better! You think that it’s possible?” Grant looked deeper into her yes, hoping her answer would be yes.

“Oh Grant! I have so much to tell you! But yes, I would want nothing more than to get to know you much better! I think I’m falling hard for you cowboy!” She softly hooked his chin, guiding his head down to hers, as their lip lightly touched, giving each other a quick glance, began to deeply kiss!

Gus chased Brenda across the fields, finally catching up with her! He braised pass her enough to send her off balance and to the ground! She crawled frantically away from him attempting to get to her feet! He grabbed her leg pulling her to him! She kicked at him and started to pound him with her fists! He shrugged her onslaught off, laughing at the battle he knew he would win!

“Okay! It’s over now! Let’s git back ta the house! Whoever’s come ta yer rescue will no doubt be at the house by the time we git back there! I don’t know if Bart got things under control or not, but ya’ll tip the scales in our favor! Let’s go!” Gus hollered as he pointed the gun at her beckoning for her to start moving!

Brenda came to her feet! She was about to take a step when something caught her eye and she briefly stopped, but continued on as if she hadn’t seen anything! Gus turned to followed and came face to face with a green eyed demon! He froze as he felt the gun knocked out of his hand and sent flying!

“So Glenn! Ya come to the darkside now! How dare ya put yer hands on my woman!” Mark said as his whole body trembled from contained anger!

“Or should I say! Glenn wannabe! OH! Gotcha! Where is Glenn?” Mark barreled into him knocking him backwards and to the ground!

“Mark! Glenn is alright! He’s at the house now!” Brenda answered as she scurried around to find the gun in the moonlight! Mark gave her one quick glance and found himself being kicked in the chest, knocking the air out of him, causing him to buckled over!

“Yeah! Glenn is safe and sound at the house, for the moment! Ya have all the balls in the world ta even speak ta me about how dare I touch yer woman! Or is it alright for only you ta touch others men’s wives, sisters, daughters, hell even mothers...I don’t know what turns ya on! But one lil lady ya should of never touched! Was my Jill!” He said as he gave Mark a kick in the side! Brenda looked up to hear Mark give a loud grunt and then continued searching for the gun!

“If ya loved her so much! Why did ya kill the poor girl? I didn’t know she was attached anyway! It was just two people havin’ a good time, we were laughin’ and drinkin’! Shit happens!” Mark said as he got another kick to the side! Mark rolled over into a fetal positioned! Holding his sides.

“Lil lady likes to play rough! Oh I know, this is stand by your man! More like lie down by your man!” He laughed and grabbed her up by her arm and brought her close to him! He suddenly felt himself being turned around and finding a fist connecting to his face!

“Like I said! Don’cha ever touch my woman!” Mark connected a few more blows in quick sessions to his trunk! Taker style! Finally, Mark gave his size eighteens a chance to get in on the action as well, he sent Gus to the ground with a boot upside the head! And to make sure he wouldn’t have enough left in him to cause anymore trouble! Mark belly flopped his huge frame on him with all he had! It would have squashed an ordinary man! She beckoned for him to bend down! he did, she covered his mouth with her own as they hungrily kissed each other, from relief! Mark soon pulled away as he looked at how her lips glistened from the wet kiss they just shared! He felt himself coming alive! But that will have to wait! They needed to get to the others!

Grant and Sharon had made it to the living room where they found Glenn sitting on the couch with Lynne attending to him! Grant watched how she fussed over the big goof! He seemed really put on the dog! Sharon looked puzzling at Grant who shook his head!

“So Glenn! I see you’re seeming to be coming around very nicely!” Grant said as they approached the two! Glenn jumped startled!

“Grant! Hey man! How ya doing? Considering!” Glenn smiled at Lynne who kept her eyes on the big man!

“I’m okay man! Just glad to see you’re okay!” Grant said as he looked around noticing Brenda and Mark hadn’t made it back, wondering if they were alright!

“Okay! I’ve had enough of all of ya! Get over there, all of you right NOW!!” Bart yelled emerging from the hallway, rubbing his face! Grant grabbed Sharon to him as he turned to face Bart holding the gun!

“It’s goin take more’n yer lil’ fist to keep me down, boy!” Bart scowled as he made his way between them and the door! Lynne thought if she could reach her gun, she may be able to turn the tides!

“I know what ya thinking lil’ cop Lady! But I wouldn’t try anything that may get one of these gents killed! Now I have three ladies to get my kicks off later! As soon a Gus gets back here with the other one! Oh, lil’ fed lady! I decided to keep you after all! I’ll kill you after I’m done with you! Your boyfriend changed my mind! I may even give him a treat! And let him watch!” He said as he gave Grant an half crooked grin! Sharon felt Grant tense but tighten her grip on his, to settle him!

“Guess why he wanted to kill me everyone! To shut me up! He didn’t want me to tell his brother he didn’t kill his girlfriend after all! His brother here did! She and big Brother here had been making out for a long time without little brother having clue to what was going on!” Sharon said trying to calm down the situation, hoping Mark and Brenda would comeback with Gus in line! Bart tilted his head slightly with that stupid grin still fixed to his face, as he beckon for her continue her tale! He was getting a sick sadistic thrill out of hearing it again!

“When little brother Gus saw Mark and Jill together he confronted her! We all know that part! he thought he killed her! But he only knocked her out! Bart here came in behind his fleeing brother, confronting her on what she was doing with Mark, she laughed in his face! It seems old Bart here isn’t as good in bed as he thought! So he killed her and used his brother all this time to get his kicks off!” She said as she saw the grin on his face turn to a line at that last remark!
